We are on the verge of the release for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and it is time to wrap up this whole behind the scenes look at how and why Gearbox and 2K are making the game. With that we also get a nice look at the design and ideas behind all of the weapons we have grown to love in Borderlands and Borderlands 2 as well as what we are to expect in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Yes they've gone over the new weapon types and everything umpteen times before but this time it is more the look and feel instead of the actual effects and damage numbers that get output to the screen.
In all actuality when you look at all the weapons in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel each new type really does have four different subcategories added on too. This of course is all based on the different manufacturers in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel having their own little flare on how these things will act. I am particularly partial to the Ghostbusters style of laser that has been shown and has a bit more depth in the below video. It's just my love of the films over anything on the number side or mechanics side though so who knows if that will stay the same once I actually get Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel spinning on my system.
We only have about five days now until Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launches and I couldn't be more interested in the franchise now. I do hope that they keep with the idea of interesting story DLC as they move forward and will want to expand The Pre-Sequel until they get around to making a Borderlands 3 of some sort. I think we are going to be getting a PS4 and XB1 version of all Borderlands games before that happens but who knows. At least it looks like things are still rolling out perfectly fine between all those involved.
