New Screen Shots For The Evil Within Shows Us Water Monsters
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of April 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots for The Evil Within have popped up on the internet. This time showing off a new monster type. We may not have more news for The Evil Within but we do have a few new screen shots for the game. I wish I had more given all of the bad "previews" that have been abound the internet from the other sites that require payment to give good news; but I don't. Instead just these four new shots that kind of show off a bit of the atmosphere and enemies in the game. At least both are perceived to be enemies and there is nothing more than the huge fanged monster roaring Sebastian and the other is Boxman. Read More...

Finally A New Gameplay Trailer For The Evil Within Straight From PAX East
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Bethesda has released a new trailer for The Evil Within in the build up to PAX East. Still so many questions unanswered… If there is one thing I love about big gaming and geek conventions like PAX it is that we get awesome new trailers like the one for The Evil Within we just received. Granted, this usually means that we all have to wait an obscene amount of time to finally hear some new little tidbit for a game we are excited for but at least it comes like clockwork. Only about two months from when we got our last up date in the form of a release date for The Evil Within. Again I am deviated from the original point here. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A New Trailer For SOMA Has Hit The Web And It Shows Off The Location That The Game Is Going To Be Placed In; Underwater. Back when I first heard about SOMA I thought it was a game that was another space themed survival horror title. Well it turns out that now it is an underwater survival horror title from the latest trailer and details explained by Frictional Games' creative director Thomas Grip. Have a look at the trailer and new screen shots and I bring the rest of the details to help understand why. There you have it. Read More...

There Is A New Trailer For SOMA And I Am Still Lost…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
A new trailer for SOMA, A PS4 and PC horror title, has been released to the public showcasing a few environments and voice work. Quite a while ago I brought you a look at SOMA in the form of a teaser trailer. It was bizarre, beautiful, and showed the sense of fear that Frictional Games has been known to bring all of us gamers in the past. Now we have a new trailer titled Theta from them to hopefully shed a little more light on what SOMA is all about. At least in terms of more than just another horror title coming out for PS4 and PC in 2015. Read More...

The Whistle Is Being Blow Again For Outlast With Whistleblower DLC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
New story DLC for Outlast coming in April that will expand upon the beginning and ending of the game titled Outlast: Whistleblower. Just in case you haven't crapped or pissed your pants enough playing Outlast, Red Barrels Games has just announced new story DLC, titled Outlast: Whistleblower, to expand the world and the horror. At first thoughts I have a few reservations about having story DLC added on so soon, at least in the PS4 realm, but why don't we take a look at what Red Barrels has stated the Outlast: Whistleblower DLC is all about. I've added it below for your viewing ease as well. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Basement Crawl has a new release date and a few new screen shots to make up for the previously missed date. Last month I reported on the release date for Basement Crawl. Originally it was slated for a release at the end of January. Well January came and went and still we PS4 owners do not see Basement Crawl available for download. I've seen the ads but nothing to purchase. Well there is an answer for that. Read More...

Here Is A Little More For The Evil Within Straight From Japan
by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 6th of February 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We have a new PS4 trailer fresh from Japan and it happens to have a bit more from The Evil Within. Or Psycho Break as it is called over there. Hey horror fans! If you are like me then you have been keeping an eye on The Evil Within or Psycho Break coming from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda. It is also the title being helmed by Shinji Mikami of Resident Evil fame. You should know this by now as it has been covered on the site multiple times already. I guess that makes all of this a bit redundant and useless. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of January 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Very little has been known about Basement Crawl, but now it looks like we finally have a release date and a bit of gameplay to look at. If you have been tracking Basement Crawl up until now, you'd know it to be a creepy looking version of Bomberman. At least of sorts. We've had the announcement trailer and a few screens with descriptions, but no real gameplay to show off. Well wait no longer as we have a nice little bit of gameplay to show off below. Let's watch. Basement Crawl Is Shaping Up To Be The Creepiest 'Bomberman'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of January 2014 - 11:52 PM ]
Basement Crawl, the new title coming to the PS4 is on the edge of release…so let's have some new screenshots. Back during Halloween I brought you a look at Basement Crawl. I also had a bit of fun speculating on what the game was all about outside of being a creepy looking PS4 title. If you're eyes haven't already betrayed me an ventured below to look at the new screenshots, then let me inform you that we have five new shots that help show off how Basement Crawl is like a creepy version of Bomberman in sorts. Not only that, but it kind of looks like my fun speculation is a little on par. At least as it goes with the trying to kill each other in a creepy basement. Read More...

Basement Crawl Is The Latest Horror Game For The PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of October 2013 - 05:22 PM ]
Basement Crawl, A PS4 Launch Window Title, Gets A Teaser Trailer And It Is Damn Creepy I first heard about Basement Crawl earlier this week but that was it, I heard there was new horror title called Basement Crawl and that was it. I kind of let it fade into the background as there were many other things I had to focus on this week. Now I see that was a huge mistake as after seeing the following teaser trailer and character concepts I have high hopes for the PS4 exclusive. Let's face it too; the PS4 needs another exclusive title that looks amazing since Watch Dogs has been delayed. Read More...

Just In Time For Halloween Comes A Couple New The Evil Within Visuals
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of October 2013 - 10:23 PM ]
The Evil Within is being seen as the next big thing in the horror genre for video games. It would make perfect sense that they would have something out in time for the holiday all about horror and fear; Halloween. They already do have the Boxman cosplay contest going on but that really isn't showing us anything for the game or horror related. I guess it's good that we have a few new screen shots and concepts. Oh, we only get three 'new' visuals. Read More...

Let's Look At Frictional Games' New Title, SOMA
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of October 2013 - 05:31 PM ]
If you like to hear about titles well in advance then do I have a title for you; SOMA. SOMA is the latest title to be announced from Frictional Games (Amnesia and Penumbra) and is slated for Windows, Mac, Linux, and PS4. It also happens to have a release window of…2015. If I had to throw a month out there I would probably go with October as this is survival horror title, but there is no real foundation in that. It is just me hypothesizing. So what is SOMA? Review: Knock Knock
by Kenton Winkfield [ Wednesday, 16th of October 2013 - 10:34 PM ]
With Halloween just around the corner, I've wanted to play a creepy game. The problem with this is I can’t seem to find a game creepy enough to send chills down my spine, while not scaring me away from the game every five minutes (it's been a few months since the last time I played Amnesia). Thankfully, the fellows at the Russian development studio, Ice-Pick Lodge, have created a game to fit my personal chill levels without scaring me away. Knock Knock is a 2D side-scrolling survival game set in a single house in the middle of the woods with a single resident. The game was started by Ice-Pick Lodge when they "received an anonymous e-mail which suggested that we should produce some 'unconventional' game based upon the materials attached to the letter. The Evil Within Is Looking For Boxman Cosplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of October 2013 - 05:47 PM ]
Ok, so that headline is only half way true. Tango Gameworks and Bethesda are also looking for some awesome The Evil Within fan art or costumes inspired by everything they have released for the game so far and not just Boxman. You could also go with Nails-In-The-Face or Octo-Hair-Wavy-Girl if you are so inclined. Granted those names are made up by myself and not the "official" names being used by the studio or the publisher but if you look at the trailers and screen shots then mix in their 'clever' name for Boxman it is an easy assumption. Moving on now. Read More...
