A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. It's PAX week and the madness has just begun for all things gaming right now. Rumor No More — Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Is Happening
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been officially announced by Gearbox and 2K Australia. Looks like all the rumors were true. Earlier this week there were rumors abound about a supposed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I personally poked at the rumor but as it would turn out some other press outlet just broke the embargo on the announcement. If this forced Gearbox's hand to make things official is still up to debate but none the less here we have Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. As mentioned before, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes place after Borderlands but before Borderlands 2. Read More...

April Fools: Razer Jokes About Something I Dreamt Up As A Child With Eidolon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Yet another April Fools' joke; this time from Razer in the form of Eidolon. A crazy augmented reality drone and contact lens system. Now here is yet another April Fools' joke straight from Razer in the form of a product called Eidolon. This is one of the more obvious jokes floating around today but the fun fact here is that I had an idea for this back when my mortal coil was a young lad. What am I talking about? Well if you haven't jumped to the video for Razer's Eidolon 'project' yet it is all about a 'power glove' of sorts that has a mini-drone that will follow you around taking video and images of your life. April Fools: Titanfall Is Getting Optimus Prime DLC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
An April Fools' joke from Respawn and IGN makes it look like we will be getting Optimus Prime added into Titanfall via DLC. Why is this a joke? This new Titanfall April Fools' joke is exactly why I loathe this "holiday." This looks amazing and would actually have me wanting to keep playing Titanfall for quite some time; especially if this Optimus Prime DLC was real as well as lead to other Transformers DLC for the game. Yep, their fun April Fools' joke was DLC that looks awesome and will most likely never be. Here watch for yourself. Read More...

April Fools: So It Begins With The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Over the weekend 'The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure' was 'announced' from Guerrilla Games. So April Fools Begins… I guess we are letting the 'fun' of April Fools begins early with The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure. Just in case you missed this, over the weekend this 'announcement' was placed on Killzone website for all to see. I personally think someone pulled the trigger too soon on posting this up on their blog but here you have it; the first of the April Fools' jokes that you all know I love so much. If this is not an early April Fools joke then I am a monkey's uncle. Read More...

Review — Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Is it just an expensive demo or a real fun game? Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has been labeled as one large demo and prologue to The Phantom Pain. In fact there have been gameplay sessions of the game that show it can be completed in a little over seven minutes. The game is also not the same price as a normal retail title but it is still $30 but is it worth the price of admission to Metal Gear Solid V? Let's dig in and see if you should drop the cash and time. Read More...

Sony Doesn't Want To Be Left Out Of The VR Craze With Project Morpheus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Sony unveiled their VR head set, dubbed Project Morpheus, at GDC this week. Will we all be playing God Of War as Kratos now? Some big news has emerged from Sony at GDC in the form of Project Morpheus. This is the company's new virtual reality headset that has been designed to work hand in hand with the PlayStation 4. If it will let you play any title that has made it to the next gen console from Sony is still up in the air but Project Morpheus makes it an option. Not only have an option for any old title, hopefully, but for developers to make some amazing experiences on the PS4 moving forward. Read More...

Spectre Looks Like Stay Alive But For Real
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of March 2014 - 09:02 PM ]
Here is some new footage of Spectre, a Kickstarter virtual reality horror multiplayer game using the Oculus Rift. Looks like it could be creepy… It's hard to believe that it has only been eight years since the film Stay Alive came out and there really hasn't been a video game made to try and copy it. Even as I write this article I have yet to hear of anything. That was until I heard about a new game called Spectre. Read More...

How Fast Can You Beat Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was always claimed to be short. But ten minutes short? Check it out. There has been no big secret that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a short game. The length lent itself to the lower price for the game as well as the lack of a platinum trophy in the end game. That said, would you believe that it can be beaten in about ten minutes? Yes, I said ten minutes. Read More...

More Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Screen Shots To Shake A Stick At
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of March 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We have a plethora of new screens for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Look it's Psycho Mantis! We are quickly coming up on the launch of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes so it's good that we are getting a few new screen shots to help tide us over until that date. Most of them look lifted from gameplay videos that we have seen before or just title screens so…wait a hot minute…is that Psycho Mantis? Holy crap it is and in his PS1 low res glory. Maybe it is worth a deeper look at all of these new screens just to see what else we have going on here. Read More...

It's Time For A Project Spark Beta Montage!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
A recent video from Team Dakota shows off all of the creative 'games' Project Spark beta users have created on the Xbox One. I remember back when Project Spark was first announced and shown off to a lack luster acceptance. I also remember getting to see it up close and personal with many members of the press and convention goers giving it little acknowledgement. Now that the beta is in full swing for Windows 8 and Xbox One users all of those naysayers from before seem to be singing a different tune or at least they should be based on what has been created within Project Spark. What makes me say this is the recent video for Project Spark that has just been loosed to the web that shows off some of the creative ways users have used it just in the beta. Read More...

New Details 'Leaked' For Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Konami tried to 'leak' information about Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, but can they really 'leak' the information? Usually when you hear about video game news leaking it is due to someone who pirated or downloaded something about the game that the PR reps, publishers, or developers didn't want in the wild yet. That is not the case this time with Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. At least if the PR email that I was sent as anything to say about it. Read More...

Which Console Do You Think Will Play Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes The Best?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A new video from Konami showcases the graphical differences between the console platform versions of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Which is the best? Since we are still in the middle of a 'console war' as well as transitions in said 'war' wouldn't it be nice to see how Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes looks on all of them before you buy it. You know, so you can make an informed decision and what not before you finalize your purchase and all that jazz. It would be nice so you can play into the ever changing 'console war' and not to mention find which version of MGSV: Ground Zeroes will look the best. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of November 2013 - 11:28 PM ]
There Are A Couple Of New Trailers Out For Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. They Showcase Some New Gameplay And The Déjà Vu Mode I don't know if you want to take this as good news for PlayStation owners or not but it looks like Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is going to have a mode just for them. This mode is simply called Déjà Vu and from the looks of it, it is a mode that allows you to replay missions in Metal Gear Solid V using the original skins from the PS One days. Exciting stuff to say the least. Read More...
