The Clashing Of The Titans Is Still Going On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of April 2010 - 07:17 PM ]
Well now that the film has come and still kind of around in theaters, some of these screen shots (below) for Namco's video game version of the game have begun to make a little more sense. Although there were still no frog people in the film, some of the updated and altered creatures and scenes fit in a little better. With that said, some of the in-game character models look a little bulkier then their film counter parts. The insane cult leader is a perfect example. Read More...

Clash Of The Titans Is Clashing Against Time
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of April 2010 - 11:14 PM ]
I find it a little odd, yet a little relieving, that the game based on the recent release of Clash Of The Titans isn't hitting shelves for another two months. Really odd as most of the time the licencors want a game to hit along side the release of a movie. Which generally leads to rushing and piss poor work being slopped out there to make a buck or two. Look at most of the movie based games out there and you will see this is the case. It's part of the reason this "genre" of game sucks monkey nipples. Read More...

Halo Movie Has Cometh
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of April 2010 - 04:23 PM ]
That's right. You read the title right. IGN just posted the video that came along with the cryptic image of Master Chief that appeared yesterday (3/31/10). It wasn't the tease for a new game, but a live action Halo film. Oh yea. It's happening. Words can not sum up the epicness of this video. It even looks like it is going to sum up the entire game story perfectly. I mean, just from the below clip you can see how close they stay to the story. Just watch and enjoy. Read More...

Clash Of The Titans Is The Diet Coke Of GOW
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of March 2010 - 05:20 PM ]
With the US release of the film only about a week away, it is time that Namco started to pump out some good screen shots for the Clash Of The Titans video game. Which, looking below, they just did. Some rather good ones too that don't have me questioning what is being added to the story just for the game. Most of the below are actually the reworked creatures being used in the modernized film. Like the Kraken that looks like a sand worm from Final Fantasy and the centaurs. Read More...

[UPDATE] Who Is The Last Titan Standing?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of March 2010 - 04:30 PM ]
Just as promised, we have the trailer for The Last Titan Standing. A short little 16 second trailer showing very little of what actually went on within the show. Not to mention a reminder about watching the full competition tonight (3/15/10) on Spike TV. So please take a gander at it. Now that you have gandered, are you a bit more excited? Yes, it looks cheesy. Yes, it looks another "reality show. Read More...

Clash Of The Frog People...Er I Mean...Titans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 13th of March 2010 - 12:42 AM ]
Maybe I am forgetting what happened in the 1981 version of Clash of The Titans, but I don't remember there being frog people challenging Perseus. It was a long time ago, but I still have no recollection of that. Please correct me if I am wrong. But in any instance, Perseus looks to be taking on frog people in the new game based on the remake of the classic Clash of The Titans. On top of our amphibian friends, it looks like a load of other new creatures were also made just for the game. Which continues the question I posed before, is this loosely based off a remake that looks loosely based off the original? Read More...

Who Is The Last Titan Standing?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of March 2010 - 07:45 PM ]
A few weeks ago Spike TV posed this question to God of War fans all over North America with a casting call for their show God of War: The Last Titan Standing. A show that was designed to place true God of War fans into the action of the game by recreating some challenges Kratos endured in his epic story. On top of the challenges, this enabled these lucky individuals to be amongst the first in the world - sans media and the developers - to actually play God of War III. A "real" test to show who is the world's largest God of War fan out of a selected 10 people. Read More...

Not Your Parents Clash Of The Titans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 12:30 AM ]
Only a little more than a month away until the "remake" of the classic 1981 Clash Of The Titans hits theaters. For those who are early 80's movie retarded, it was a retelling of the Greek story of Perseus' persecution. Albeit a bit skewed from the original tale for film purposes, but a fun clay-mation driven film. The new film a deviation from the original from the looks of things, and not just the modern effects and CGI, but a bit of the story. The film is not what this is all about though. Read More...

The Tester Bring Gamers Into Reality TV... Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of February 2010 - 06:24 PM ]
If you follow the PlayStation Blog or the official Twitter accounts for Sony, you have obviously heard that Sony is doing a reality show for the PSN specifically. A show called The Tester. The premise, eleven "gamers" live together and complete challenges to see who will win the big prize, to be a game tester for Sony. What is slated as the dream job for pretty much any gamer. Right? A Dead Rising Movie... For Real?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2010 - 03:11 AM ]
Thankfully, it is not being done by Uwe Bole. Un-thankfully, it looks like it will be just a bad Japanese subtitled flick that will have people like me hating subtitles even more. Too much reading when there is so much action going on behind those bogging words. But in any instance, it looks like it is still a go. Here is the trailer for the film, and it looks nothing like I remember from the game at all. Partially because it is only based off the game world and takes place in a separate part of the world and protagonized by two totally different characters. Read More...

Tekken: The Movie... The Trailer.. From Last Year?
by Kevin [ Monday, 18th of January 2010 - 06:14 PM ]
Surprisingly, there are many out there who are not aware of the Tekken live action film. Not surprisingly, I would consider those people fairly lucky. What's really interesting is that the movie supposedly dropped in the US, LAST NOVEMBER. Does anyone remember this? Essentially, the story was as such: "In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu. In order to keep the masses down, Mishima sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters battle until one is left standing, who in turn will receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth. We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a teenage street fighter who enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon the Mishima Zaibatsu's most powerful and controlling chairman – Heihachi Mishima. Aggrocast Episode Fifty Six: CES Wrap-Up
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 11th of January 2010 - 09:12 PM ]
Brian, Binh & David are back to wrap up the Consumer Electronic Show for 2010.  In an odd turn of events they start with Day 4 and what Binh caught as the show closed (Wii sniper rifle); then they moved onto Day 2 including a recreation of events that you would normally see here, a visit with Capcom and a "celebrity" sighting.  Things finish up with the guys talking Saturday's Day 3.  With no appointments to meet, it was time to get to all the spots they missed previously. by Binh Nguyen [ Sunday, 13th of December 2009 - 05:18 AM ]
On December 12th of ’09, Spike TV held their 7th annual Video Games Award. The Nominees were in, the ballets were turned in and it was time to find out who won. We could go through every award, but we all know we just want to know who won the 2009 Game of the Year. Well the Nominees for Game of the Year were Assassin’s Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. After having to wait about two hours we finally got our answer. The winner was PlayStation 3's own Uncharted 2, from Naughty Dog. Read More...

Shh. We Got Your Tron Tease. Don't Tell...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of November 2009 - 04:52 AM ]
While not overly impressive as a full video of gameplay or what is going on the game, that will come later at the VGA's, what we do have is a little sneak peek at what the video game of a movie about a killer video game may be have with in the lines of code. Yea, that was a stretch for a very lack luster attempt at a joke. In any instance, if you are interested in being teased with very little actual game play or story shots for the game part of the new film Tron, then below is something for you. It is a short promo showing off a little bit of the fact that there will be light cycles in the game. Read More...
