The Secret World Not Your Average MMO
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 27th of March 2010 - 07:08 PM ]
Just as promised, albeit a day late, here is the new secret that Funcom wanted to reveal to the world on the 25th 26th of March. That secret, how The Secret World's gameplay actually makes it look more like an action/adventure game and not an MMO. Which in this case, is extremely jaw dropping. Watch the video below and see what you think for yourself. Now that you have seen the clip, did you not think it was a new action game? Did you forget it is going to be an MMO? Read More…

Resident Evil VS. Street Fighter
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of March 2010 - 11:06 PM ]
While that could lead to some interesting spin-offs, no it is not a new IP from Capcom. At least as of right now. They do seem to be fans of crossing over two genres or companies for their games. But as of right now, that is not the case. If it does become the case, remember that AggroGamer brought it to you first. So then you must be asking yourself, what is up with the images below and the title above? Well that answer comes from a very talented artist on CHhub names Manuhell. Read More…

Mini Review: The Heavy Rain Chronicles: The Taxidermist
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of March 2010 - 08:26 PM ]
So you played through Heavy Rain and seen all the endings, now what do you do? You could play around and just keep killing the hooker or store clerk for fun. You could try to find other ways to see Ethan off himself if Shaun dies. You could even replay the sex scene, that got no negative mention in the media, and see if you can glitch Madison to stay naked. Just to name a few things to do. You could do one of those options. Knock It Out Of The Splatterhouse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of March 2010 - 06:22 PM ]
It's always a good day when you can walk out to your local park or field and got hit a few things with a bat or club. Be it a baseball, golf ball, or demon. Fun is to be had no matter what. Just to prove it, you can see the look of stoic joy on Splatterhouse's hockey masked Rick from the below screen shots just released by Namco. Look at the look of happiness as his stick swings to the fences through one of these creatures. Look at the sheer and utter giddiness in Ricks eyes as the blood falls around him. Read More…

Mini Review: Dante's Inferno: Dark Forest
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of March 2010 - 05:40 PM ]
Just under a month since Dante's Inferno brought hellfire and brimstone to homes around the world, comes the prequel for the overall story of the main game, Dark Forest. A nice, albeit short, addition to the story of Dante's Inferno. Not to mention a few more puzzles and a"new" demon for Dante to slay to try and save Beatrice before she is killed. Which we all know isn't going to happen. In any instance, let me break this down into the two main parts this DLC adds to the game. Read More…

Revealing The Secrets Of The Secret World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of March 2010 - 03:15 PM ]
In the deep dark back rooms of GDC 2010, Funcom brought forth a new look at their up and coming modern world MMO The Secret World. You needed to know the secret path, the secret hand shake, and secret credentials to get in to see it. Or just be there and made an appointment to go and check out what Funcom had to show. My version would have been much cooler, you have to admit. But for those of you who didn't get to go through my made up scenario? Read More…

by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 23rd of March 2010 - 10:43 PM ]
Well it is all over now folks. Michael will finally have his wish as a new DLC will be coming for Mass Effect 2. In this DLC BioWare will be introducing Kasumi Goto, the galaxy's most enigmatic and cunning master chief, err I mean thief. Not only will players be able to recruit Kasumi in new missions, players will be able to to utilize her special abilities as a member of Commander Shepard's squad. Aaryn Flynn, Studio General Manager of BioWare Edmonton commented, “Mass Effect 2 is BioWare's highest Metacritic game to date, and we are excited to be able to expand that experience by introducing another engaging new character in Kasumi. Kasumi – Stolen Memory is a testament to our promise to continue to provide fans with new, compelling, high quality post-launch content. Read More…

The Week In Nintendo (3/22/10)
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 23rd of March 2010 - 04:45 PM ]
So since last week we had a comment about posting more XBox 360 DLC, I tried to do just that and this is what I found. Nothing. Well besides a over priced DLC for Modern Warfare 2. Anyways. In This Week In Nintendo, they bring to you a freeware that came out in 2004 for the PC call Cave Story. A world where rabbit-like creatures roam the world. Now if you aren't thinking about killer rabbits then I don't know what to say to you. Other than that there are five new titles for the Nintendo DSi for you to enjoy on the go. Read More…

Review: Dragon Age: Origins Awakening
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 22nd of March 2010 - 03:50 PM ]
Disclaimer: Before you continue on to reading this review, I want to say a couple of things. If you have not played Dragon Age: Origins, I highly recommend you do before playing this expansion. While it is playable as a stand alone on consoles, you will be doing yourself a huge disservice by not playing through the original storyline. Second, play through all current DLC on the main game as well before importing your character into Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, as you will not be able to go back and play through that once your character has gone through the Awakening storyline. It has only been four months since Dragon Age: Origins was released by Bioware, and already they have released one DLC (Return to Orzammar) and now we have the first full expansion pack, known as Awakening. Naughty Bear Vs. Predator
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of March 2010 - 09:14 PM ]
No, it is not a new Sega cross over game that they are working on. Although I might have just given them the idea now. I need to copyright these things. Seriously. What it is though, is a new teaser for 505 Games' new title Naughty Bear. A cute, cuddly, Hack-n-Slash mayhem game with what looks like twisted humor on par with Fairytale Fights. I'm sure you've heard of Naughty Bear by now, so I won't go into the details here. What I will do is introduce the video that is an homage to one of the classic shots used a few times. Read More…

Kratos Is The Origami Killer?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of March 2010 - 06:10 PM ]
So God of War III has not even been out for three days and Sony Santa Monica already has yet another viral advertising campaign under way. Or at least it seems that way from the cryptic website that you are sent to when you finally Platinum God Of War III. It is titled nothing more than Spartans Stand Tall. What this could be is still up in the air. The only details being the splash page that shows a flash video loop of rain falling on what looks like Styx, the river not the band. Read More…
