There Is More To The Dying Light Story Than We Thought

As we assumed before when we saw the first 15 minutes or so of Dying Light there is going to be one interesting story that will hopefully explain what is going on in the world of the game. Well it looks like Techland and Warner Bros. have decided to give us a bit more insight on the story of Dying Light as now we have the official story trailer for the game. Now we get to know why we have a Parkour Running Instructor risking life and limb for whatever secret mission that whoever has sent him on. Didn't know that before? Well that is part of the latest story trailer you can see just below.

Have a look at that the new story trailer for Dying Light now.

Dying Light — Story Trailer

If I wasn't confused before about Dying Light's story I sure as hells am now. So we play as an instructor who is really a super spy sent in to steal a cure for the 'zombie' virus? That about right or am I just not piecing it all together here? Also, from the looks of it this Harran place looks like it is the only place being ravaged by the outbreak. That of course is the assumption based on the fact that most of the trailer here shows us killing armed guards in fancy labs instead of zombies on dust filled streets. Again I ask, "What is going on?"

Even though I am getting more and more confused by the story of Dying Light I can't deny how much fun it looks to be. I loved Mirror's Edge and it looks like there is going to be a great amount of that style of gameplay in Dying Light to mix into the fare that Techland has already set up with their previous zombie game titles. Even if the story is bunk and convoluted, if they nail the gameplay like in the past Dying Light will be fun and we can ignore a bad story for a game being fun. Right? Sure we can.
