Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad Hacking Sexily Onto 360
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 4th of August 2008 - 11:25 PM ]
As a fan of Japanese import titles, it's was a big surprise to find out one of my favorite budget title series was headed to the Xbox 360.  D3Publisher (Dark Sector) has announced Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad for the 360 without an official release date. You will take controls of the sexy sword swigning sisters Aya and Saki, as you take on zombie hordes in order to save the world.  The game title is not misleading in the least, as you will be in control of Aya who has basically a bikini, hat and boots on as she fights, while her sister Saki is in a Japanese schoolgirl uniform. There will be multiple game modes to let you immerse yourself in the experience of Onechanbara, to include Story, Free Play, Survival, Quest and more. Read More...

Sum Up Of E3 Under 6 Minutes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of July 2008 - 08:38 PM ]
Zero Punctuation Take On E3 Since I am a man of my word and like to tell you all about things that most of you probably know about, I'll be hitting this up as they get updated as well. The quick and dirty of it, is this guy does some great reviews and rants about games today. Granted, I have only seen on review where he praise the game 100%, but it always good for a laugh and see what others think. This week's video is about how bad this year's E3 was. Boy do I agree with most of the points here. Read More...

Guilty Gear 2: Overture
by Taylor Rose [ Wednesday, 23rd of July 2008 - 03:41 AM ]
Guilty Gear has always been one of my favorite series of fighter games because it greatly impairs our oh-so-beloved button mashers from pwning ass. Take Soul Calibur II for instance: when playing as Rafael, by repeatedly pushing one button, Rafael will rapidly flail his sabre, often leaving the other player no chance to retaliate. The control structure in Guilty Gear is so brilliant because rapidly pushing the punch or kick button won't get you very far: special combos are based mainly on the combination of buttons and quarter or half turns with the joystick or directional pad. It has so far proven to be a very difficult game to master - but isn't that what one looks for? Read More...

Microsoft Opening XBL For Users To Create Own Games
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2008 - 10:46 PM ]
Think you have what it takes to build your own game for Xbox Live, and can do better than what is out there now?  Well now you can, as Microsoft has announced that XNA Game Studio software will be made available to gamers who yearn to create their own video games.  Micorsoft already had a trial run of the XNA Creators Club games earlier this year which featured "Little Gamers", "Culture", "Jellycar", "The Dishwasher" and others.  MS has plans to introduce the XBox Live Community Games this holiday season to XBL Marketplace. Microsoft unveiled in their plan that you will be able to have your games added to the XBL Marketplace, for a price of 200 to 800 points, after passing a peer review, as well as take home a cut of the total revenue the game makes, which MS claims to be up to 70% in a form of a quarterly check. Zombie Plan 101
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2008 - 05:42 PM ]
The Last Guy Gameplay Video So at last week's E3 show, Sony announced a game called *The Last Guy. Pretty much a game a lot like Infected on the PSP. You run around and save people who are too stupid to save themselves and guide them to a secure location for evacuation. Good concept. Worked for me in the past. But then add on the fact they are going to be using Google Maps for the actual locations to guide people. So real locations will be used. Read More...

Two Words: Man Darts
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2008 - 08:37 PM ]
Mad World E3 Trailer I know I talked about this game once before. It was only when there was a teaser for the game, but it looks like there is an even better trailer for the game that was shown at E3 this year. Like the title says, Man Darts! Watch the trailer and you will see what I mean. Now after this trailer, I am even more intrigued by the game. First it looks as blood, if not more, than No More Heroes. Great game. Read More...

Dead Will Be Rising On The Wii
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2008 - 05:14 PM ]
Dead Rising Ports To The Wii Yes, you read that right. Well at least that is what I have been able to gather from a very broken translation of the Japanese magazine Famitsu. So if you were still waffling on buying an XBox to get this game, it will be out on the Wii. Should be good news for some people who will remain nameless, but they are on this site. Hopefully it will do as well as RE4 did when it ported over as well. Go Capcom. Read More...

All The Videos I Could Round Up For Ya There was a lot going on with E3 yesterday. Way more than I had a chance to keep up with. So, for your viewing pleasure, here is a long list of games and other videos that cam out of the E3 show yesterday. Some of them happened during the press conferences I posted yesterday for Sony and Nintendo, but I just couldn't find ya the videos online. But what's a day late right? Wolfenstein It's short and sweet, but from the looks of it, it looks absolutely beautiful. Read More...

Year Of The PS3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2008 - 09:15 PM ]
From what I was getting about this conference, it wasn't much on huge announcements, but showing off what is coming in the next 9 months. It is breath taking when you see it. I was trying to videos for you before I posted, so, here we go. Resistance II Like I said, not much to talk about for this one. They brought up the coop and multi player game stuff and that was it. Nothing we didn't know already. Read More...

What I Missed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2008 - 06:05 PM ]
So due to real life BS, I missed out on reporting a few new and cool things yesterday, so I am going to hook up the cut now. Gotta thank one of my favorite sites to keep things up to date for me when that shit happens. But enough about me, here's what you really want to read about. Halo Wars: Two New Clips So due out early next year, is the new Halo RTS. I'm sure you Halo fans have already eaten all of this stuff up. But below is a very nice looking, pre-rendered, video for the game giving a bit of the story the RTS will revolve around. Read More...

Friday The 13th
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of July 2008 - 05:39 PM ]
Resident Evil 5 Just announced at the Microsoft Conference at E3. Resident Evil 5 will be released on the 13th of March next year (2009). They showed off a bit more of their co-op play and talked a bit about the new organization that isn't Umbrella. So we could maybe see a demo hit by October. Or at least at any other Conventions that Capcom will be at. On a separate note, www.residentevil. Read More...

More Rockin' News
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of July 2008 - 04:30 PM ]
Rock Band II: Exclusive E3 2008 Gameplay Reveal To be honest, this clip isn't anything to write home to mom about. It looks almost totally the same, gameplay and graphics wise. But then again, it is more or less just a etase for the game anyways. There are a couple of new looking visual effects that happen in the background, but when you are playing, you are not looking at those anyways. But here's the video "for those of you who are into those kinds of things". To quote a great TV show. Read More...

PSN Releases
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of July 2008 - 09:16 PM ]
For 7/10/2008 So there is a huge list of new things this week if you are a PS3 owner. And live in the US. I hate seeing that Europe gets screwed over almost every week when it comes time for new stuff. Makes me feel a little bad. But if you guys over there are a little crafty and got a US account on your system, I totally say check out the Siren stuff. I have yet to download it, but from the videos I have seen online, it looks to be amazing. And then there are the new RHCP songs for Rock Band. Read More...
