by Jana Lass [ Monday, 3rd of August 2026 - 09:00 PM ]

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We were finally able to get back into form around here and cover so many video games, and so many non-game-specific things around here. We are fresh off the SDCC train, and there was so much going on out there that we had to dip into. Things like Stage Tour and Marvel’s Wolverine for starters. Then some of the non-video games things like our interview for Dungeon Crawler Carl and a look at everything going down for the upcoming Resident Evil movie. Read More...

BeastLink The Early Access for BeastLink is ready for us all to link into, with BeastLink hooking us up to new kaiju We've seen the announcement, there's been a small playtest, and now it looks as if BeastLink is ready to kick off an Early Access on the PC. The game is still coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so don't think that Grove Street Games is holding back. It's just not as easy to get all of this set up for the consoles. Especially when you see that BeastLink will be launching in Early Access on August 18th for the PC. Read More...

SDCC Interview — Matt Dinniman & Jeff Hays For Dungeon Crawler Carl
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of July 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
Dungeon Crawler Carl We had a chance to sit down with the talent behind Dungeon Crawler Carl during SDCC and got some insight into Dungeon Crawler Carl and the audiobooks If one new IP was able to take over SDCC this year, it was certainly Dungeon Crawler Carl. A relatively new book series that I am sure you have heard a few things about, or seen a few of the memes on the internet. As long as you are into the video game space, or the gaming space in general. If not, then get ready to learn a bit more about the IP, as Audible had us out to interview the writer of Dungeon Crawler Carl (Matt Dinniman), along with the main voice talent (Jeff Hays) for the audiobook version of the series. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Will Have Us All Trying To Find The Light
by Jana Lass [ Monday, 27th of July 2026 - 09:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale Light will play a bit more into Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, keeping some of the recent gameplay of A Plague Tale going There is no denying that the IP that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is part of had a massive use of light in the gameplay mechanics. We had to hide from all manner of rats using that, or use the light to help direct them about. That's for sure. Now we have a look over at the latest run of gameplay that Asobo Studio is cooking up for this one, and it is coming back in a new way. Read More...

Escape A Bit Of His Past In The Upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of July 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolverine Go further into the story for Marvel’s Wolverine, with a look at the game and the SDCC panel for Marvel’s Wolverine Many know the story so far for the character, but it looks as if things are going to be shaken up a little bit in Marvel’s Wolverine when it comes to the story. Not just how it will link into the universe that Insomniac Games has been building for a while, but what will be different for this version of the character. That seems to be just what the panel at SDCC covered this year, along with giving us a few more characters that Wolverine will be dealing with along the way. Some that we have seen before, and now a few more to look forward to when the game lands on the PS5 this coming September 15th. Read More...

Resident Evil Slid Into SDCC With A New Trailer & Fan Event
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of July 2026 - 05:00 PM ]
Resident Evil A new look at Resident Evil happened at SDCC this year, along with a fun Resident Evil fan scavenger hunt in Raccoon City We knew that there would be a panel out there for the upcoming Resident Evil movie during SDCC 2026, and the team did not let us all down. With the film hitting theaters on September 18th, and the ride that Zach Cregger has been on with films, this one needed to show the fans just what they were going to be getting into. Gods, does it all deliver and look to be one of the scariest Resident Evil films to date. Not just with the latest trailer for the film, but also some of the behind-the-scenes conversations we had with the director during the panel, and then the fun little off-site event that had fans running around a small section of Raccoon City trying to find all of the resources to survive. Call Of Duty Things are pushing forward for the Call Of Duty movie, and we now have a release date for Call Of Duty fans to mark down Some big news for those looking to see the Call Of Duty movie sometime in the near future, as we have a set release date for the film. Something that I am sure that Peter Berg, the film's director, is going to do everything possible to make sure we get to see. As long as you are looking for more of the story set in the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare universe. We know how you all handle the campaign modes, so that could be a weird, iffy thing. Read More...

Marvel’s Wolverine Shows New Villains & Why We Ain’t No Hero
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of July 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolverine A new cinematic look at Marvel’s Wolverine shows off some of the story and two more of Wolverine’s antagonists Just ahead of the bigger showcase going down at SDCC 2026, we have a new look at Marvel’s Wolverine. Well, more of a cinematic look and reveal of some new antagonists in the game, along with a bit of the story that Insomniac Games is cooking up for us. As long as we are all still onboard with snagging Marvel’s Wolverine on September 15th on the PS5 after everything that has gone down with the publisher. It is not great, but we do not need to punish the developer for what their parent company is doing… as of yet… With that all said, let us all have a look at the new video that we have for the game to see a bit of the cinematic nature this one is going to go with. Go On A Road Trip To Hell & The Galaxy In Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls
by Juliet Meyer [ Monday, 20th of July 2026 - 05:00 PM ]
Fighting Souls Two more of the Fighting Souls are ready for us to dive into, with Star-Lord and Ghost Rider flowing into Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Just as a great way to lead into SDCC 2026, we have two more fighters for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on the way for us to look at. Something to get us all into the comic mindset, while also getting us ready for the gameplay that Arc System Works will have out there. Not to mention, these will be two of the playable fighters when Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls hits the PS5 and PC on August 6th out there, so it's also fun for us to get up to speed for them all. This round, we have Ghost Rider and Star-Lord on the showcase, so get ready for something silly along with something serious to come up from it all. Read More...
