Wii and DSi DLC for the Week of 5/4
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 6th of May 2009 - 03:52 AM ]
Another week means new downloadable releases on Wii and DSi.  This ultimately indicates another first party cash-in for Nintendo.  A rumor I had heard and spoke out about on Total Meltdown, Episode 26, that Nintendo would use their first party mascots/characters to sell little applications on the DSi has come to fruition.A pair of applications are new to the DSi Ware shop.  Featuring the Animal Crossing license and each costing 200 DSi Ware points, Nintendo released a calculator and a clock. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2009 - 09:43 PM ]
BlizzCon® 2009 Tickets on Sale May 16 Yea, the title sucks, but who cares? Just thrown out there was the dates and details on trying to get your hands on some of those coveted Blizzcon passes that will most likely get snagged up in a matter of minutes again. But here is a good 11 day warning to get ready for the internet to crash due to all the Blizzard fans from trying to log on at the same time. But this time around, there is a little extra for those of you who can't get passes. Not talking the ability to watching on Pay Per View either. Read More...

More Clutter From The Beatles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2009 - 05:45 PM ]
New Beatles Rock Band Controllers With pre-orders starting to fly in for this new Rock Band game, The Beatles, the people over at Harmonix and MTV have decided to hook those pre-order people with a few little extras for shelling out a few bucks before the game comes out. Well hook them up somewhat. By giving them a site they can go to where they can place in a code given when pre-order. This will apparently give access to a few things that will hit the internet hours after it is placed in there. Read More...

I guess war is not a game
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2009 - 02:15 AM ]
Not sure if you heard by now, but there was a protest at the Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, PA. Why at that mall? Well there is a Twelve Million Dollar experimental recruitment facility called Army Experience Center in the mall. Protesters gathered outside the mall and marched themselves in front of the center yelling, “SHUT IT DOWN! SHUT IT DOWN!” Gamepolitics. Read More...

A Mass Of Images
by Kevin [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 07:32 PM ]
After spying these over at Kotaku (and IGN for the wallpapers), I find myself getting even more excited for future information concerning the game. While the 'Death of Shepherd' has been mulled over by speculative fans, I wonder more about the supporting characters that you encountered in the first game. There is plenty of room to to explore more about the relationships between them and their history, and to visit some of their home worlds as well. You can check out the newest art here. Read More...

Another Evil Blast From The Past
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 05:39 AM ]
Resident Evil: Archives I said it a long while back that this year was going to be the year of Resident Evil. Not that it would dominate the market and be game of the year. But that there was going to be a cornucopia of Resident Evil titles out for consoles this year. Although it would seem that more of them will be on the Wii over the other consoles out there. Count is 1 to 1 to 2 now. XBox, PlayStation and Wii respectfully. Read More...

Finally The Best Man/Woman/Robot/Monster Team-Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2009 - 08:59 PM ]
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Coming To Live And PSN Looks like the complaining and wishing have finally paid off for all of us Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 fans. Well somewhat. Don't you hate when I say that because it generally means it comes with some kind of "but" or bad news? Well not totally this time. The aforementioned "somewhat" only means that we will have to wait until this summer to get it on our XBoxes and PlayStations. In fact, we will be getting it then with some new features that I'm sure will not let you down. Well as long as Live and the PSN do what is hoped of them. Read More...

So yea, be prepared for the Capcom flood here with all kinds of crazy stuff for you to take in and enjoy. Here are loads of screens stopped and perfectly taken from the trailer/game play video for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicle for you to digest. Digest like the zombies and bio-weapons that Umbrella has created in this game. Read More...

Feed Your Warcrack Addiction From Your iPhone
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of April 2009 - 04:30 PM ]
World of Warcraft On The iPhone Well it looks like the world is going to end soon as enough people to constitute an entire large US state will bring down the internet as well as the mobile communications around the world. At least if this is proved to be something real as well as something to come out. But as the tag line states, World of Warcraft has been seen on the iPhone via a new app. The video below shows off how an app that was being used to run Second Life on the iPhone has been tweaked and worked to let WoW users log in anywhere they have phone reception and play. Name change please?
by Binh Nguyen [ Sunday, 26th of April 2009 - 08:11 PM ]
Ever thought about changing your name? I have. Ever thought about changing your name to your favorite video game character? No I haven’t? Well a 6 year old Norwegian boy did, and here is what happened. This is according to a Norwegian newspaper and dagbladet.no. Last year Christer wrote a letter to the King asking for his name to be changed to Sonic X. That’s right he wanted his name to be Sonic X, do not know why but he did. His parents did not want to send out the letter but once Christer asked why the King hasn’t replied to his request to change his name. Read More...

Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Revealed
by Ben Brody [ Saturday, 25th of April 2009 - 05:33 AM ]
Preordering Sucker Punch's inFamous will get you more than just one good game, it'll get you into a multiplayer beta of another blockbuster game, Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Completely unknown is what the multiplayer entails. Co-op would be nice, though it wouldn't be suitable for a beta. Deathmatch would be cool too, as would capture the flag and a headquarters style game. More details should emerge on Monday when SCE makes their "electrifying announcement". Read More...

What's in the box? Valves new game?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of April 2009 - 05:36 PM ]
http://whatsinthebox.nl/ So what is it? New Half Life? Portal? New IP? Very interesting. Some folks have uncovered some very interesting things about this website as of late. Digging through the code, seems its a website for Valve. There have been users all over the net deciphering this since early this morning. Seems that when you mouse over the circle there is some Hex code, also in the source code is a website http://babel-research.eu/ which has some very interesting Black Mesa, Aperture Science, and the Hanso Foundation Logos. Best Buy Hooking Up Gamers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of April 2009 - 04:11 PM ]
$10 Games From Best Buy It's been said a billion times over that we gamers all like to have our habits be cheap. I mean who wouldn't right? What better than getting a load of titles on sale for dirt cheap, comparative to the normal costs? Like 1/5 to 1/6 the normal cost of a normal launch price for a game. If you wouldn't, then throw down that disposable income to people like myself who could always use a little extra scratch. Or maybe help out some charitable organization like the GHMF (Give Hade Money Fund). Read More...
