Sounds Like Guest Characters Could Be Coming To Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
In an interview with Mad Catz during EVO 2014 Ed Boon spoke about the possibility of guest character DLC for Mortal Kombat X It seems a bit odd to be speaking of guest characters for Mortal Kombat X when we only had the game's seventh main character announced during EVO here recently. None the less the people from Mad Catz decided to ask the question of "guest characters" during one of the live streams from the event even though Ed Boon mention a whole bunch of new characters Mortal Kombat X. It makes no sense to ask the question but they did and we got the answer of sorts. While it is not a confirmation of anything, Mr. Read More...

Just In Case You Wanted To Go Hands Free Here Is There Came An Echo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for There Came An Echo shows off the voice commands in the War Room mode of the game Who needs the Kinect or the PS Camera when you can control every aspect of a game with your voice like in There Came An Echo? Yes, this feature has been in many other titles in the past and it has been met with great criticism and hatred but why not try it again? It was talked about for There Came An Echo before but we have yet to see anything in the way of actual voice command working for the game. That was until now… (Queue epic movie voice) In the below trailer we actually get to see all of those promised voice commands in work for There Came An Echo. Read More...

Tekken 7 Has Been Announced With Very Few Details Until SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
At EVO 2014 in Las Vegas, NV Tekken 7 was announced with a nice little trailer and few to go on It's funny that only a few days ago I was asking myself when Tekken 7 could be coming out. All while playing Tekken 6 at home. Well, at least trying to play Tekken 6 as it is still buggy as hells after its release here in the NA region in 2009. Ok, I'll be the bugs and lag made me start to question if Tekken 7 was actually going to see the light of day more than anything. If you have read the headline then you know all of that wondering is now over. Read More...

Raiden Is The Answer To "Who's Next?" For Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
During EVO 2014 in Las Vegas, NV it was revealed that Raiden will be a fighter in Mortal Kombat X Now we can take the fighter count to at least seven for Mortal Kombat X as Raiden has been confirmed to be coming back to the franchise. Not that big of a shocker (pun intended) as Raiden has been an iconic character much like Scorpion and Sub Zero have been over the last umpteen incarnations of the franchise lore. I could be wrong but I believe he has been in every version of the franchise in some form where as some have been left out for various reasons. I'm talking film and everything not just the games here. Read More...

Assassin's Creed Unity Brings Us Some Revolutionary Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay/accolades trailer for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released and shows off some rather neat stuff Attention all of you assassin's out there. We have a new Assassin's Creed Unity gameplay trailer to look at and pull apart for our amusement. Just like draw and quartering that was all the rage around the times back then. Give or take fifty years or so. Short of the guillotine and Arno's favorite ways though, those are the only forms of execution we get to see in this gameplay. Read More...

What Do You Want In You Dead Island 2 Collector's Edition?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of July 2014 - 07:06 PM ]
Deep Silver and Yager Development want to know what you are looking for in a Collector's Edition for Dead Island 2 If you are into collector's editions of game then you may want to pay attention here as Dead Island 2 is slated for one and Deep Silver/Yager Development want to know what you would like to see in said edition. This isn't anything new for the company as they have done it with previous titles but it is something I wished more companies did as we are the ones paying for these expensive bundles. Do we really want to leave it up to the marketing teams to tell us what kind of cool things we want in our big bundles? Read More...

Nerdist Is Taking Us Into The Borderlands At SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of July 2014 - 09:02 PM ]
Just announced as part of the outside SDCC events is the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel laser tag arena hosted by Nerdist Not to be left out of the fun of SDCC in now Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel brought to us by Carl's Jr 2K Games and Nerdist. It looks as if they didn't want to miss out on the fun of having something like The Walking Dead Escape at the convention this year so they are bringing us a Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel themed Laser Tag arena for fans to go crazy Broadway style in. Maybe I should say "go crazy Borderlands style" instead but to each their own. During the entire convention we will all be able to be in the Borderlands co-op via laser tag from 11am to 5pm. Evolve Is Now Letting You Take The Hunt To The Real World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Turtle Rock Studios and 2K have released the files to allow us to 3D print the characters and monsters from Evolve I knew it would be only a matter of time before something like what is now available from Evolve would happen. We are now able to get the in-game models to 3D print to our heart's content so we can recreate our own loved hunts in the comfort of our own homes. That doesn't sound completely 'right' to me. We are getting to do that already with Evolve in the virtual world. Read More...

Here Is About Half Of The Dragon Age: Inquisition E3 Demo For You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
If you don't want to rely on second hand impressions, the first half of the E3 Dragon Age: Inquisition demo was released In case my words and off screen footage of the Dragon Age: Inquisition E3 demo did nothing for you let me present you with the first half of said demo in video form. It is a bit different than the one I saw in the fact that the main role being played is a different class but hey, everything else is the same. That and now you don't have to read as many words to get the full experience of what was being shown behind semi-closed doors. Now you only have to wait for the video to buffer and not the hours of wait time to get in to see the demo. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The film adaptation for Heavenly Sword will be released on September 2nd for all to enjoy Back in February we had our last look at the CGI film version of Heavenly Sword. Today we are greeted with a new trailer that explains a bit more of the story for those of you who have yet to play the game. For those of you who have played the game though you can also enjoy seeing how they are making changes to make watching it just as fun as playing Heavenly Sword when it first released. Here is the latest trailer for Heavenly Sword the movie straight from the exclusive clutches of IGN. *grumble* It's been seven years since I last played Heavenly Sword from start to finish but I don't remember Nariko trying to give the sword to a brother. Alien Isolation Is Now A Movie Tie-In Game From The 70's
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Pre-order bonuses for Alien Isolation have been announced and it will let players recreate part of the original film during gameplay No, this isn't announcement about a new movie to go alongside the release of Alien Isolation. If the headline there confused you then I am not sorry to tell you that there is no new film. We are getting the chance to recreate part of the Alien film though; with some of the characters and voices that made the franchise so big that it spawned all those sequels, crappy games, and no Alien Isolation. Note that I have left Alien Isolation out of the crappy games category for now and then we will carry on. Read More...

I've Never Seen Anyone This Excited For Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Audio
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been released showing off the audio direction and design of the game Not only do we want our Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare to look good, we want it to sound good too. You know, to add all that extra immersion into the gaming world while we run all over other people's homeland shooting up the "bad guys" to our heart's content. Keyword here being immersion and audio has just as much to play into that as visual and great gameplay mechanics. This is why we are bringing you the latest in Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare dev diaries showing off very little of the tech going into doing just that. Read More...

Battleborn Has Been Announced And It's Not About Nevada
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Gearbox and 2K Games have announced Battleborn the next-gen hero-shooter for the PS4, XB1, and PC I guess we can now understand why Gearbox has been pushing all the Borderlands spin-offs and that is to keep the money flowing in for their new IP Battleborn. As I stated this is not a title about how Nevada became part of the United States of America but a new FPS co-op title set in the distant future. Although it could be very easy to twist the whole story back into a game about Nevada but I have a good feeling that is nowhere close to what Battleborn is going to be all about. Could you imagine though? Read More...
