by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of August 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Styx See Styx in action again, with the first bit of gameplay for the upcoming Styx: Blades Of Greed out of Gamescom One always has to love when new gameplay sneaks its way out to us, and who better to do that than a master of stealth with Styx: Blades Of Greed. The third main title in the line that Cyanide Studios is working on, and now we have a small taste of what might be changed up when Nacon brings the title to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming Fall. Not a whole lot of time between now and then, and there are still a bunch of questions still out there for this new Styx. So, let us shed some light on just how the game is going to flow, and then maybe see if we can see some of the newer gameplay options or mechanics that we are going to have in the mix. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 8th of March 2025 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The video games just kept on getting pumped out and updated this week as we come to an end of a doozey of a week. One where we had the launch of Split Fiction and announcements for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 and Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss to keep us all going with the cycle. Along with a good teaser for Side Quest and a new event kicking off for Marvel Rivals, there just seemed to be no end to the things we were getting for our video games. I also know we still were not able to get to everything that was out there too, so again, it was a doozey of a week in the industry for us to have here. Read More...

This was a rather upbeat week for it all as well now wasn't it? We had plenty of new stuff out of PAX East to look at like the new stuff for Friday The 13th and the next episode of The Walking Dead. We were also able to see Injustice 2 add Firestorm to the ranks for us. To top it off we also had a wonder review out there for Styx: Shards Of Darkness. Read More...

Review — Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Styx We sit down and review Styx: Shards Of Darkness. The goblin is back and there is even more to steal & kill. Here's our review of Styx: Shards Of Darkness Styx is finally back and doing what he does best in Styx: Shards Of Darkness; stealing and killing. It's been a long wait since he was the Master Of Shadows and brought his fun to the screen but Cyanide Studios didn't want the little guy falling into the darkness of obscurity and brought us yet another experience through the eyes of the thieving goblin. Hopefully learning from any mistakes and adding in just enough new items to make the game feel the same but enough to warrant the extra funds that Focus Home Interactive doled out for the game. None the less, here's our review on Styx: Shards Of Darkness and just how the game did in our eyes. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site One more grueling week of video games in the bag here and it was yet another one filled with all kinds of fun. We had some of the aftermath of GDC to still filter through here as well as the start of PAX East and soon SXSW. Those are just the conventions for all these video games at that as we also saw a whole lot for Injustice 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda flow out here this week. Also we have official word on when Outlast 2 and Styx: Shards Of Darkness will finally be hitting our homes. Read More...

Styx: Shards Of Darkness Now Lets You Kill With A Buddy Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of March 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Styx It looks like Styx will be getting another buddy in Styx: Shards Of Darkness and this time it is one of your real-world friends The wait for Styx: Shards Of Darkness is finally over as the game finally comes to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 14th. That's not exactly why we are here though as not only is Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive bringing the game to us but they are also bringing in the ability to play the game with a friend. Not the friend that we've seen already for Styx in terms of his clone but we are getting Co-Op game play in Shards Of Darkness. As if setting up all of our kills solo wasn't going to be fun enough but now we can do it with any of our friends who also enjoy slaying with this little goblin. Read More...

See How A Goblin Is Made Here For Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Styx A new developer diary for Styx: Shards Of Darkness shows off a bit more of the game as well as how Styx has been evolved since the last game and beyond If Styx: Shards Of Darkness will be your first foray with this little goblin then A, you are missing out, and B, you need a crash course in who this little goblin is and how he has been crafted for the game and how he has evolved since. It would be odd if Cyanide Studios left him in the past and didn't use all of the new hardware and game to further show off this amazing character and while they are odd, they are not that odd. This is why we have a new developer diary of sorts to show off Styx in his new light as well as to get to know his personality a bit more and just to enjoy another great IP that is coming out of Focus Home Interactive. Styx: Shards Of Darkness Is Almost Here To Teach The Art Of Stealth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Styx A new cinematic trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has released and it shows off a bit of Styx's stealth tactics and mayhem he can create in the process We are all still waiting for a solid release date for Styx: Shards Of Darkness as March is still the only part of the date still set out there but that doesn't mean that the videos and fun have to stop. Of course not and that is just what Cyanide Studios has brought us here yet again for the game with a new trailer aimed to highlight the thing we know Styx is good at; Stealth. I mean, his last title was named Master Of Shadows and with a name like that, not to mention how the game actually played, stealth was his strong suit and I know I was able to put it to some amazing use from start until the end. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of December 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Styx Another gameplay trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been released and this one shows off a few more of the tricks Styx has picked up since the last game I know I can never seem to get enough Styx: Shards Of Darkness and it looks like we have even more to sate some of our needs until March of next year when we can play the full game. I just love this little guy that Cyanide Studios has created for us and he only seems to get better with each new video and showcasing we get to see. Especially when we get to see a lot of the new tricks of the trade that Styx is bringing with the next title. Read More...

Styx New screenshots for Styx: Shards Of Darkness have released and it looks like Styx may be taking to the skies of Korrangar in the upcoming sequel We all know that Styx: Shards Of Darkness will have us venturing into some dark caves and dungeons to murder our way to some sweet, sweet Amber out there. Now it looks like more of the world is opening up to us as we will be taking to the skies in Cyanide Studios' sequel to the small hit.
