Underworld Dreams
A new horror title, Underworld Dreams, is announced and it looks like Underworld Dreams looks to offer up more in the Lovecraft mythos
It sure does seem like there is a popularity recently when it comes to the Lovecraft mythologies and here we go with another video game announced in that vein with Underworld Dreams. This would be a new indie title from Drop Of Pixel that is in the works and has Skystone Games at the helm to publish it all for the PC and consoles next year. Something that you can gather from the recently released gameplay video we have here for Underworld Dreams that shows off the game's current state as the team keeps the development flowing. That means to take what you see here with the idea that the game is not near completion and does not show off the final form the game might be taking.
That all said, Underworld Dreams is a first-person horror experience that will not be an average walking simulator as these games normally go. It will be more along the lines of survival horror as we will be able to fight back against the monsters we encounter but need to keep a close eye on that ammo and various other weapons in the game's world. Mix in some of the facts that our choices and actions will have an impact on how it all ends, I would say that Underworld Dreams sounds like it will be vastly different than our normal walking simulators out there over the years. You can see the teaser video for it all just below and then sit and wait to see how it will all evolve into the final form we might want it to be.

Do you think the Lovecraft mythology is overplayed at this point or could Underworld Dreams offer the fresh take some of us have been waiting for here? Do you like that the gameplay will be a mix of things and not a constant jump scare ordeal or is that what you like in your horror experiences? How much different do you think the final version of it will be and will it hit all of the systems out at the time? Let us have those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If we have more to share for Underworld Dreams, we will have it on the site for you. Be sure to keep checking back for that and much more.
