The Evil Within Is Making Every Last Bullet Count
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new walk-though video for The Evil Within has been released showing you all of the tips and trick you'll need to use to survive As was to be assumed with The Evil Within only weeks out from launch, it looks like we have a "how to survive guide" to show us all the key features we will need to rely on to make it from start to finish. I'm not too sure on why this seems to be the standard with games and their launches as of late but it just is. The bonus here though is that this video shows off a load of new gameplay for The Evil Within to go along with all the helpful tips. Read More...

Controlling the Crowd & Hiding Won't Help In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off How hiding and crowd control won't help you survive the game Looks like we have a few more ways on how to not play Alien Isolation here for our viewing pleasure to burn out the week we have until launch. This time around Creative Assembly and Sega are pin pointing that there really is nowhere safe on the Nostromos. Not only that but we will have to herd humans and androids alike to make sure that Amanda makes it out of there alive. This of course is not new information for Alien Isolation but it is a new look at the challenges and gameplay we will come to expect. Read More...

Let's Go Inside The Mind And Art Of The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Two new behind the scenes looks at The Evil Within have been released to show off the art and gameplay direction that the game has taken from start to finish Today is wrapping up to be a 'behind the scenes' kind of day now with The Evil Within adding two more videos to show off what has gone into making the game. The larger difference here is that most of it is through interviews with Shinji and the development team instead of just showing off what is going on with the game's engine and design directions. None the less we all get a nice and interesting look at how the team over at Tango Gameworks is going to be trying to drive fear into all of our hearts here on October 14th. Read More...

Time To Get To Know Pagan Min Of Far Cry 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Far Cry 4 has been released by Ubisoft to show of a bit more of the personality of Pagan Min from the game Villains are always the most interesting characters and Pagan Min of Far Cry 4 is quickly shaping up to be that way. Especially since the recent trailer for the game that highlights a bit more of how the character acts and possible motivations has been released. In the past we've had a bit on the character including all the fun controversy that surrounded the original announcement but I think what we have here could just put a pin in making him one of the most interesting in a while. Just about up there with Negan of The Walking Dead comic books if you ask me. Read More...

A new trailer for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been released and it has everything from new story bits to a new 4-player co-op mode for the game Good news for all us out there waiting to hear more on the four-player co-op modes of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Looks like we have a new mode to list from the latest trailer that has been released from Sledgehammer and Activision. The new mode is called Exo Survival and from what it looks like it is another survival mode where you and three others will have to 'survive' waves of enemies while wearing your new exoskeletons. Sounds like quite a bit of fun. Read More...

Review: Forza Horizon 2
by Greg Tatterfield [ Thursday, 25th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
We sit down and play Microsoft's newest entry in their long running racing series Forza Horizon 2. Is it worth talking it out for a cruise? Hated Forza Horizon 2 features a huge open world that's larger than the original. The large expansive open world isn't the problem. The problem lies with the fast travel system. Like the first game fast traveling to the festival is free but fast traveling to any of the hubs across the map will cost you over 9,000 precious credits that are used to upgrade and purchase new cars. This means driving everywhere or burn through your credits by fast traveling. Read More...

Review: Destiny
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Destiny. Does the game live up to the hype or is it an MMO that can be missed? Now that we've had time to sit down and ingest Destiny we should be able to critique the overall game for you; and now we have. Destiny was super hyped up and shown off at every convention since it was first unveiled and promised so much to the fans of the developer (Bungie) and publisher (Activision). Both companies have a wealth of experience under their belts so it should be rather simple to figure out how well their plan for Destiny panned out. If you are one of the few who have not already flocked out to pick up Destiny or purchased it on day one, here is our video review to help with your decision. Read More...

The Art Of Misdirection In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off How To Use Misdirection To Survive It's that time again to continue the Alien Isolation "how not to play this game" series. You know what we are talking about here as we've had a whole slew of videos come out to show us how we can die and what not to do when playing Alien Isolation once it hits out PS4s, PS3s, Xbox Ones, Xbox 360s, and PCs. Some have been the basics that any infant who wants to survive anything knows not to do while others are very specific to the game. So let's sit back and give another look at how to die in Alien Isolation with this latest gameplay trailer. Read More...

Welcome To New Hades In Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new developer look at Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell has been released from Volition and Deep Silver to show off some of the gameplay Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell was announced at PAX last month and with it came a fun new trailer. It explained why we are trying to get Gat out of Hell but it didn't explain how all too well. Outside of just pimp slapping Satan and hopefully walking off into the sunset. A nice idea but I think it is going to take a whole lot more than just that to escape and to make Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell a game that is worth our time and effort. Read More...

New Resident Evil Revelations 2 Gameplay Takes Franchise Back To Horror
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The latest Resident Evil Revelations 2 gameplay footage shows how Capcom has brought the franchise back to survival horror instead of action horror Just like Final Fantasy XV it looks like Resident Evil Revelations 2 is getting the trailer and then the gameplay treatment from the TGS. Here is where the gameplay comes in with what looks like the PS3 driving the game during a nice long demo for the game. At least I am assuming the PS3 as it is using the controls that are not on the Xbox One or Xbox 360 and the visuals don't look crisp enough to be the PS4 running. Then again this could all be the video quality that was spread over the net. Read More...

There Is A Wealth Of New Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Information
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Another gameplay demo for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has revealed a few more gameplay mechanics as well as insight into new characters Fortunately for everyone who wanted to see more gameplay for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain outside of the similar demos from E3 and Gamescom, we are in luck as we have a fresh new look from the TGS. Unfortunately it is all in Japanese so unless you can speak or read the language you are going to have to just go on all of the new and pretty visuals that Kojima showed off for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Don't worry too much as all of it makes perfect sense and you are only really missing out on the dialog for the scenes and slight commentary provided. Read More...

In Alien Isolation Everyone Will Hear You Scream
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off Why You Don't Scream For Help Everyone knows the old adage that "in space no one can hear you scream." Well in Alien Isolation it looks like that is the next way that you can have the titular Alien upon you and ripping you apart. Yes, we have another video showing us how not to play Alien Isolation and this time it looks like taking the quieter option when traversing the ship to safety would be the best choice to survive. Although I don't think I hear any other screaming but the Alien's in the video below as the noise is made by trying to blow the thing up. Read More...

New Locations Shown Off For The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots and concepts for The Evil Within have been released to show off a couple locations we will be surviving through Earlier in the week we had a nice little trailer for The Evil Within that didn't do much to show off anything we haven't seen for the game so far. It wasn't a letdown at all but I know I would have loved to see a few more places, environments, or locations that we are going to be running for our lives around. Even the "new gameplay" from the Tokyo Game Show is just another play though for the same demo levels we have seen since the big E3 showing. We have a month left so it is time we ask for a bit more. Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Has Arrived Safely
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes has launched in EU and there were holographic heroes there to help make sure it went smooth Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes is only a few days out from launch here in the US but it looks like last night the UK had an amazing delivery to prep for the official launch tonight/tomorrow-ish (9/18). That amazing delivery also just happened to be the cast of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes going about town in hologram form to aid the delivery trucks with their precious cargo. Yes, I said holograms of the Marvel characters making sure that those copies and figures for the game made it to their proper locations. Read More...

Survivor Mode Explained For Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The latest 'developer diary' of sorts for Alien Isolation explains what Survivor Mode is for the game In the past weeks we've been treated with fun looks at how NOT to play Alien Isolation trough Sega and Creative Assembly's 'How Will You Survive' campaign. We've seen why going guns-a-blazing is a bad idea, why we shouldn't hide in air vents, and also just running from the problem will not help you survive Alien Isolation. It turns out that these are not just clever little videos to help promote the game but they could also be mixed into the Survivor Mode that has been seen at conventions since E3 this year. Okay, that may all be a bit of a stretch to try and link everything here back into this Alien Isolation topic but hear me out. Read More...
