DirectTV's new host for Blizzcon 08! - Becky 'Aktrez' Young! If you were not able to snag up a Blizzcon ticket in the first go around, you were most likely sad. Then there came the second boost of tickets that flooded the market and got snagged up in mere minutes. So I bet you were sad again. Then Blizzard responded with, "Well if you can't be there in person, then we will televise it for you, for a small fee." So then you could be a bit happier. Bungie countdown is over. New Halo 3 teaser trailer is here

The Bungie countdown has ended, and with it releases a new teaser trailer. Set in a futuristic city, you are looking through a camera at various areas when pods drop from the sky. When the cameras are brought back online, you see destruction and damage everywhere. Cut to "Halo 3" and after which the camera itself is hit by a pod, and the video cuts to "Prepare To Drop". According to Xbox Live Marketplace description, this appears to be a new Halo 3 Campaign Experience. Look for more info as it is released. Read More...

Saints Row 2 Hands On @ PAX '08

After playing the first Saints Row for more hours than I can possibly count, I’ve been extremely excited since the announcement of Saints Row 2 coming in 2008. After one delay, which has pushed the game back to October 14 2008, I about lost my mind. But I would not have to wait that long to at least get a test run, and this is where PAX 2008 comes into play. After a short five minute play through during the media time on Friday, I knew I had to get back and play the full first mission of Saints Row. Atlus Announces Persona 4 Coming to US on 12/9/08

Yesterday, July 3rd, Atlus announced that Persona 2 will be coming to American PS2s this December 12th 2008. It was inevitable the game would be coming here considering the acclaim Persona 3 received from critics and gamers alike. The only question was when, and Atlus answered. Persona 4 takes place in a Japanese countryside at Gekkkoukan High, where a mysterious string of murders have taken place, and of course it's up to you and your team to find the answers. Persona 3 introduced an interesting relationship system in which you had to build friendships to help boost abilities and teamwork. Paralyzed Man Takes A Walk In Virtual World Ok, so I love reading about these kinds of things that make science fiction into science fact over time. I know I've had other stories about similar things, but I found yet another one that I thought god to share with you. So this guy in Japan that has been hit with a horrible lot and has been paralyzed got hooked up, pun intended, with a device that reads his brainwaves and allows for him to manipulate data in a computer. Mainly just the data streams that are used for input and such, but still data. He merely thought about walking and was able to make an avatar in Second Life walk around the virtual world. J-RPG Fans Rejoice As Major Companies Team For PS3 Game

Announced from company Compile Heart, comes a new J-RPG experience entitled Cross-Edge (X-Edge) due out for the PS3 in September. According to a Kotaku article today, it will feature characters from Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Namco Bandai, Idea Factory and Gust. Characters from Disgaea, Dark Stalkers, AR Tonelico and more will appear in the game (Full list below). The game will feature classic turn-based battles with up to four charcters in your party, story that in which you will rescue souls, and have the ability to dress up your characters. You will also be allowed to assign attacks to buttons on your Dualshock Controller, and combine multiple attacks for more damage. Read More...

Mirror's Edge Gameplay Trailer Debuts

Debuting today is the official Gameplay Trailer of Mirror's Edge from EA developer DICE. It shows off the acrobatics of the lead character, Faith, who is a runner for criminal organizations. The basis of the story is she is trying to free her sister who is imprisoned by the totalitarian government that is pursuing her during her exploits. Routes are easily spotted by the color red, yet there isn't always one route you can take to get to your destiniation. Also the game allows you to defend yourself in a variety of ways, as you can utilize weapons taken from your attackers, or never use a weapon and find other means of defeating anyone in your way. In light of the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV, I figured I'd deliver you all some more updates on EA's attempt to buy out Take-Two!Earlier this year EA attempted put out a bid on Take-Two, parent company to Rockstar and 2K games, and were rejected. After trying to make a bid again last month, EA once again ups it's anny and puts out yet another bid out on Take-Two. And once again - they got rejected!Although the press release on T2's site is pretty much written in Wall Street-lingo wrapped in an abundance of legal mumbo-jumbo, I was able to gather some details: -EA has upped it's offer to $26 a share for stock-holders of Take-Two.
