Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week has been rather in sane for video games out there and gaming in general. Gamescom kicked off strong and has been going strong all week. We had the smash announcements of Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country out there to kick that off. Bloodlines 2 Stay in torpor longer for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 as it looks like we have yet another delay for Bloodlines 2 At this point, it is starting to feel like we are going to need to be an immortal vampire to live long enough to play Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. The game has, sadly, been hit with yet another delay out there and we are not going to be seeing what The Chinese Room has for u until 2025. The Lodge The fun of Paramount+’s The Lodge is coming back to SDCC this year and The Lodge will hold even more shows & swag within The fun of Paramount+’s The Lodge is happening once more during SDCC this year and will be bringing us a whole lot of extra fun. The experience has hopped around from last year to now and this one is looking to bring back some favorite things along with more to hype up the upcoming shows and IPs that the streaming service has. Sadly, there is now South Park, as the Las Vegas version of The Lodge had, but that does not mean we will not have a lot of fun with the other Paramount+ shows. No, the game has not shifted from a survival horror game to a fighting one, but Headware Games is offering up a look at the combat we can expect when the game hits the PC down the line. Hollowbody is not going to be another of the walking simulation horrors out there and is leaning more into its Silent Hill inspirations more than anything. How soon? Well, it looks like Jetpack Interactive is looking to bring this title from Santa Monica Studio over there on September 19th, 2024. Blood Bowl A new faction is coming to Blood Bowl 3 with the undead also carting along some cross-play for Blood Bowl fans The next faction is hitting the pitch for Blood Bowl 3 with the reveal of the Necromantic Horror team. A team that I am sure that is a bit on the self-explanatory side of things, but we have a good update from Cyanide on it. On June 11th, Blood Bowl 3 will be flooded with ghouls, zombies, and all kinds of ghosts to give all of the nightmares a run for their money in the game.
