Rock Band Hits 4000 Songs!

If you're a fan of Rock Band, like me, then you should know that there is a crap load of songs for DLC. So many in fact that over the past week they broke the 4,000th song mark for their franchise. I don't know about you guys, but over 4,000 songs to choose from? That is an amazing feat. I've been playing Rock Band since the very first one, and had a ball playing through the second and third installments of the franchise. Grand Theft Auto V New Screenshots

Rockstar has reveled some new screenshots for their next big crime epic Grand Theft Auto V. Very little is known about the game relating to story details and characters. What we do know though is the game takes place in Los Santos which is a fictional version of Los Angeles. If you all remember this was one city that was featured in 2004's San Andreas. Los Santos was also accompanied by fictional versions of San Francisco and Las Vegas though it is unknown at this point if they will be returning in Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar has been keeping Grand Theft Auto V information scarce since the games announcement and has not even given a release date. Read More...

Rock Band Blitz Set List Announced

Harmonix has announced the full set list for the upcoming Rock Band Blitz. Rock Band Blitz is the first game to ditch the plastic instruments of past games in the series. If you don’t know what to expect from Rock Band Blitz it’s a beat matching game much like Amplitude or Audio Surf. Below is the full set list of 25 songs that will come with the game. Nightwish Is Finally Coming To Rockband

Today Harmonix gave us an update on next week's DLC. We have two new tracks from Foreigner, "I want to know what love is" and "Waiting for a girl like you", which is cool, everyone loves Foreigner. But what really stuck out was the third song, a song by the symphonic power metal band: Nightwish. With their song "Amaranth" off of their 2007 album "Dark Passion Play" This is the first Nightwish song to become available on any Rock Band or even Rock Band Network. Definitely an interesting track they picked, there are a lot of different styles of songs for Nightwish, mainly because they go through lead singers like water. This song featured the lovely Anette Olzon who replaced the original lead singer: Tarja Turunen. Read More...

My Rock Band Recommendations

If you guys don't already know I am an avid Rock Band player. I started playing rhythm games when the first Guitar Hero came out, and I've been playing ever since. Over the years I have sunk a lot of money into the DLC, at the moment I have two-hundred and thirteen downloaded songs and I wish to share my favorites with you guys. Hopefully I can persuade you into buying a song or two. Since I only play guitar on Rock Band, I can only vouch for guitar (sorry drummers, vocalists, bassists and keyboardist) I'll categorize my favorite by difficulty for guitar. Read More...

Learning To Fly Max Payne Style

I swear if we were suppose to figure out what a game is all about from just the screen shots and video shared from companies we would all be way off most of the time. A good example would be the below screen shots from Max Payne 3. It looks like a good mixture of campaign as well as multiplayer mixed in here. 2112 Finally Coming To Rock Band

That's right ladies and gentlemen - Rush's twenty minute long epic "2112" is finally coming to Rock Band. The masterpiece will be available for download on December 31st. PS3 and XBox 360 users will have the option to either purchase and play each song separately or get the whole twenty minute "eargasm" as one song. Trailer Park 11/22/11

Since last week's installment of Trailer Park was non-existent, I believe you guys are overdue for a new set of trailers. First up we have a new trailer for EA's SSX coming out on February 14th, 2012. The trailer shows off a lot of game play footage that looks just as insane and hilarious as previous installments, Doing the "Worm" on a snowboard and twirling around like a helicopter are just a couple of the nut job tricks showcased in the trailer. Grand Theft Auto V Now Has It's Trailer...Straight Outta Vinewood

The wait is now over GTA fans. The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V can be seen below in all of its glory. At least in the glory of having a trailer that really doesn't tell us much. Outside of heavy hints at a Los Angeles-type setting and a time period of being current. But hey, it is better than just having a tweet that said the game was coming. We all get to see that the game is in full production and not just some pre-production limbo for now. I, for one, was wishing that Rockstar would have deviated from the normal GTA staples and gone outside of the box - at least in the realm of game world. Read More...

Batman Getting The Cold Shoulder In Arkham City

Here we go with yet another villain shown for Batman: Arkham City - Mr. Freeze. If you look below, you'll see the nice, shiny new trailer for this latest reveal. At first glance, it really just seems like another step to stop Bats from getting things under control. That is, until he begins to meander around like a smaller, frozen Big Daddy. It does look like Freeze will be adding a few new environmental challenges for Batman from the video. Most notably would have to be the freezing of ledges. Read More...

Batman Really Taking On Jigsaw In Arkham City Now

I do love the new direction that RockSteady has taken The Riddler, my second favorite villain, but I can't seem to look past the close similarities in the characters. They are both geniuses. They both like putting people in death traps. They both have a specific tone and method to their speaking. I guess the only real difference is that the new Riddler does it to prove to the world that he really is the smartest person alive. Anyways, if you haven't picked up on it yet, or skipped to the video, there is a new clip showcasing some of the personality behind The Riddle of Batman: Arkham City. Batman: Arkham City Just Got Sexier

So it looks like the rumor about NOT being able to play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City is now busted. Submitted for your consumption, I give you a look at a bit of the game play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City. Straight from the horse's mouth, A.K.A. Rocksteady, to our eyes. Yes, I know that doesn't make visual sense, but just go with it. It doesn't show any form of Co-Op which leads me to believe that she is either going to have a small portion of the game set up like The Joker did in Arkham Asylum. It may be some extra missions, after game missions added to the game, or it could be similar but added into the main story arc of the game. Read More...

Bringing The Pain Like Max Payne 3

So I'm confused now. Where are all the "demons" or drug induced hallucinations? For that matter Mark Wahlberg? That was what the franchise was all about wasn't it? The film wouldn't deviate that much would it? I defined the whole Max Payne franchise based on that film as I have never played any of the games before. That is a good reference isn't it?
