This Week In Video Games 7/30/18 — 8/3/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of August 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week is now over and we can go back to focusing on playing our video games instead of hunting down for any new tidbit for them. At least on our side of the screen here. Not that it has not been exciting hearing more about The Walking Dead and Darksiders III, but it is finally time to let loose. How else are we supposed to get up to date with our South Park DLC and hammering out more for Shadow Of War? Read More...

The Environmental Puzzles Of Darksiders III Have Been Evolving
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Darksiders Another new look at Darksiders III is here to show us how the puzzles of Darksiders III will feel the same but play out very different It looks as if we all have time for one more video for Darksiders III here and this one takes us into the world of puzzles. Not an actual world in the game, but a look at how the team over at Gunfire Games has been slowly changing and evolving the puzzles in the world for us to try to figure out. Given that the franchise has never been a puzzle only title, it may sound a bit off to here, but in Darksiders III it looks like things have evolved to make more sense in the game world as well as add a new challenge to what we already know. They would need to do this in some way or the franchise would fizzle out before THQ Nordic can get to the fabled fourth chapter of the story… Anyways, we get a new commentary view of some of the old footage we have seen for Darksiders III already. It was a long wait, but it was worth it if the latest trailer has anything to say about it. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of July 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We are back on schedule with yet another week of video games to have gone through and completed. It was a rough one last week with so much going on and the few missed marks we had. We are sorry about that, but at least we had another Darksiders III dominated week and more for the Spider-Man PS4 game to look at. Not to mention all of the stuff we had to cover out at SDCC this year that we will bring you next week as well. Read More...

Fury Flames Out In The Latest Footage For Darksiders III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Darksiders A new video for Darksiders III is here to show us how Fury gets her flame from in the usual Darksiders manner We have seen a bit of Fury's Flame Form in the past for Darksiders III, but now it seems like it is time to spoil how she earns it in the game and it plays out much like you think. That is most likely why Gunfire Games was okay with sharing it as it lets us see how much more of a badass Fury will be in the game and also keep us engaged with THQ Nordic until November 27th when it launches. You know, because we would forget about Darksiders III before then and move on to the many other games out there for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

See The Wrath Of Darksiders III In Full-Blown Action
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Darksiders New gameplay for Darksiders III is here to show us another boss fight that we will have to take on when Wrath comes calling in Darksiders III There is still a bit of time before Darksiders III hits us on November 27th which means there is still a lot of time to have a look at more of the bosses that Gunfire Games has put together for us. We have seen Sloth so far in the past from THQ Nordic, and now we have a look at Wrath in the game and we can mark off one more of the sins we will see in action. I do hope that we do not get them all spoiled for us before Darksiders III finally hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but it is new gameplay to look at as well as some of the first of the voice work we will get to hear in the game. Get Ready To Bring The Crunch In South Park: The Fractured But Whole
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
South Park The next DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole now has a release date and we will be getting more of the South Park added into the mix The next DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole is almost here after a fairly long wait. We have gone to Casa Bonita and taken on the Danger Room from Timmy, now Ubisoft will be sending us all off to Lake Tardicaca to join Mint-Berry Crunch in finding out what happened to a group of counselors who have gone missing. All in the usual South Park style of things and with the same cast of characters one would assume to be along for the ride here. You know, Fastpass, Doctor Timothy, and Professor Chaos among the others with the "New Kid" at the center. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/9/18 — 7/13/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of July 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the books now. As usual, there was a lot to look at and take in, but a rather slow week in general. Granted, we did have the big news for Darksiders III here with a load of new gameplay and one of the coolest collector's editions I have seen for many video games in a while. We also had a nice look at the upcoming Spyro trilogy that is on its way as well as some updates for Far Cry 5 and the delay of Code Vein again. Maybe we should not have ended on that note. Darksiders The release date for Darksiders III has been set now and we have a few editions of Darksiders III that will start an apocalypse on our wallets What originally seemed like a leak of sorts for Darksiders III has officially turned into all kinds of amazingness as we now have a release date officially set for the game. Not only that, but it looks like in addition to that Gunfire Games and THQ Nordic have put together some rather epic collector's editions for the game as well. One of which will set you back $400 USD to pick up Darksiders III, but from the looks of it, it will be worth the money. Read More...

Earthfall Now Has An Official Release Date To Look Towards
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Earthfall The official release date for Earthfall is now set and we can all look to be playing Earthfall on our systems by July of this year It looks like it is time for Earthfall to leave that Early Access and to move right along to a full release. Not only that, but a full release on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 now that Holospark has finally set down the release date for the game and it is now heading to us on July 13th. Yes, you will soon be able to save humanity from the alien invasion in the Pacific Northwest with everyone else in Earthfall and not have it be a "work in progress" anymore. Not that gamers have not had fun playing the game in that setting thus far, but it is always great to see our games move on to the full release instead of early access. Read More...

Enter Another Dystopian World With The Latest For Insomnia: The Ark
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Insomnia A new trailer for Insomnia: The Ark is here to give us another taste of what the world will be like in Insomnia: The Ark when it comes this year Get ready for one more Sci-Fi dystopian landscape to come at us this year with Insomnia: The Ark. It has now been set that this Kickstarter funded title will now be hitting the PC later in 2018 once Studio Mono wraps up work on it all. That should be a given for the game as they are still working on it and we cannot really play it until they are done, but it felt like it needed to be stated again here. Nonetheless, Insomnia: The Ark is coming this year and we also have a nice new trailer to look at for this Sci-Fi RPG that gives us a better feel for the dystopian world that we are going to be stepping into here this year. Dark Souls: Remastered Is Ready To Pre-Order With Some New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Dark Souls The pre-order pages for Dark Souls: Remastered are ready to go and with them comes a few other updates for the Dark Souls franchise in general Here is another good reminder that Dark Souls: Remastered is on its way and coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 25th. That reminder being that you can now pre-order this amazingly difficult title that FromSoftware put together for us and make sure you will be able to play it with all of those high-end visuals. Also a way for you to send more money the way of Namco and get a few things for Dark Souls: Remastered in the process. Or at least make sure you will be able to even have the game anymore when all is said and done, depending on the platform you are going with. Read More...

Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption’s Release Has Been Pushed Back A Bit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Sinner The release date for Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption has been pushed back but at least gamers on the Switch will have the chance to give Sinner a play If you were gearing up to play Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption on April 25th here…then you may want to put the brakes on that. It looks like the game is no longer hitting that date and will now be looking at a Q3 2018 release date to get in on this new Boss Battler title with a twist Dark Star Games and Another Indie are working on. That seems like quite the delay for a game that was supposed to land just a few weeks from now. The bigger reason given for the delay is that it will now be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch all at the same time. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of March 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
South Park We have your first look at South Park: The Fractured But Whole’s new DLC that takes us into one of South Park’s other iconic locations A whole new reason to dive back into South Park: The Fractured But Whole is here as the next DLC has been released. This would be the next major addition to the game that Ubisoft put together to take us all to Casa Bonita and take on the goth kids, vamp kids, and all kinds of other enemies. Some of whom we have already seen in South Park: The Fractured But Whole, but it does look like there is a lot more mixed in. Even the option to summon Satan. Read More...
