E3 2014 Impressions: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

While at E3 I got to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it All of the teases and short shows of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can all be put aside now as we were given a new and nice look at the game and features that have yet to be announced or shown in a public form. It also kind of puts the whole demo thing for Ground Zeroes to the side as with what was shown here at E3 was considerably more and with a demo you should get all of the game's mechanics and features. Yes the core running, stealth, and shooting are all the same but here is what we didn't get to play before but will once The Phantom Pain launches. Read More...

An interview question gets Hideo Kojima talking about remakes of the early Metal Gear franchise. In a recent interview on Twitch Hideo Kojima talked for a whole hour. Some stuff we already knew but a fan question made the future seem even brighter. While it would probably be very far off into the future it still makes my heart beat with glee. The only hope we have is that Kojima said he would like to remake the first two Metal Gear games. Am I the only one who is disappointed by the new Borderlands game announcement? I have been a fan of Borderlands since its release day. I have played both games on all three platforms. Each time the game looks the best to me on the PC. Contrary to the evidence, I am not a PC elitist. The game just seems to pop a little better when ran at max settings on a PC. Earlier this week there were rumors abound about a supposed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I personally poked at the rumor but as it would turn out some other press outlet just broke the embargo on the announcement. Now here is yet another April Fools' joke straight from Razer in the form of a product called Eidolon. This is one of the more obvious jokes floating around today but the fun fact here is that I had an idea for this back when my mortal coil was a young lad. What am I talking about? April Fools: Titanfall Is Getting Optimus Prime DLC

An April Fools' joke from Respawn and IGN makes it look like we will be getting Optimus Prime added into Titanfall via DLC. Why is this a joke? This new Titanfall April Fools' joke is exactly why I loathe this "holiday." This looks amazing and would actually have me wanting to keep playing Titanfall for quite some time; especially if this Optimus Prime DLC was real as well as lead to other Transformers DLC for the game. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has been labeled as one large demo and prologue to The Phantom Pain. In fact there have been gameplay sessions of the game that show it can be completed in a little over seven minutes. The game is also not the same price as a normal retail title but it is still $30 but is it worth the price of admission to Metal Gear Solid V?
