While it is not a game with a great overall concept like Brütal Legend, Costume Quest is just about what we have come to expect from Tim Schafer's studio Double Fine. Oh wait, you don't know what Costume Quest is? Let me give you the run down. Costume Quest is a rollicking Adventure/Role-Playing game that unfolds on Halloween night across seemingly peaceful suburban neighborhoods, a mysterious village carnival, and a monster-infested shopping mall. While the final DLC pack for BioShock 2 is on its way here in the coming months, it has been officially been announced that the franchise will live on. While wandering about the show floor of SOE's Fan Faire, I stumbled upon something I have not had a good look at in almost a decade: Magic: The Gathering. You know for a game that was not as widely accepted, outside of a small cult following, you would think that 505 Games and A2M would have moved on to another IP. But I guess it looks like Naughty Bear finally balled up and took them on to make his game even better. Let's face it, everyone likes to hand out a good old shanking to someone's face every now and then.* What better way to do that than a really cool "electrified" blade from behind? Am I right? Just when you thought that maybe there was nothing left to be done in BioShock 2 another DLC pack is sent our way. First it was more multiplayer. It has been a long while since we had any good news about Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 hasn't it? Almost eight months it has been since the VGA's ran the announcement trailer for Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Games' next incarnation of the best Batman game to date. It has been only a little over a month after we first brought you our thoughts on Dead Space 2 from E3. So what new can we bring you about DS2 that we haven't already talked about? Well, actually getting to take the reins of the demo they showed in the back rooms at E3 for one. If you have seen the game play from E3, then you know exactly what part of the game we got to look at behind curtains at Comic Con. There has always been a huge division between Rock Band and Guitar Hero. For me it was the difficulty factor for each and not completely about the sound tracks or "story" of the career mode. For a while it was Guitar Hero that was hard just to be hard and Rock Band with some form of a story mode - at least when it comes to the off shoots. That was until I started playing Guitar Hero 5 and found that the difficulty has been toned WAY down; mainly in the way of lenience on the precision of button timing. I have played so many songs on expert and have been able to hit notes I should have never been physically able to hit do to timing and finger placement. Read More...

Ever since it was announced at E3 that there would finally be a Twisted Metal making its debut on the PS3, I have been waiting ever so patiently for a really good showing of what the people over at Eat Sleep Play have accomplished - outside of the demo they had and modes announced. Perhaps reveal some story, game play modes or other characters. All those were all strongly touched on by David Jaffe at this year's Comic Con.
