The Walking Dead Escape Is Again Letting Us Play A Survival Game At SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape is coming back to San Diego Comic Con for a third year and is allowing us gamers to try to survive a zombie apocalypse game in real life If there has been one thing that has caught my love over the last few years at San Diego Comic Con it has to be The Walking Dead Escape. If you haven't seen or heard of it or seen it you can see my 2013 run and my 2012 run or you can just look around online as the event is still touring around the country giving all of us gamers a chance to test our mettle in a real live zombie apocalypse of sorts. If you are just one of those lazy people here I'll recap what the event is all about. In a nut shell they people who put on the event take over an arena, mall, or large building structure and do it and its surroundings up as if it was a location from The Walking Dead show or comic. Now We Get To Escape Dead Island While We Wait For Dead Island 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Deep Silver has just announced Escape Dead Island, a third-person survival mystery take on the Dead Island franchise from Fatshark Just in case you couldn't wait for some hardcore zombie killing action in Dead Island 2 or Dying Light (Coming 2015™), Deep Silver and Fatshark are bringing us yet another zombie slaying game of sorts with Escape Dead Island. It's not just zombie killing and surviving, but also a game about solving the mystery of what caused the outbreak and keeping your own sanity in the middle of this world crushing event. Also to deviate from the normal Dead Island type of formula is that Escape Dead Island will be in third-person view and with a graphic novel art style instead of the more realistic we are used to. Telltale games has just announced that The Walking Dead Season 1, Season 2, and The Wolf Among Us will be coming to next gen consoles Mark this down under not-to-shocking-news as it looks like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us from Telltale will be making the jump to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That is both Season One and Season Two of The Walking Dead as well not just the most recent season. This is all in physical form for both the PS4 and XB1 for all three and also the PS3 and 360 for the titles that have yet to have a physical disc for those consoles. Read More...

Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare Coming To PlayStation In August
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
It has been officially announced that PlayStation owners will be getting Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare this coming August Originally there was a rumor being spread that Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare was finally making the jump to the PlayStation platform. EA was tweeting out mock images of PlayStation owned franchises with the PvZ twist to them but then left everything to speculation. The internet being the internet totally began the speculation and made the short leap of logic that this was some form of announcement that Garden Warfare was on its way to the PS4 and PS3. Here are those images just so you can see and make the simple leap of logic that people were at one point claiming some pretty outlandish ideas about Plants Vs. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead: Season 2 — In Harm's Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - In Harm's Way. It's The Third Episode. Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? Here we go with the hump section of The Walking Dead: Season 2. We've hit the midsection of this season for the game and it should be 'all downhill' from here. Pun intended and hopeful. There is a lot riding on the season as well as the franchise here but has it fully delivered? Read More...

The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3 Will Be Out Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3 has a new trailer and is slated to be on all platforms/markets next week. It boggles my mind sometimes on how Telltale likes to keep their new releases so secret until they do what they just did with The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3. Just like all of their other titles they wait until the week before to put out a trailer for the game, claim it is coming soon, and then give a solid date for five to seven days later. I've said it before that we should be used to it but it just sticks in my craw that much that it bugs me enough to complain. For now let us get to the new trailer for The Walking Dead S2E3. Here Is A Whole Lot More H1Z1 Gameplay To Feast Your Eyes On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of May 2014 - 09:02 PM ]
SOE recently hosted a 12-hour H1Z1 livestream event and here are some of the gameplay highlights from what was shown. Some of you may have heard about and watched the H1Z1 livestream that SOE put on last week. Some of you may have missed it. The last subgroup may have caught parts of it but were unable to dedicate the entire twelve hours to watching all of the pre-alpha gameplay and development that is going into H1Z1. Personally I fell into the last group. Fear not though, we have some of the better highlights of the stream for you to catch up and stay on par as the zombie MMO moves toward a golden status. Fear For Clementine With The News Screens For The Walking Dead: Episode 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There are some new teaser images for The Walking Dead episode 3 and it looks like Clem may be in peril. Up until now with The Walking Dead from Telltale we have been on edge for our little protagonist's wellbeing. The entire first season of the episodic game was all about making sure she was safe and sound and now that we have control of her in season two we are in direct control of that. With these latest teaser images for episode three of the second season it looks like Clem may be in a lot more harm's way than before. Ok, well maybe not so much for Clem as the whole of The Walking Dead would crumble if the main protagonist up and died but that doesn't mean she can't be maimed. Read More...

Good news for all of those who don't want to be limited to playing Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare on their Xbox Ones and Xbox 360s. It looks like the PC version of the game is coming to our PCs via Origin on June 27th. We even have a fun little teaser video proving just that a little bit lower on this page as well. Rumor Mill: Resident Evil 7 May Be Announced At E3 2014
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
An article on a prominent Japanese economic newspaper suggests that we should see a Resident Evil 7 announcement at E3. Yet another item I want to mark under extremely hopeful; Resident Evil 7 could be officially announced as soon as this June. You can read that as "At E3 2014" if the current rumors end up being true and not just economical speculation. It would seem that a Japanese newspaper has made just that speculation for us to sit and pine over. This is all based on the mention of a next-gen console and the popularity of the Resident Evil franchise. Read More...

Here Is A Nice Long Look At H1Z1, The Zombie MMO From SOE
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Recently two of the developers for H1Z1 took us through a play through of an early build of the game. Just in case you do not have all the time in the world to dedicate to seeing all of the videos and streams for H1Z1 we have a nice long one for you to see below. Jimmy Whisenhunt (Game Designer) and Tom Schenck (Technical Director) sat down and played a nice 50 minute session of H1Z1 on Twitch recently to show off what the game will have to offer. At least in the form of the "higher action" of the game and not the hours of scavenging that will be needed to survive in the world. As should be warned this is a pretty early build of H1Z1 but there is a good look at the mix of first person and third person action. Read More...

H1Z1 Is Sony Entertainment Online's New 'Zombie MMO'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The President of SOE, John Smedley, has brought the internet H1Z1; a new zombie survival MMO. Welcome to Woodbury H1Z1, the new Zombie themed MMO straight out of Sony Online Entertainment. That is just what we all need in our lives right now huh? The only thing is that H1Z1 sounds like it is building off all of the other 'zombie' games and media out there to try and give us the experience we are all pining for apparently. Let's dig into what we know so far to help better get a grasp on H1Z1. First and foremost H1Z1 is going to be a free to play game based on the engine that powers Planetside 2. Read More...
