Kratos is back yet again to take on the gods for the torment they have put him through. Well kind of. Kratos is back to show the world why he was so pissed at the beginning of God of War 2 - not to mention that finally one of the original storylines for the franchise is brought into the mix. So here we go again. Another rhythm game comes to the market, only this time it is one that is truly trying to innovate the genre. I am talking in more ways than just trying to add new ways to play songs in the way of four guitars or adding challenges to earn more points and "stars." Though we already knew that Rock Band 3 was adding in a new instrument and a "Learn To Play Real Instruments" mode, it's how they went about it that changes the genre. Here we are, the day after the most anticipated weekend of conventions, Blizzcon. For your typical Blizzcon, it seemed they didn't have any major announcements this year. No Diablo III release date. No word on their new MMO (World of Jersey Shorecraft??) but I will say the cosplay contest was probably the best I've seen so far. Chris Metzen hosted this year's keynote, and after some Blizzard buffs, we broke into a steady run of news beginning with the next WoW expansion. Blizzcon is over and that means news. Everyone including myself was expecting a release date for Diablo III, but instead we got a reveal of the 5th class called the Demon Hunter. The Demon Hunter is a dual crossbow wielding, bola throwing, walking ball of destruction. Check out the Trailer below, as well as a look at some of the game play. Today, Nintendo announced new holiday bundles to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. release on the NES. Going "Mario-red," the new Wii and DSi XL will each have Mario games bundled in with them to complete the experience. Nintendo also unveiled the new Wii-mote with the Wii Motion Plus technology built into the original frame. The title really says it all here. Below you will find a new set of screen shots from God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta. Some will look similar to things we have seen and already played in the demo. Some are a bit new. But in the end, they really don't do anything to excite like the most recent Back-story Trailer from last week. This makes me kind of sad. Since this year's E3, there has only really been one launch title for the Microsoft Kinect that I've had even the most remote interest in: Dance Central. Today, Harmonix released the complete track listing for the game and although the 32 tracks seems a bit light - after being accustomed to receiving 85 tracks on a Rock Band disc - I will say the Harmonix team did an excellent job in the selection department. Sure it has the stereotypical DDR-like songs ("Funky Town", "Brick House", "Jungle Boogie"), but when you look a little bit deeper, I think you'll agree there is more than a few songs where you're beginning to hear the beat in your head and a smile is creeping onto your face. I only know since it just happened to me as I saw Bell Biv DeVoe's “Poison”, Salt-N-Pepa's “Push It” and Wreckx-n-Effect's “Rump Shaker”. Read More...

Blizzcon is notorious for their closing ceremonies, and 2010 will be no different. With performances by The Offspring, Patton Oswalt and the prince of darkness himself Ozzy Osbourne, the closing ceremonies have talked about around the world. Not to mention Blizzard has their in house band "The Artists Formerly Known as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain" who always put on an awesome show. Well it's 2010 and Blizzard has announced that they will be bringing us the band that has soared on the wings of demons, and battled the devil himself, but will probably just perform some sort of "tribute". Something that you only got to know by watching the extra videos after beating the original PS2 game or the re-mastered version in God of War: Collection. Just in time to get fans overly excited about something at the NYCC, not that they wouldn't be in general, Activision drops the curtain and shows the world a teaser for X-Men: Destiny. Something that can be spied on at the Activision booth (#1833) for now as well as all over the internet by now, not to mention below. Looks kind of… well… it's a reveal trailer that reveals nothing. In the godly plane of rock, an epic battle rages on. A battle between the Demigod of Rock - a being of all things that are rock - and the horrid, mechanical Beast - a being of everything that apparently sucks in music. Blizzard finally graces us with the official announcement for the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclsym. I'm pretty sure everyone has figured it out by now, but it's nice to see that now it's "Official" and no longer simply speculation. Deathwing is coming and he's bringing a boat load of destruction with him. With an increase of the level cap to 85, two new races and a complete restructure of the old world, this is revving up to probably be the best expansion yet.
