It's been ten years since we first met Sora in Kingdom Hearts and watched him team up with Donald and Goofy on a quest to find King Mickey and ultimately save the various worlds in the Disney universe from the clutches of the Heartless. Square Enix had a big announcement today about everyone's favorite Final Fantasy/Disney crossover. Unfortunately, it wasn't the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3. Kingdom Hearts fans around the world collectively sigh in disappointment as they read about Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, set to release Fall of 2013. It is a compilation for the PlayStation 3 featuring Kingdom Hearts Final Mix; Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories; and story cut scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Talk about an oops moment. Looks like Disney let slip, and then quickly removed, an announcement for Epic Mickey 2 in a recent newsletter sent out. While this isn't the first "rumor" that there was a sequel in the works, this is definitely more proof that the title is in the works for all of you out there who enjoyed Epic Mickey. I had no idea what I was in for when I took the controls to play Epic Mickey at E3 2010. It did not take long for me to realize that the "epic" in the title was well earned. Today, Disney Interactive Studios announced today that the demo for their upcoming action racer Split/Second is now available for download on XBox LIVE. Developed by the award winning Black Rock Studio, Split/Second will be exclusively for XBox LIVE until May 11th. After the 11th, it will be available for the PlayStation Network. The demo will allow players to experience the Airport Terminal level where players will race through a fictional airport terminal taking out opponents by triggering events, such as bringing down the air traffic control tower and piloting a cargo plane remotely.
