A new gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team has been announced called the Kaos Doom Challenge and plays like a tower defense Just in case giving us the ability to use and play as the villains in Skylanders Trap Team wasn't enough, it looks like we are getting yet another mode to play the game in. No longer do we have just a fun little platformer game but now we are looking at a "tower defense" of sorts making its way into the game in the form of the Kaos Doom Challenge. There is something about that word and Kaos that I can't just seem to put my finger on…* Anyways, this new gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team looks to pit players and all of their Skylanders in a 100 wave of "doom" where enemies will be flooding the arena to take you down. The new release date for Dying Light has been announced and it is sooner than we all thought it might be I don't know about you but I was really let down that I wouldn't be able to play Dying Light this October. When it was delayed I could do nothing but question "why?" when the game looked polished enough when I saw it at all the past conventions. None the less it was claimed that Dying Light wasn't going to be hitting the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, or PC until February of 2015. The Forza Rewards Program is coming the same time that Forza Horizon 2 launches Forza Horizon 2 is a few weeks away from release and is racing out on September 30th on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Playground Games and Microsoft has announced a new loyalty program starting with Forza Horizon 2. The Forza Rewards Program rewards players monthly based on how much they play any Forza game in the series since Forza 2. Players will be gifted cars and in game money based on their advancement and playtime. The first batch of cars available when the game launches are listed below along with their tier level required if you are on tier 6 you will be gifted all the cars when the game launches on September 30th. The How Will You Survive video series continues for Alien Isolation showing off why guns don't solve everything in the game If you've been out of the loop then you may have missed that Sega and Creative Assembly have a nice little video series slowly coming out for Alien Isolation. The idea behind it all is how to survive in the world that the game takes place in. It is also a nice look at how not to play Alien Isolation as the actions taken by the player in these videos seem to always lead to the titular alien hunting them down and doing very bad things to them. We now have a trailer for Resident Evil Revelations 2 from Capcom and it looks to show flashes of gameplay and cut scenes It didn't take to long for Capcom to give us what we all really wanted for Resident Evil Revelations 2, an actual trailer. Yesterday it was announced that Resident Evil Revelations 2 was going to be an episodic title to lead up to a physical release on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. There were also a few screen shots for the game in the mix but now we get to see them all in working order. New details and screen shots for Resident Evil Revelations 2 have been released from Capcom and it looks like another episodic adventure So Resident Evil Revelations 2 was announced and a few bits of information about the game were spilled through various means but it looks like the horse's mouth, Capcom, has given us more than expected for this upcoming title. The biggest of all being that Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be continuing the episodic structure that we have all come to see in our zombie games. A new Bethesda Underground video has been released showing off just how they got some of those gruesome sound effects for The Evil Within We already know that The Evil Within is going to have some amazing voice talents but there is so much more to the audio for a game like this than just famous voice overs. Flesh being torn, brains being stabbed, bones being crushed, and limbs being ripped also make the fear factor of a survival horror title. Alien Isolation has gone gold and with that announcement Sega and Creative Assembly have given us a new trailer for the game It's always a good day when we can say that a game has gone gold and there are no more delays, which happens to be just the case for Alien Isolation. So far the alpha and beta builds of the game have handled amazingly as well as brought the horror back to the franchise. This is one of the few titles I am still looking forward to for the rest of this year so the golden announcement will make this October 7th such an amazing day. Ubisoft has just announced a new collection of titles for the Assassin's Creed franchise titled the Birth Of A New World - The American Saga launch before the newer titles Just in case you didn't think you were going to get enough Assassin's Creed this year with Unity and Rogue launching in November it looks like there is another set of titles coming just weeks before the one-two punch of those titles. All on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC at that. Slender: The Arrival is bringing its brand of horror to the PS3 and Xbox 360 before the end of September It's been almost a year since Slender: The Arrival released on Steam and well over a year for the release before that. To be honest I never was able to get caught up in the fun of Slenderman being that I am primarily a console player. Boo and hiss all you want but that won't change things for me right now. What is changing though is that Slender: The Arrival is being brought over to the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 23rd so now all of us gamers can experience what the phenomenon is all about. Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Rogue and it looks like Shay has some work cut out for him We had a few images for Assassin's Creed Rogue yesterday and now it looks like we have a bit more gameplay to show in video form. Not only has a bit of gameplay but it looks like a bit more of the game's story has been mixed into the footage as well. Granted it isn't much more than we already know but one thing it does seem to stress upon is that Shay will be hunted just as he is hunting down the assassin's in Assassin's Creed Rogue. A release date and pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X has been announced and it is looking downright amazing Here we have it, the Mortal Kombat X release date. We now know when we should be getting to get back into the gut ripping action and it is now set for April 14th 2015. At least in the NA region for now but if history serves the EU and other regions should only need to wait a few days until they can have Scorpion or Goro dismembering them limb from limb. Or controlling said characters on their console of choice. A new live action trailer for Destiny has been released showing off how the game should feel when playing with friends I made the comment earlier that people have been losing their excitement for Destiny as the game's launch date looms even closer. I also claimed that something needed to be done to get the excitement back even after the Planet View site cropped up.
