Play Left4Dead 2 At San Diego Comic Con
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 13th of July 2009 - 07:41 PM ]
Regardless of which side of the fence you sit on the release timing issue of Left4Dead 2, if you are going to San Diego Comic Con, you will want to jump on this. Valve will be showing Left4Dead 2 at Comic Con, as well as make it playable. At E3 they showed us "The Parish." This time around they plan on demonstrating a new campaign ("Swamp Fever") along with some never-before-seen items. After seeing Left4Dead 2 at E3 and going hands-on, I am already extremely hyped on the game and encourage everyone at SDCC to stop by the EA Gaming Lounge in the Gaslamp Hotel and try it out. If for nothing else, get your hands on some melee weapons and hack up some zombies. Read More…

What We Are Able To Show Of Mass Effect 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of July 2009 - 04:57 PM ]
Mass Effect 2 Developer Diary One of the big things that was kept behind guarded close doors a month ago at E3 was Mass Effect 2. EA wen to great measures to ensure that no one caught video or even spoke about what was seen in the small closed off room. With good sense given some of the spoilers and how epic this game looks like it is going to be. If you are a fan, you know what I'm talking about here. Well here is some good news for you that were not one of the lucky few to get into that hidden booth, but have heard about things from it. Read More…

Ghostbusters LPB Costumes Last week one of the fun little things announced for LittleBigPlanet was the addition of a cool little Ghostbusters costume for the game. Well a few of them, but we only got a glimpse of one. You know, the ghost logo guy. look it up on your own time if you don't remember. Well this morning, from the official PlayStation blog, a screen of all four of the costumes you will be able to get this Thursday was just placed for our viewing pleasure. That and a few user created tributes to the film using existing stickers and creation tool stuff and the music video for Ghostbusters. A nice little fun tribute from them for the film too. Luckily for all of us gamers, there are various options to help us stretch our wallet. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 12th of July 2009 - 04:01 PM ]
High Voltage Software unveiled its Wii-exclusive first person shooter (FPS), The Conduit, to the eager gaming public more than a year ago. Nintendo fans saw the game as a surprising, yet welcome, departure from the Wii’s library of casual games. Furthermore, the lack of exclusive quality shooters for the Wii have starved owners since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption back in 2007. It goes without saying that The Conduit has high expectations to meet. Now that it has finally arrived on store shelves, will High Voltage’s alien blast-fest live up to the hype? Read More…

News Partner Article
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 11:37 PM ]
I don’t even know if this is an actual revelation, but it was the first time I saw this so I thought I’d bring it up. Media Molecule’s latest Twitter update admits that the DLC packs are stashed inside those almost-random LittleBigPlanet updates that show up every so often. LBP patch 1.16 “Caboc” which came out [... Review: Punisher No Mercy [PSN]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 09:43 PM ]
MERCY!? You Want MERCY! I'm Chaotic Neutral! When the Unreal 3 Engine and game came to market, many of us looked at it in awe with the power it game developers and modders to make their own visually stunning FPS games. Other genres can work with it too, but it is totally an FPS engine. One thing I always though would do great was to have a shooter with some of the better of the licensed superhero characters of comic fame. Granted, Punisher was not the absolute first to come time mind for some reason, but it was the top three ideas I thought of. It was also an idea that Zen Studios came up with and make work extremely well with Punisher: No Mercy. Read More…

ABANDON UNVEILS FIRST SCREENSHOTS AND GAMEPLAY TRAILER FOR FREAKY SPACE, FIRST EXPANSION FOR FREAKY CREATURES With a bit of the obscure listed earlier today, I figured I'd keep with that and bring about some news about an obscure MMO that may be a guilty pleasure for some or completely un heards of to others. We don't judge here. There is an MMO style game out there called Freaky Creatures. Read More…

Spymaster Takes Twitter by Espionage
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 06:19 PM ]
Twitter Madness! For those who are not indoctrinated or already addicted, you undoubtedly have friends or acquaintances that can not speak enough about how many followers they have, that they tweeted what they had for lunch (I'm having leftovers) or whether or not Nathan Fillion liked Halo ODST (he did, btw). The interconnectivity can be considered amazing or intrusive depending on how often you check Twitter in a day, how often you tweet, when you're on your [insert phone here] Twitter application and how many text messages are sent to your phone. iList, Inc. The Ultimate Gaming Wishlist
by Jesse [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 04:37 PM ]
For fans of the WWE, there was a lot to love about last year’s WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. Visually the game was astounding. The characters models were about as lifelike as you could possibly get with attention paid to the smallest details. A great amount of time was spent revamping the tag team matches adding things like hot tags, illegal blind tags, and having inactive teammates being more attractive while standing on the ring apron. Add in the Inferno Match which debuted in the 2009 game and you have one heck of a game. But having played so many of the previous WWE games (going all the way back to when the company was still known as the WWF) I personally felt like there was so much I had seen before that had been cut out.
