by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Spider-Man A whole lot more gameplay for Spider-Man is here with some commentary from one of the heads bringing this new Spider-Man title to us all With just under a month to go until Spider-Man hits our PS4 hard, we are all looking for more gameplay and tidbits to get further excited for the game. If you are not, then what are you here? I know I am and I am glad to say that Insomniac Games has a little more to offer us all with some explanations behind some of these mechanics we may not have seen so far. Read More...

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider’s Opening Minutes Have Crashed Down On Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider The first fifteen minutes of Shadow Of The Tomb Raider have been released and it looks like we are off to a familiar start in this part of the Tomb Raider saga If you were looking to spoil the opening fifteen minutes to Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, then you have come to the right place as that is what we have here for you today. For some reason Eidos-Montréal has opted to let IGN ruin the opening to the game in the midst of all of the other things we could have received here. It is either that or Square Enix sees this as a great way to get us all amped for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider to launch in just over a month from now. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/30/18 — 8/3/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of August 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week is now over and we can go back to focusing on playing our video games instead of hunting down for any new tidbit for them. At least on our side of the screen here. Not that it has not been exciting hearing more about The Walking Dead and Darksiders III, but it is finally time to let loose. How else are we supposed to get up to date with our South Park DLC and hammering out more for Shadow Of War? Read More...

A new definitive edition of the game has been announced and coming to our PS4, Xbox One, or PC on August 28th now. Not with any of the usual visual updates that games get in these editions, but a nice little package where all of the DLC and updates for Shadow Of War are in one place for $59. Read More...

The Environmental Puzzles Of Darksiders III Have Been Evolving
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Darksiders Another new look at Darksiders III is here to show us how the puzzles of Darksiders III will feel the same but play out very different It looks as if we all have time for one more video for Darksiders III here and this one takes us into the world of puzzles. Not an actual world in the game, but a look at how the team over at Gunfire Games has been slowly changing and evolving the puzzles in the world for us to try to figure out. Given that the franchise has never been a puzzle only title, it may sound a bit off to here, but in Darksiders III it looks like things have evolved to make more sense in the game world as well as add a new challenge to what we already know. They would need to do this in some way or the franchise would fizzle out before THQ Nordic can get to the fabled fourth chapter of the story… Anyways, we get a new commentary view of some of the old footage we have seen for Darksiders III already. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of July 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We are back on schedule with yet another week of video games to have gone through and completed. It was a rough one last week with so much going on and the few missed marks we had. We are sorry about that, but at least we had another Darksiders III dominated week and more for the Spider-Man PS4 game to look at. Not to mention all of the stuff we had to cover out at SDCC this year that we will bring you next week as well. Read More...

Fury Flames Out In The Latest Footage For Darksiders III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Darksiders A new video for Darksiders III is here to show us how Fury gets her flame from in the usual Darksiders manner We have seen a bit of Fury's Flame Form in the past for Darksiders III, but now it seems like it is time to spoil how she earns it in the game and it plays out much like you think. That is most likely why Gunfire Games was okay with sharing it as it lets us see how much more of a badass Fury will be in the game and also keep us engaged with THQ Nordic until November 27th when it launches. You know, because we would forget about Darksiders III before then and move on to the many other games out there for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

More Characters Will Be Joining The Roster In Spider-Man’s Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Spider-Man Another bit of story is out there for the upcoming Spider-Man game and we have a look at the last of the pre-order Spider-Man suits from SDCC Just as many of us thought, Spider-Man for the PS4 was one of the big games out at SDCC that Marvel was out there showing off. It was not the only one, but that will be our focus on things right now as Insomniac Games’ version of the franchise will be landing here on September 7th and the other games looked at are out already or further out than that. All of that said, it looks like there will be even more characters than we thought in Spider-Man when it launches in all of the heroes, allies, villains, and anti-hero categories. At least if they keep some of how the latest to show up in the story close to here comic book counterpart. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider A new hub location is revealed for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider that will add in many new features and expand on the Tomb Raider feeling of the game It is time to introduce you to one of the main hubs we will be exploring in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider when it launches on September 14th. Welcome to Paititi, a place that will be home to all kinds of trade and exploration when not going through the main story that Eidos-Montréal has for us. Sometimes we need a break from the core parts of our games and this one will be it. That and the way we get to trade for new items, find other hidden tombs, and learn about the cultures in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, but that is all secondary. Read More...

See The Wrath Of Darksiders III In Full-Blown Action
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Darksiders New gameplay for Darksiders III is here to show us another boss fight that we will have to take on when Wrath comes calling in Darksiders III There is still a bit of time before Darksiders III hits us on November 27th which means there is still a lot of time to have a look at more of the bosses that Gunfire Games has put together for us. We have seen Sloth so far in the past from THQ Nordic, and now we have a look at Wrath in the game and we can mark off one more of the sins we will see in action. I do hope that we do not get them all spoiled for us before Darksiders III finally hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but it is new gameplay to look at as well as some of the first of the voice work we will get to hear in the game. Halloween May Be All Filled With Call Of Cthulhu After All
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu The release date for Call Of Cthulhu has been refined down further as it looks like we could be playing Call Of Cthulhu by Halloween this year After kind of "leaking" before, it looks like we may have a solid release date for Call Of Cthulhu now as it has shown up on the Steam page for the game. While not official word from Focus Home Interactive or Cyanide Studios, it does look to be about on par with what we have been told and figured it would be for a while now. It was just Autumn 2018 before. Read More...

Square Enix Is Bringing All Kinds Of Tomb Raider & Kingdom Hearts Fun To SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Square Enix Not to be left out of SDCC, Square Enix is bringing all kinds of games and events to make sure you have been able to experience all Square Enix has to offer Just as the many year's past, Square Enix will be back at SDCC this year and bringing with them all of the games that we have been keeping an eye on and hoping to play sooner rather than later. Sadly, it does not look like they are bringing much in the way of Final Fantasy, but they are truly pushing Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts III just as they did out at E3. Not the biggest of surprises given the proximity to the release dates and SDCC being a huge fan event for Square Enix to get the games in front of more eyes than just through other people's thoughts and opinions. This Week In Video Games 7/9/18 — 7/13/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of July 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the books now. As usual, there was a lot to look at and take in, but a rather slow week in general. Granted, we did have the big news for Darksiders III here with a load of new gameplay and one of the coolest collector's editions I have seen for many video games in a while. We also had a nice look at the upcoming Spyro trilogy that is on its way as well as some updates for Far Cry 5 and the delay of Code Vein again. Maybe we should not have ended on that note.
