Painkiller Is Coming Back To Take Us Further Into Some Purgatory

Painkiller

A new take on Painkiller is on the way to us with the announcement we have for Painkiller for the modern age

Talk about a blast from the past, pun intended, with Painkiller coming back at us after more than two decades of nothing for the IP. Not in the way of a remaster on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC but in the way of a new take on the IP for the modern age. All as Anshar Studios and 3D Realms aims to give us more of the gun fights that will get us further into Purgatory and maybe into Heaven by the end of it all. At least that part of Painkiller is being brought over to the new generation of gamers out there looking to experience it all. As long as this one makes its Fall 2025 release window that it currently has in place for the world. Let us dig in and see just what is on the way to us all if we truly want to experience it.

If you have no clue what Painkiller is, it is an action-shooter title where we have been deemed not too good for Heaven but not that bad for Hell. So, we are sent to Purgatory and given a chance to prove we deserve to be up in the Good Place. In the original game, our beloved made it up there and that was our driving goal to get there. A goal that we can only accomplish by taking up arms and running, jumping, grappling hooking, and various other things while shooting all of the grotesque terrors trying to stop us from making it into Heaven. Something we will find out could also stop an Earthly invasion from the depths of Hell if we shoot our guns correctly in Painkiller. Have a look at what is on the way to us all for this IP again and have a look at the classic version of the video game before it comes out. Just try to ignore the weird versions of the IP that some do not like to talk about ever existing out there.
