by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of July 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is a wrap on another fun week with all kinds of video games out there. Some had some big news and others just slight updates for us all once more. It was also nice to see smaller titles like Faraday Protocol and Fracked get some fun additions in there and were able to hang with other video games like Dead Space and Deathloop that had some solid highlights. Yes, I did say Dead Space if you missed that before. We are getting a remake and was definitely one of the bigger tidbits of the week here. Read More...

Space Is Getting Even Darker With The Announcement For CryoSpace
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of November 2020 - 06:00 PM ]
CryoSpace The announcement for CryoSpace is out there to bring us a new and dark game to experience as we try to survive what CryoSpace will throw at us Space is already a dark place and now we can see how things can go darker with the announcement for CryoSpace. This is a new title coming to us from Kuklam Studios and Games Operators for the PC in 2022 that will take us down that path. All in the way of a new survival style game where we are on a spaceship sent out to colonize a different planet. Unfortunately, and the reason CryoSpace is more of a game than a story, things have gone wrong and you and a few others are brought out of cryosleep to find something has gone horribly wrong. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of May 2020 - 05:00 PM ]
Hardspace One more gameplay breakdown is here for Hardspace: Shipbreaker to take us a bit deeper into the details of what Hardspace is all about It might have felt like we have seen this before, but here we go with more on the gameplay of Hardspace: Shipbreaker just before it hits the Early Access phase over on the PC on June 16th. If you have not been keeping up on this title, this is the space wrecking game that has been announced for a while now from Blackbird Interactive. We will need to destroy spaceships out there, as a shipbreaker normally does, and try to pay off our debt we start with in Hardspace from the jump. Read More...

Hardspace: Shipbreaker Is Officially Heading To The Consoles Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of March 2020 - 06:00 PM ]
Hardspace No more an assumption, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, will be heading to the current-gen consoles for more to experience the fun of space with Hardspace The speculation can be brought to an end if the PS4 and Xbox One will be getting Hardspace: Shipbreaker on the platforms. It was more or less assumed before and there were a few allusions to it from Blackbird Interactive before, but now we have official word that it will be hitting the systems at some point as well. It could be the same day or it could be down the line as the PC version is still slated to get an Early Access this Summer. That is far from being the final version of Hardspace: Shipbreaker, though, and the consoles do not have the best options to do the same thing. Read More...

Hardspace: Shipbreaker Gameplay Shows Off Some Explosive Fun
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of February 2020 - 10:00 PM ]
Hardspace The first real gameplay walkthrough for Hardspace: Shipbreaker is here to show how we will need to use all of our tools to survive in Hardspace Given that Hardspace: Shipbreaker is slated to be shown off at PAX East this week, it was only a matter of time before we had some real gameplay to look at for the game. Not that the last trailer did not have much to offer up, but the one we have now has Trey Smith from Blackbird Interactive taking us on a nice little "walkthrough" of the gameplay experience. I say that, as it does look like we will be more floating around in Hardspace instead of walking. Read More...

Hardspace: Shipbreaker Will Take Us Into The Fun World Of Ship Salvage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of February 2020 - 06:00 PM ]
Hardspace The early access is coming for Hardspace: Shipbreaker with us heading into Hardspace to take down a few space ships and not get too far into debt There truly are video games out there for almost everything and we will soon get to see how ship salvaging will go down with Hardspace: Shipbreaker. That would be space ships for those who are not certain on that, as Blackbird Interactive has their next little title heading toward an Early Access on the PC via Steam. At least, that is, this coming summer so there will be a little bit of a wait for it all. Read More...

Get Ready To Interact With Afterlife This May
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Afterlife The interactive VR film Afterlife is heading out there in May and we have another new sample of what will be happening in Afterlife’s story A little while back we heard of a new interactive VR film called Afterlife and it piqued our interests even though it did not sound like a game at first. It, more or less, sounded like another film being placed out there in the VR realm from Signal Space Lab and that we would sit as a passive observer to a very grim and dark story. Something that is definitely right in the middle of my tastes even if it did not sound like a true game. Read More...

Virtually Choose Your Own Way Through Afterlife
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Afterlife The first dev diary for Afterlife is here to show us how the team has started to bring this VR choose-your-own-adventure about the Afterlife to life Here we go with a new little twist on the VR and live-action as Afterlife is bringing both of those together to give us an interesting experience with a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure twist. That is at least as it basically sounds with a darker and grimmer style of story tacked on here. I mean, Signal Space Lab is taking us through an "intimate journey through tragedy, grief, and acceptance" in the experience here so… In any instance, we have a new behind the scenes look at how Afterlife is being put together to show that a great VR game can be done with live-action sequences and not all virtually generated stuff. Space Hulk: Tactics Is Announced & Bringing A New Twist To Space Hulk
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of February 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Space Hulk A new twist on the Space Hulk franchise has been announced and coming sometime in the near future in terms of Space Hulk: Tactics Another title in the Warhammer 40k franchise is coming here as we have Space Hulk: Tactics announced for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It looks like the people over at Cyanide Studio is riding the success from their past titles even further as Focus Home Interactive has optioned them to bring this game to us all based off the tabletop game of the similar name. Drop the tactics part off of Space Hulk: Tactics and you will be on point there for what I am talking about. But more or less, it will be the same turn-based title that you could expect but with some twists to make it not a simple port over to the video game world from the physical one. Read More...
