Killzone 3 Trying To One Up Uncharted 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of May 2010 - 07:28 PM ]
While it might not seem like it, since they are all Sony developers, it looks as if Guerrilla Games is trying to do just that visually. That and just recently the Senior Producer of Guerrilla Games said as much. But knowing that from the start doesn't help me grab your eyes and thrust them to these new screen shots for Killzone 3. At least new as in Hi-Res as most have been seen already as online scans. Pretty much what you would expect so far am I right? Read More...

Kane & Lynch Bring Childhood Games Back
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of May 2010 - 03:24 PM ]
Remember when you were younger, more innocent and you use to play Cops and Robbers with all of your neighbors and school friends? Those were good times. Running around pointing fingers like fake guns, or using NERF™ guns. Swapping sides when caught stealing whatever little toy you had placed out there. Gods those were good times. Then we all grew up. Microsoft's Project Natal To Be Priced At $149
by Brian Goodman [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 11:32 PM ]
Accoriding to a report from Edge-Online today Microsoft has set a $149 price tag on its upcoming motion capture camera dubbed "Project Natal". This price is three times the original rumored price of $49. To keep it relative the anticipated pricepoint of Sony's similar upcoming hardware release "move" is rumored to be only $99. Will Microsoft sell the millions of units to the casual and non-traditional gaming crowd that it anticipates at this price point? Will Sony destroy any possibility of success with its newly announced 31% of the console market and its significantly cheaper "Move"? Read More...

Chris Hunting Hunters In Marvel Vs Capcom 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 09:21 PM ]
Ok, well not really, but think about the below shot of Chris Vs. The Hulk. Shot gun blast to the face of a big green hulking monster. Just like the first Resident Evil. Maybe that is how they are going to link a few of the stories for the game. That could also be a stretch though. But it could be easy to see happening. What other stories can we come up with from all the below Hi-Res screen shots from Capcom's next major fighter? Let's see. Read More...

Naughty Bear Are You Losing Your Touch?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 07:06 PM ]
As Naughty Bear has been stealing more and more for the book How To Be More Like Hades™, I would have expected him to use one of the better rules this time around. That rule being #12, "Use Their Own Knife Against Them." But instead he went with the less used rule #1012, "Curb Smash When You Can." Which does not make sense as it is a larger slap in the face to gut someone with their own machete. Watch the below clip from the Book Of Naughty and see what I mean. #86 "Naughty-Kill" is not all that naughty. Read More...

Two Worlds II Trailer Debuts
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 04:55 PM ]
TopWare Interactive has just debuted it's latest trailer for Two Worlds II. The sequel to Two Worlds, which at release was labeled as the "clone" of the Oblivion series. Two Worlds was off to a rocky start and very buggy in the beginning. Not to mention the community had very little patience for an epic adventure of this proportion to be that buggy out of the box. Through it all TopWare moved forward and continued working on Two Worlds II to bring the players back to the world of Antaloor. Enhanced AI, balancing standards, experienced authors, an active combat system, theinnovative DEMONS™ magic management, and the PAPAK™ alchemy system guarantee enjoyment for new and experienced gamers. Gaming In The Clouds
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 26th of May 2010 - 11:19 PM ]
The Cloud. You've heard about it. You've probably use it in forms such as DropBox, Gmail, or the hundreds of other programs out there hosting your files so that no matter where you are, they are available at the click of a mouse. Just stick your files into Cyberspace, and worry about them later. With supercomputers and data centers hosting Peta-Bytes worth of data, it seems kind of silly that you have to install your favorite game onto your computer, or every computer that you want to play it on. You can do it with video, why not video games? Think about it for a sec, why fill up your hard drive with titles dependent on your computers hardware, and every time the newest Crysis inception is released you have to upgrade that hardware? Knights Contract Trying To Out Gore Splatterhouse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of May 2010 - 09:17 PM ]
While the announcement trailer for Knights Contract didn't do much to whet my whistle for the 2011 title, I will say that these screen shots just recently thrown out definitely do. I actually had no clue how blood and rage filled this game could potentially be. I mean, the trailer showed a bit, but these do so much more justice. Although visuals don't always make a game, they do add to the storytelling process of games. So we can only imagine how a skinned warrior and a huge, odd shaped looking monster fit in. Read More...

Splatterhouse Cranked To 11
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of May 2010 - 07:12 PM ]
Maybe it is because Alpha Protocol got a music video rendition. Or maybe not. But Splatterhouse looks so frigging METAL that it needs it's own "music video" to promote it. Which is just what I have to submit to you below, if you approve or not. So crank it to 11 and watch the bloody awesomeness that is Splatterhouse. If you are not a metal head, still hit the mute button and watch the gameplay and visuals of the game. Great choice of music and shots of the game in my opinion. Read More...

The Sights Of Gears Of War 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of May 2010 - 08:38 PM ]
For a game that is still just slightly under a year out, by the gods it is looking good. But that was to be expected for Gears Of War 3 was it not? I mean it is using a very powerful gaming engine to run it. It just comes down to the artist and compression teams to make it run and look good on the XBox now. Which I am sure there will be no problem at that at all. Below you will see some renders of the characters of Gears Of War 3. Read More...

The Beauty Of Final Fantasy XIV
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of May 2010 - 01:51 PM ]
Now I was not a big fan of Final Fantasy XI. Maybe it was the grind. Maybe it was the lack of people that I like to play with. Maybe it was the lower end graphics for the game. At least lower end to my high standards. Yes I am a graphics prima donna now. I have been spoiled by the "next gen" consoles and higher end PC graphics for too long. Well at least now due to online socializing and the below new screen captures of Final Fantasy XIV, it looks like two of the above three issues I had will be taken care of. At least if these are in game shots, most likely, and not pre-rendered from an intro clip or cut scene type clips. Read More...

Save Money With Microsoft?
by Kevin [ Monday, 24th of May 2010 - 08:19 PM ]
Well, there's nothing quite like a 50% off coupon for games, and I think we can all agree that when the games available for that deal are actually good then that makes the deal that much sweeter. Microsoft has a nice little deal going on over at the Microsoft Store for some select titles. There are a nice amount games on the list right now and I think after you look over it, you'll be making your way to the website. The list of games includes: Tony Hawk: RIDE Skateboard Bundle NCAA Football 10 Madden NFL 10 Street Fighter IV Resident Evil 5 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Overlord II Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution DJ Hero Bundle Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Star Ocean: The Last Hope Ghostbusters: The Video Game Infinite Undiscovery Battlefield: Bad Company Batman: Arkham Asylum Where the Wild Things Are Lego Star Wars Complete Saga The Orange Box Army of Two Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 Guitar Hero Metallica NBA 2K10 Spider-Man: Friend or Foe Rock Band Track Pack Classic Rock Guitar Hero: Smash Hits Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Kit X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Bioshock Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Shaun White Snowboarding Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood FUEL Left 4 Dead 2 Tom Clancy's H. Review: Iron Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 23rd of May 2010 - 07:14 PM ]
So you've read the comics. You've seen the film, most likely. You hopefully listened to the developer's call. Now you might be wondering if you should go through with playing Iron Man 2 the video game. Well let me tell you my thoughts to hopefully make up your mind on what you should do, or at least make a small impact on which way you sway. Before we get into the nitty gritty, I do want to warn that this game is based on the film. But only based as in it is in the same world as the film's events and also uses two of the cast for voice overs. Read More...

Google Gets Pac-Mania
by Kevin [ Sunday, 23rd of May 2010 - 12:42 PM ]
To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Pac-Man, Google has done one of the coolest things with their logo in recent memory, transforming it into a playable stage of the classic game. Though I hesitate to think that this will be a trend and will lead to more video game related logos for Google, it's good to see that when they decide to introduce something gaming related they actually make it interactive and not static. You can start the game by "inserting a coin" or by waiting ten seconds before the game starts automatically. Pac-Man has been one of the constants of gaming since 1980, and was introduced when the more popular games of the time were space shooters like Asteroids. Read More...

Alpha Protocol REMIX!!!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of May 2010 - 11:41 PM ]
Well now this is an interesting new way to get the word out about Alpha Protocol. Music video/remix style. I am not kidding. Also, before you think it, this is not a fan film for the game either, but something specifically produced from Sega and Obsidian for Alpha Protocol. Silly yes, but it is worth a watch. Kind of catchy if you ask me. Even though it sounds like it is just a long argument over Michael's name. Read More...
