Start Terrorizing The Streets
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of March 2009 - 03:38 PM ]
Many Views Of inFAMOUS While not as preachy as the top ten that was passed around online yesterday, there are a load of new views and videos that just popped up for the PS3's inFAMOUS. Of course all just to get you looking closer to the game as it is releasing in the next few months. Which means that in the near future we can most likely see a nice PR battle between the inFAMOUS and [Prototype] camps to try and get your money over the other. But I digress yet again. Below there are a plethora of images and video showing quite a bit of what we can all expect to see and experience in the game. Read More...

Go Utah??
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 26th of March 2009 - 11:34 AM ]
Well it seems Utah is not as conservative after all. Utah Governor Jon Huntsman (r) has vetoes video games and movie retail restriction bill. To those who don’t know about it, it’s the bill (that was originally written by Jack Thompson and legislator Mike Morle) that would enforce strict penalties on retailers who sells M-Rated games and Rated R movies to “buyers subject to an age restriction or recommendation.”   Utah Governor Jon Huntsman (r) wrote a letter to House Speaker David Clark and Utah Senate President Michael Waddoups about why he vetoed the video game bill: (from Sainless: http://saintless.com/2009/03/25/gov-vetoed-hb-353/)“Dear Speaker Clark and President Waddoups: After careful consideration and study, I have decided to veto HB 353, TRUTH IN ADVERTISING ACT AMENDMENTS, and have transmitted it to the Lieutenant Governor for filing. UMD Free PSP2?
by Kevin [ Thursday, 26th of February 2009 - 02:09 PM ]
Acclaim developer David Perry has recently gained some attention for some comments he made concerning the next version the PSP. Kotaku reported that after speaking with Perry that a UMD free PSP is both real and forthcoming. "I spoke to a developer who is working on it right now," he said to the news outlet. "I know this developer is already working on it, so that means they have a prototype. That would sound like a fall release to me. Read More...

Dooming Missions
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2009 - 08:25 PM ]
First DCU Mission Explained We all know that MMOs need to have good missions to keep players coming back and interested in the game. Without them, what is the point of even playing. Outside Socializing and building characters and grinding out levels and being part of the in crowd. Well there really isn't a reason outside of those and the designers really understand this well over there at Sony Online Entertainment and DC. They realize it very well as the below video displays. This video shows how each side of the game, Hero or Villain, will take on one of the more iconic storylines of the DC world. Read More...

Be The Center Of Attention Like Laugh Riot
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of February 2009 - 09:25 PM ]
DC Universe Character Trailer So far most of the buzz on Sony's DC Universe has been the named characters from DC comics that a player will be able to interact with or run along side. Outside of that and a few scene drops, nothing substantial has been seen since Comic Con 2008 where there was a playable demo there. Well a bit of wait is now over. Today the good people over at Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) have decided to grace the interwebs with a bit more on the types of characters you can play in the game. Read More...

inFAMOUS Humble Pie
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of February 2009 - 06:43 AM ]
inFAMOUS: I AM Scared Trailer Some of you might remember a few weeks ago when I posted up some of the new screen shots and video for Sony's upcoming game inFAMOUS. It was filled with what was listed as the powers for the game. You may also remember that I railed on how disappointing they looked to be when compared to what was described in this game as well as other titles that are along similar lines. Well I might have been a little quick to jump the gun on this one. At least from looking at some of the new footage that was just released. Read More...

Screens Of Godliness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of February 2009 - 06:19 PM ]
More Screen Shots From God of War III With the big media event that happened recently for God of War III and the new extended trailer being launched, it would seem that Sony is ready to start the huge marketing scheme for this game. Which I will not complain about at all. Except that we will all have to wait until after this year's E3 show to get a up close and personal look at this game. They are going to be showing it off in all of it's glory there. But until then, we can all ogle Kratos and the game with the little things like the below screen shots. Read More...

Get Yo' Killzone 2 On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2009 - 05:00 PM ]
This Week in Killzone 2 (and more demo codes) There have been many ways for people to gain access to the Killzone 2 demo before the game actually comes out in about 10 days, from now. Most recently one could have hunted down one of the only Helghast avatars in PlayStation Home and request one from them. Apparently something that was difficult for a bunch of people on the PlayStation Blog. But outside of that or pre-ordering the game, like one should, Sony is hooking everyone up again with a chance. by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 14th of February 2009 - 10:47 PM ]
Capcom has announced that Fate/Unlimited Codes is headed for the PSP in June of this year.  Capcom originally created this 3D Fighting game, based on the Fate/Stay Night aeries, for arcades in Japan last year. After gaining much success, Capcom ported the game over to the Playstation 2. With their latest port coming to the Sony PSP, they will be adding on some very nice additions. Death Is In My Blood
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of February 2009 - 06:35 PM ]
New God Of War III Footage We have been tantalized and teased with small clips from God of War III in the past few months. To no end. Leaving fans drooling like hungry Cerberus for more. Well today, Sony has released some more game footage as well as information about the game. Still no release date given, but with what has been given, one can't be anything but excited. These two new videos aide quite well with this. The first is the extended, like 3 minutes extended trailer for the game. Read More...

Have Your Films And Play Them Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of February 2009 - 05:14 PM ]
Blu-ray/videogame discs to be released for PS3 How many times have you seen a game come out that is either based on a movie or vice versa? Quite often. Companies like to milk things for all they are worth. No big news there. But what if you could by the Blu-Ray of the film with the game loaded on the same disk or within the same packaging? Would you pick that up instead? Well it looks like in the not to distant future, later this year, that may actually be a possibility for people who would love to have their films and play them too. Mario & Sonic Going Olympic Again
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 12th of February 2009 - 03:47 PM ]
In an age of sequels and cashing in, it is no surprise that Mario&Sonic will be returning to the Nintendo Wii and DS later this year.  Already leaked two days ago, today Sega and Nintendo jointly announced the great duo's return to Olympic competition.  I am sure that also returning with this installment will be a lot of waggle and sore arms.  The press release mentions use of the balance board which will be an improvement for certain, but here's hoping they also implement Wii Motion Plus for more accurate gameplay.  No screens or gameplay as of yet, but you can view the trailer now on their launch site. Beating People For Lincoln
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of February 2009 - 05:56 PM ]
Join us at the Street Fighter IV Launch! So, what better way to celebrate the birthday of the man that helped to end slavery than to go beat people down via Street Fighter IV? I mean really? Capcom is thinking the exact same thing, and they want you, or at least 302 of you to join in the fun. Well as long as you live in the Southern California area or can get there tomorrow night. The Geffen Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown LA to be exact. But there is something you need to do first. Read More...

Hades Fight!!!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of February 2009 - 04:46 PM ]
First Real God Of War III Details A little while back a cover shot of the new Game Informer magazine was 'leaked' onto the net. Well not really leaked, but more given to tease the big article in the magazine, God of War III. One of the more anticipated games in my opinion. No it is not a humble one. So you can guess it has been much waited for, the new Game Informer. Well someone has received their copy early and decided to post scans of it on line. Read More...

Hudson Releases Official Website for Onslaught
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 11th of February 2009 - 10:24 AM ]
Last week Hudson Entertainment released screen shots on Onslaught, hailed the first First Person Shooter on WiiWare. Now, they have finally pulled back the curtains on the official Onslaught online page. The new, flashier vehicle now provides more insight into the story, wiimote and nunchuk button layouts for both foot and vehicle movement, small weapons and vehicle layouts and some finer details on on-line play. Yes, folks I had to re-read the website myself, Hudson is promising on-line co-op and ranking system for up to 4 players. The “Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Free Battle” seems promising as you can play with friends from around the globe. Read More...
