You Have A Friend In Zane Within Borderlands 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of July 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Borderlands A new character breakdown for Borderlands 3 is here to give us more on Zane, the new vault hunter coming to Borderlands 3 We are finally getting a few more character videos and details for Borderlands 3. Today we have a new look at Zane the Operative and just what Gearbox is putting into this character to make him feel like a truly new vault hunter in the game but still have the feel for the franchise. That has to be one of those hard balancing acts and everything to do but so far it has seemed to shine for Borderlands 3. This could change based on how it all flows at launch but I doubt that will be the case before or after September 13th. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of July 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We have finally recouped a bit from the epic week of SDCC and had a lot to catch up on the video games front. Not only from the event but also from all the stuff that fell through the cracks due to the team being on the ground. That means we were able to come back and see new stuff for Borderlands 3 and Blair Witch. All in time for the release of Wolfenstein: Youngblood while giving out our thoughts on Doctor Who VR and Iron Man VR. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of July 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Borderlands The next Borderlands 3 planet highlight is here as we take a quick look at Promethea as it stands in Borderlands 3 The galaxy of Borderlands 3 is growing yet again as we have one more planet to look at for the game. Just another in the growing list we will get to explore and shoot up when the game hits us on September 13th. It is not at all shocking that we would be seeing yet another one in the mix from Gearbox with the timetables and now we have Promethea to take in. All of the glory, history, and things that will try to kill us. Read More...

GameStop Harasses Former Employee & Gets Them Fired
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Thursday, 25th of July 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
GameStop YouTube personality and former GameStop employee, CAMELOT331, gets fired because GameStop just can’t stop doing evil things I have seen many wild things happen in the games industry. Every field of business has its ups and downs but I would argue very few could be as topsy-turvy as the games industry. One of the key aspects of this is how predicated on the combination of new ideas and technology to push the medium forward as an entertainment platform. Those two ideas may produce more convenient avenues for a consumer to access the things they want but it can leave more brick and mortar institutions in the dust. Read More...

The Keepers Of The Void DLC Is Here For Darksiders III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of July 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Darksiders The next DLC for Darksiders III is here and it looks like it will add a whole lot more to Darksiders III than we may have thought Here we go with more for Darksiders III as the Keepers of the Void DLC is here for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. At least for those who picked up the season pass of content in the multiple ways THQ Nordic made it available. It is still available in a solo price mode if this is all you were looking for too. All to make sure you have even more for Darksiders III to play and keep Gunfire Games making more for the franchise. Read More...

Nintendo Is Striking SDCC Pretty Hard Again This Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of July 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Nintendo The Nintendo gaming lounge is coming back to SDCC this year and bringing all kinds of great Nintendo things for fans at the convention Almost a little late to the game, pun intended, it looks like Nintendo will be back at SDCC again with their gaming lounge and many other activities going on. Some out there were getting a bit worried that they would be skipping this year as there has been no word, but today we now have confirmation. Just a day before the convention kicks right off. Borderlands 3 Shows How We Will All Be Happy To Be Shooting Everything
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of July 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Borderlands A new trailer for Borderlands 3 is here to show much of nothing outside of the fun of killing together as always in Borderlands The tease we have had for Borderlands 3 is over as the new trailer is here as promised by Gearbox. A new trailer fresh off the heels of E3 and just a day before SDCC kicks off and… it is just more of a tease. Not in the way of something we will be seeing in the near future, outside of the game, but it is more or less a showing of the fun we can have in Borderlands 3 when playing with friends. September 13th will have us all doing that, sure, but I am going to guess it is not going to look as fun as it all does here. Read More...

Meet More Of The Jeffs On Pandora In Borderlands 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of July 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Borderlands A new series of videos for Borderlands 3 has started to flow out there giving us a look at the various planets we will explore in Borderlands 3 Get ready for a new wave of videos and updates for Borderlands 3, as it looks like our old friend Claptrap is setting out to present us with loads from each of the planets we will be exploring in the game. That is as at least based off the new videos that Gearbox is placing out there to help promote the game and give us all something to watch as we wait for September 13th to finally come and we can play on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. I guess some of us could just watch others play Borderlands 3 on the streams of other gamers, but where is the fun in all of that? Read More...

The Surge 2 Cuts Us All Deep With Some New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
The Surge Gameplay for The Surge 2 is out here now with some developer commentary to explain what has changed for The Surge 2 since we last played We finally have some gameplay for The Surge 2 to take in and see more than the cinematic changes that have been placed into the game from Deck 13. I know all I have seen in the past for the game has been some fancy pre-rendered trailers but now we see all of the limb-slicing and robot dodging action that we should have expected for this franchise. That and how some of the new online features will work in The Surge 2. Something I am sure will cause some issues in the game, but it is what it is. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/17/19 — 6/21/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week felt like such a catchup week for all things video games but I totally blame E3 for all of that. There was so much going on out there and it was rough making sure we were able to cover as much of it as we can. Especially with all of the big titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy VII Remake having a huge showing this year. It was also great getting to talk about video games like Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood and the upcoming Blair Witch title that seemed to pop up out of nowhere. Read More...

E3 2019 Impressions — Cyberpunk 2077
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Cyberpunk While at E3, I was able to see Cyberpunk 2077 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Cyberpunk 2077. The hype levels were off the charts for Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 this year. From the surprise announcement of characters during the Xbox Event to the announcement of the release date to the fifty-minute demo that was out there for the lucky few out there to experience from CD Projekt RED. The only thing not made available to the public as of yet being that new demo for Cyberpunk 2077. Something that was out to highlight more of the gameplay and the various ways we all can experience the game when it does finally hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16th of 2020. Read More...

E3 Hands-On — Darksiders Genesis
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Darksiders While at E3, I was able to see Darksiders Genesis in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Darksiders Genesis. Many of us before and during E3 were hoping to see a new Darksiders game come out and it was teased heavily before the event. It was also revealed by THQ Nordic that we were actually going to be getting another entry in the series from Airship Syndicate that would take us all down a different path for the gameplay. At least we have the final horseman to join us for this ride. Something I am looking forward to after having a bit of time with Darksiders Genesis and knowing there is still time to update and alter things that may not have flowed just right. Read More...

E3 Hands-On — Phantom: Covert Ops
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Phantom While at E3, I was able to see Phantom: Covert Ops in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Phantom: Covert Ops. This year it felt like there was a lack of VR out at E3, but that does not mean it was not there and it did allow for titles like Phantom: Covert Ops to shine out a bit more than normal. Something that many could easily have looked over on the floor if there were loads of other titles out there. Thankfully, I had a chance to sneak down to nDreams to see just what they had for us this year and it was a nice little stealth VR title where we stay seated in a kayak the whole time. Read More...
