Looks Like We Are Getting Marvel Characters In Our Disney Infinity 2.0
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Marvel has teased that we will be getting some heroes for Disney Infinity 2.0. Captain America is the only 'confirmed' character for now. Earlier today Marvel teased some new characters coming for Disney Infinity in the 2.0 edition of the game. Well more new character but it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that they are going to be pumping as many characters from their universe into the video game/toy cash cow. That and the use of the iconic "Assemble" phrases that go hand in hand with the Avengers, but for right now all we get is Captain America's shield flying around bringing down the baddies of Disney Infinity. Should we all be too shocked with this announcement or tease here? Read More...

The Villains Of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Might Include Carnage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of April 2014 - 07:01 PM ]
There is a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 showcasing some of the other villains Spider-Man will have to bring down. When it comes to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 visually what has been shown hasn't been as impressive as with The Amazing Spider-Man. This could be as we have been spoiled over the last few months with next gen graphics and all we seem to be getting are trailers for the last gen systems. If this is the case then we might have to rely just on the fun factor of the game as well as the story. What makes an interesting story for Spider-Man is usually the villains and their overall goals. A New Amazing Spider-Man 2 Gameplay & Dev Diary Video Swings Onto The Web
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
There is a new Amazing Spider-Man 2 dev diary that digs into some of the new mechanics for the game. Should we be excited for this film video game? It really feels like the film version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is getting so many more trailers than needed while the video game version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has had so few. Only two before today for the game if memory and sleuthing serves me correctly. I'm pretty sure it does so I'll just move on with everything. Read More...

Looks Like We Are Getting Kraven's Help In The Amazing Spider Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of January 2014 - 07:20 PM ]
The official announcement trailer for The Amazing Spider Man 2 has been released to the public and it looks like it will be turning a Spider Man villain into an ally. Or is this a ruse? We had a tease for The Amazing Spider Man 2 a little while back and the time has come where we get the full trailer for the game. Yes it is another film tie-in game but the previous game was actually quite decent given the usual lackluster experience these kinds of games usually provide. Hopefully we can expect the same with The Amazing Spider Man 2. Read More...

Review: Skylanders: Swap Force
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of October 2013 - 05:44 PM ]
It's time for the third installment of the Skylander franchise with Skylanders Swap Force. With it comes a new story, new levels, and new toys to be collected and used. Not to mention that these new toys also have a new mechanic both in the real world and in the game world. That being the ability to trade half of one toy with another and mix and match their powers and look. This is my first foray into the Skylanders franchise so let's see how well it went and if it is worth your time and money to invest in the franchise at this point in the game. The Story Kaos, the main villain who should just really be Invader Zim, is up to his evil plans again. Read More...

Another Film Game Coming For The Amazing Spider-Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of October 2013 - 04:42 PM ]
First let's start with the groans of "A film-based movie for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Then let's remember how not too horrible The Amazing Spider-Man film-based game was. In fact I rather enjoyed it more than I thought and I think that was part and partial to the game being in development longer than most film tie in games. It looks like this could be in the same boat. If you look below we have the announcement trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game that is set to launch alongside the film of the same name. Review: Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of October 2013 - 07:04 PM ]
Here we are five titles into the franchise and we are now getting the ability to manipulate some of our favorite characters and worlds with Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure. While personally I would have preferred a Marvel version, beggars can't be choosers when given the opportunity to rewrite, create, and travel to all of the famous locations in "nerd" history. As should be obvious, I had a chance to get down and dirty with Scribblenauts Unmasked on the PC and I am going to break it down for you to let you know if you should spend the time and money for the game. The Story After all of their fun adventures before, Maxwell and his sister Lilly are having a normal dispute on who is the best DC character. Read More...

Review: Silent Hill: Revelation 3D
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of November 2012 - 06:58 PM ]
It's been six years since we got the damn decent video game movie Silent Hill. Now we fans can rejoice as Silent Hill: Revelation is here. Given the down time we should expect something along the same quality correct? Well I got to check it out, so if you are on the fence about seeing it yourself, let me give you a nudge one way or another. The Story: Years after the events of Silent Hill we follow the tale of Heather and Harry Mason, or as you might remember them Sharon and Christopher Da Silva. They are on the run for reasons to be revealed in the film. Read More...

Review: The Amazing Spider-Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of July 2012 - 11:12 PM ]
It's summer block buster time again in the film industry which means it's also the time we see the video games that coincide with said block busters hitting the shelves. While Marvel missed out on a proper Avengers title, Beenox and Activision made sure that they didn't miss out on a new Spider-Man title. The pair have already churned out the last couple of rather decent titles for the franchise so why not one for the film. Let's see how their faired in a genre that is usually know for making slop that just milks the films for more money. Read More...

Review: Spider-Man: Edge Of Time
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of October 2011 - 08:30 PM ]
Just in the nick of time, Spider-Man is back in another game for us to take on the many comic book villains who plague New York in Spider-Man: Edge Of Time. While not a direct sequel to last year's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, it does have at least two of the dimensions represented and makes reference to the "Other Guys" from the game. That said, does SM: EoT reach or beat the bar that was set last year? We'll let's see. Read More...

Nintendo Drops 3DS Price, Rewards Early Adopters
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 28th of July 2011 - 04:01 PM ]
Nintendo recently announced that on August 12th, they will be reducing the price of the Nintendo 3DS from its original lofty $249.99 to $169.99 - a dramatic decrease. The most likely reason being they've sold less than a million units since the 3DS made its retail debut in North America at the end of March. Besides the high price, the 3DS had a few other things going against it: poor software library, no internet browser, lack of an online virtual store and the thrill over 3D is waning some in the general populace. Still, it all comes down to dollars and sense. Read More...
