Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Shows How Nature Is Cruel
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of July 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new video series for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has kicked off to take us further behind the anthropology we will get to know in Ancestors I hope by now that we all know the basics of what is going on Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey and just how things will evolve as we play. Not just in terms of gameplay, but also the way that Panache Digital Games is going about sharing the experience with us and trying to stick close to the real situations that brought humanity to the place it is today. It looks like Ancestors is going to be much more than a game for us when it launches this year on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Now we get a little bit more of a treat to see just how that will all be. Lovecraft Meets Cyberpunk With The Tease Of Transient
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 31st of May 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Transient A new thriller title, Transient, is teased out there where Transient will mix together themes from the Cyberpunk and Lovecraft genres Add one more tease for us all as Transient is the latest game to do just that with very little to work with. Given that Iceberg Interactive has placed it out there and will be launching in 2020 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, I guess it makes some kind of sense to just tease us. Although, when you drop things like Transient will be a mixture of the Cyberpunk and Lovecraft genres from Stormling Studios, it feels like we deserve more for it all. That could just be me and wanting more than the short little video we have announcing all of this. Read More...

We have had some new stuff thrown out there before E3 and a lot of basic updates just to keep us all chomping at the bit for more. We did have the next clan for Bloodlines 2 drop out there and some more for The Sinking City, so that was nice. Not to mention more for Control and a new Doctor Who VR title announced out there for us all. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of May 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has indeed been a week of video games here and it has come to a wrap for us again. A well-deserved break for us all to put the brakes on the coverage of things and go back to playing. That or waiting until we get to actually see Bloodlines 2 in action or how that new title in The Walking Dead universe will actually handle. We might even dive back into A Plague Tale to go through all of the things we may have missed in our first play of the game. Read More...

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Brings More Sights To Be Seen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of May 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Ancestors New gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here and shows off a bit more on how we will identify things in Ancestors with our babies Here we go with a bit more gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey today and it is just a nice little bit. I will take everything that we can out of Panache Digital Games here as it has been an interesting concept from day one for me. Especially given the pedigree of the developers in charge of it all. That and the interesting use of the game's world to force exploration in Ancestors. Read More...

Oddworld The first gameplay for Oddworld: Soulstorm is here and we finally get to see how the story of Oddworld will continue in a 2.9D environment Since Oddworld: Soulstorm was first revealed to the world many of us have been wondering just what will be going on in terms of gameplay. Will it keep the same look and feel of the older titles or will it go into a new direction and embrace a fully 3D world? I am glad to say that we have word on that from Oddworld Inhabitants today and it looks like fans of the franchise will be happy to see that it is now a 2.9D experience. Read More...

Have A New Lesson On The Gameplay Of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new developer series for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has started with the first going into the exploration of Ancestors’ map A new taste for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here in the way of a developer diary of sorts to take us on a bit more of the exploration in the game. Specifically that feature in the game as Panache Digital Games has opted to leave out the maps for us and require us to do it all on our own. Not the worst of ideas, but it will be a shift from what we know in open world games like Ancestors. Read More...

Glimpse Some New Cinematics For Oddworld: Soulstorm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of March 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Oddworld A new cinematic rendering breakdown for Oddworld: Soulstorm is here to show off how things will be made in this Oddworld title Here we go with another title getting shown off a bit more during GDC's Keynotes this year with Oddworld: Soulstorm getting a bit of the limelight. This time we are not seeing much in the way of gameplay for the game, but we are getting a good look at one of the cinematic sequences that Oddworld Inhabitants has put together. If this will show up in the final version of Soulstorm is still up in the air, but it does show off the way things will be presented when it comes to the scenes. Given how the other titles went in the past, I would not be surprised if this was all from the game and not fully pre-rendered though. Read More...

The Forgotten City Is Heading To The Xbox One Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 12th of March 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
The Forgotten City The Forgotten City is no longer a PC only title, as it looks like Xbox fans will also be able to enjoy The Forgotten City this year If you felt like you were being left out of The Forgotten City's release, as it was only shown for PC back at E3, then you will be glad to know it is branching out to the Xbox One at the same time. That time is still late in this year, but Modern Storyteller is poised to bring the game to the platform as well now. Not the largest of surprises given that The Forgotten City is based on a mod for a massively popular title on the systems and many would like to have options when playing these things. Read More...

Dystopia Rising Surviving the zombie apocalypse of Dystopia Rising is rough but fun for all no matter how much you know of the game and setting It has been several generations since the world has come to a cataclysmic ending. Humanity has risen, fallen, and slowly endured in the remaining rumble left behind. Strange mutations have developed in the radiation, creating new generations of humanity. Close To The Sun Has A New Publisher & Some New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Close To The Sun A new publisher is here for Close To The Sun as we head into 2019 and also get some new gameplay for Close To The Sun too boot We have not had too many updates for Close To The Sun here on the site, but it is high time that we did. Especially since we are all clamoring for some gameplay and to find out just when the game is going to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Something that should be a little sooner and easier to do as Storm In A Teacup is now all partnered up with Wired Productions to do just that for Close To The Sun. A happy day indeed for those looking to see if the Unreal Grant was going to be enough or if they were going to be able to focus on making the game we have been looking for since its announcement. Go Back In Time With New Gameplay For Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Ancestors A plethora of new gameplay is here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey so you can see just how the game has evolved to the Ancestors we have now Finally we have some of the first real gameplay to look at here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey all fresh from The Game Awards. Sure, we have had some nice little teases from Panache Digital Games in the past with some screenshots, but that is not true gameplay. Given that this is a huge deviation of gameplay style for the creative director of some Assassin’s Creed, there is a lot riding on Ancestors before it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In terms of reputation more than anything as this is a deviation from what we know. Read More...
