It is really shaping up to be very few new IPs announced at E3 as HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age joins the list and this time it is from Crytek. They are both developing and publishing this title as well. The idea behind HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age is that you and your merry band of hunters in the 1800's are out to keep the world free of all of the myths and folklore hiding in the world. You know all the things that 'normies' don't see or want to see. When all is said and one there the group needs to team up to bring down the truly terrifying monsters in control.
Wait a second… doesn't HUNT sound a bit like if The Order: 1886 and Evolve and a baby? Hunters from the 1800's defending humanity from horrible monsters. Then they all have to team using their individual skills to bring down the larger beast. Hmm…
Now I'm not saying that has to be the case but from the description and pre-rendered trailer below, HUNT sure sounds like it. Fortunately though it will be shown off on the floor of E3 so we can see if the text matches up to the actual gameplay. Also fortunately it is running on a very powerful engine from day one so it may even look better than the other two titles mention that HUNT sounds inspired by. That is two things in its favor at the very least.
As promised, here is the announcement trailer for HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age. Keep an eye here as we will update you on how the game actually plays as well as any further information we are able to squeeze out of the developer moving forward.
