Arkham Asylum Remodeled To Arkham City

It has been a long while since we had any good news about Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 hasn't it? Almost eight months it has been since the VGA's ran the announcement trailer for Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Games' next incarnation of the best Batman game to date. Runic Games Announces Torchlight II

Today via Twitter, Runic Games announced the highly anticipated sequel to last year's hit action-RPG, Torchlight. While only a teaser website today, Torchlight II looks to bring everything that made the original successful, build upon it and enable co-op game play. New classes to play, new TorchEd modification editor and a new user interface are just a few of the features already listed for Torchlight II. Did I mention Co-Op multiplayer? It has been only a little over a month after we first brought you our thoughts on Dead Space 2 from E3. So what new can we bring you about DS2 that we haven't already talked about? Well, actually getting to take the reins of the demo they showed in the back rooms at E3 for one. If you have seen the game play from E3, then you know exactly what part of the game we got to look at behind curtains at Comic Con. Only this time we didn't have to rely on the game designers to tell us how great the new controls for Dead Space 2 are going to be. Comic Con Impressions: Twisted Metal

Ever since it was announced at E3 that there would finally be a Twisted Metal making its debut on the PS3, I have been waiting ever so patiently for a really good showing of what the people over at Eat Sleep Play have accomplished - outside of the demo they had and modes announced. Perhaps reveal some story, game play modes or other characters. All those were all strongly touched on by David Jaffe at this year's Comic Con. Intellivision Will Live On The DS

Today, Virtual Play Games officially announced the release date of Intellivision Lives! on the Nintendo DS. Intellivision Lives! is a compilation game sporting over 60 games from the retro console's library. With this year being the 30th Anniversary of Intellivision, this is a perfect time to rekindle the fires of nostalgia. The game is set to release in September of this year. Comic Con Day 2: Night Of The Living Retardababy

After having a bit of time to cool off about all of the events of the prior day, and receiving a few PR-like responses to messages about having issues with booth people, I trudged my way back to the convention space. It was truly a difficult thing to have to do after the abysmal treatment received the day before, but Friday was the day of the first big panel I needed to attend. EA And 38 Studios 'Project Mercury' Gets A New Name UPDATE

Electronic Arts and 38 Studios have finally named their mysterious open-world, single-player RPG 'Project Mercury' to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The 38 Studios panel (details can be found here) at San Diego Comic-Con is sure to be one of the bigger announcements at the convention this year. While normally a Philosophy class on your schedule may be cause for alarm, a class full of students is tackling Philosophy in video games. Slim XBox 360 Arcade Coming In August

It wasn't that long ago (*cough*...E3...*cough*) that Microsoft announced its latest XBox redesign - the Xbox 360 Slim. Well, news has been flying around that an Arcade version of the XBox 360 Slim is getting an August release date along with some even slimmer hardware. According to German Amazon.com, the XBox 360 Slim Arcade is slated for an August 20th release date, and will come with only 4GB of storage space (no news on wireless capabilities yet). Contrary to the recent inception of the XBox 360 Slim which only comes in a 250GB hard drive option. The new XBox Slim Arcade seems like it could possibly support some sort of flash memory or other small storage device as an option. Read More...

Fans of the SHMUP (Shoot 'em up) genre in the U.S. have always had a hard time in recent console generations finding easy access to titles without importing them from Japan. Thankfully, Aksys Games is trying to reverse that trend. Aksys has released their first SHMUP in the U.S. with Deathsmiles. On the development side is Cave, one of Japan's best SHMUP developers.
