The DLC For This Article Will Be Released Soon.
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 22nd of January 2013 - 07:07 PM ]
I love it when I turn on a game I've already played and beaten and find that there is brand new stuff to do thanks to new content being added. But, in a world dominated by the internet is it really such a good thing now? I feel that games now-a-days are sometimes left incomplete in order to reach deadlines, and the finishing touches are just brought out at a later date in the form of patches or add-ons. In the past; unless you were on a PC; an incomplete game was rare on consoles before they could access the internet. And unless the game was incredibly good, people wouldn't go out to buy the next installments. Read More...

Killer Is Dead Trailer
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 21st of January 2013 - 09:58 PM ]
The guys over at Grasshopper Manufacture have released the first trailer for their upcoming game titled Killer Is Dead. The trailer features a lot of blood and a lot of Japanese language. Thankfully there are subtitles. Killer is Dead is about a thirty-five year old assassin named "Mondo Zappa." Mondo works for an undercover organization called "Brian Execution Firm." The firm sends Mondo across a "near-future Earth" where space tourism and Cybernetics are the norm, and where Mondo must execute a crap load of criminals. Cyborgs, Androids, and Sword Play? With the end of the year coming soon and the end of the world coming sooner, I thought now would be a good time to show off some of the games we're most excited for. So let's get right into the goods. First off we have the third installment to the amazingly beautiful franchise of Crysis, with Crysis 3. Developed by Crytek and Published by EA, Crysis 3 takes place twenty-four years after the events of Crysis 2. Players will be taking the role of Prophet again as he returns to New York. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of November 2012 - 06:58 PM ]
It's been six years since we got the damn decent video game movie Silent Hill. Now we fans can rejoice as Silent Hill: Revelation is here. Given the down time we should expect something along the same quality correct? Well I got to check it out, so if you are on the fence about seeing it yourself, let me give you a nudge one way or another. The Story: Years after the events of Silent Hill we follow the tale of Heather and Harry Mason, or as you might remember them Sharon and Christopher Da Silva. They are on the run for reasons to be revealed in the film. Read More...

Deadpool Adds Domino To The Roster Or Kill List
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of October 2012 - 10:12 PM ]
So now that we have waited patiently for any news on Deadpool, the game not the character, it finally looks like we are getting just a bit more. A new character for the game as well as the Merc's own colorful words on said character. Who is this new character? None other than the girl who can get lucky with anyone, Domino. Points if you catch the pun. Domino is well known for having been part of Six Pack and X-Force in the Marvel universe. Read More...

Dead Island: Riptide Tries The Tearjerker Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of September 2012 - 04:40 PM ]
I am sure we all remember back when Dead Island was first announced and the trailer that came with it. I am sure you do. It had people welling up with tears over a fictional family that was on the island of Banoi when the outbreak happened. Seems that Dead Island: Riptide is taking its turn at trying to hit you in the gut just like before. Below you can see the new CGI trailer for Riptide. While not an announcement trailer, as it has been announced already, it is the first promotional video showcasing the horrors that may lay in wait for us in the game. Read More...

A few days ago Double Dragon: Neon came out causing 8- and 16-bit fan boys and nostalgia addicts alike cream their pants in joy. However a day before that happened, Majesco Entertainment unleashed this 80s beat'em up fest's soundtrack to the masses. This is every one of the 45 tracks from the game. Ranging from midi masterpieces to 80s inspired new wave and even into old skool hip-hop. The soundtrack can be picked up from the Official Double Dragon: Neon website for the low cost of FREE. Just when you think things might be going well in the world of Dead Island you find out things just got worse. Recently there was a bit more revealed about the upcoming sequel, Dead Island: Riptide, including some screens. In this reveal we find out that all of the survivors, Playable Character, are on their way to safety and then thrust onto a new island of the dead. Ain't that some shit? With Comikaze Expo coming up here soon we can expect more about Deadpool to be coming to the public. So before that, let's go over a bit that has been released so far as well as a few more screens showing what Deadpool does best. Bring on the guns. Bring on the katanas. Bring on the best super power ever, Common Sense. So as is to be expected, the combat will blend a mix of sword and gun play. Just as the trailers and screens have implied, expect a spinning whirlwind of death and (bang) explosions. Read More...

The Disappearance Of Single Player
by Greg Tatterfield [ Wednesday, 1st of August 2012 - 09:49 PM ]
Remember the time when you placed a new game in your game console and you could expect an epic and memorable single player experience? I am among those gamers who remember having that full-blown experience with every new game that graced my console. As an old school gamer that owned all the major systems since the 90s I see a disturbing trend that could spell trouble for fans of single player games. The problem is that single player seems to be becoming extinct. It’s no secret that online multiplayer has became exceptionally popular among the current generation of gamers. Read More...

Naughty Bear Is Back And Showing Off Game Play
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of July 2012 - 09:36 PM ]
Over two years ago Naughty Bear hit consoles to a rather mediocre reception. I for one enjoyed the idea and concept but there was room for improvement. So I was a bit shocked to hear that there was another title in the franchise coming this year. Hopefully the team over at Behaviour Interactive has taken their time to polish up franchise a bit. Speaking of, why don't we take a look at the game play for the upcoming Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise? That should give us a good look to see if that is the case. Read More...

Review: Jeremy McGrath's Offroad
by Fred Buell [ Thursday, 19th of July 2012 - 10:10 PM ]
Jeremy McGrath's Offroad, developed by 2XL Games and published by Reverb (PS3) and D3publisher (360), plays like you would expect any offroad, rally or ATV game to play. It's smooth, it has some air control and it has competitive AI. That is where this game really ends with its current competition. Jeremy McGrath's Offroad has various unlocks as is expected in this day and age, like new vehicles and performance upgrades, however I couldn't find much reason to go after them. No motivation to keep playing despite this. Now don't get me wrong, the game is superbly crafted, no bugs at all as far as I could tell, beautiful graphics for an arcade title, the AI is smart and the controls top notch. Read More...

Silent Hill: Revelations Looks Like It Will Further The Franchise Well
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2012 - 09:52 PM ]
It has been a little over six years since the first Silent Hill film hit the screen and a lot of us have been clamoring for a sequel, myself included. It has been one of the best video game franchises to move over into film and at this year's San Diego Comic Con we were given a look at a bit from the sequel, Silent Hill: Revelations. You might have already noticed below that there is a video clip from what we saw, but there is another that is not included. One that is a lot creepier and features the Mannequin from the franchise.
