by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of January 2014 - 06:54 PM ]
The Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was announced and claimed to be bringing us the next gen Lara Croft on the PS4 and Xbox One. Let's take a look at if they have kept their word. The Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is only about a week away from hitting our "next gen" consoles and giving us not only another title to play on them but a look at what Crystal Dynamics is claiming to be the definitive version of the game. At least to date. There have already been a few comparison videos and images spread out in the ether of the internet but are you not truly interested in what went into making this 'definitive' look? There Is Some New Gameplay Footage For South Park The Stick Of Truth But It Also Comes With Another Delay Well isn't this some good news and bad news. The good news is that South Park The Stick Of Truth has seven minutes of new gameplay, I'll discuss here in a bit. The bad news, the game is delayed again and this time it won't be until next year. Can We ‘Quiet’ Down And Focus On The Drama Surrounding Metal Gear Solid V?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of September 2013 - 10:35 PM ]
I want to start off this whole thing with a nice quote from the amazing film Orgazmo. Take a look before I go into the bulk of what I want to talk about in this posting about the "over sexualization" in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V and comments made my Kojima. Just in case you skipped the clip, I don't know why you would have, it is pretty much how I feel about this whole "Sexy up" the characters in the game drama all over the internet. If you haven't heard this yet, doubtful, there was a huge splash made when Hideo Kojima spoke about making the characters in MGSV more erotic in hopes to get cosplayers and figurines of the game all over every convention. This is paraphrased mind you, but that is the short and dirty version. Read More...

New South Park: The Stick Of Truth Screenshots To Prove It's Not Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of August 2013 - 03:43 PM ]
It was joked about back during SDCC, but do people really think that South Park: The Stick Of Truth is going to be dead in the water? I actually hear people still murmurs this, I'm not kidding, even though we have been shown concrete proof that it is still well in development and scheduled for release. I understand that missing the original launch date and losing the original publisher has a bit to do with this, but seriously?!? How could you be so dense? Read More...

Review: Saints Row IV
by Greg Tatterfield [ Friday, 16th of August 2013 - 03:59 PM ]
In 2006 Volition released the original Saints Row. Starting as a Grand Theft Auto clone, Saints Row has long since found its own identity. Here we are on the series' fourth installment and the game is even crazier and over the top than it ever has been. It's clear that Volition and Deep Silver held nothing back in the development of this latest Saints adventure. Saints Row IV takes place a little after Saints Row The Third. The leader of The Third Street Saints has been elected president of The United States. Read More...

SDCC 2013: South Park: The Stick Of Truth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of July 2013 - 11:08 PM ]
Didn't make it to San Diego Comic Con or the South Park: The Stick Of Truth panel? Well we got you covered. Or at least an amazing individual on the internet has you covered in the video aspect and I have you covered in the details as I was there taking notes for you. It should be no surprise that there isn't much in the way of new information since E3, but a few choice questions from fans and during the panel revealed a few tidbits. One of the best things I have heard in a while has to be that there are no plans to force DLC down our throats even though there were some major cuts from the 850+ page script of the game. Both Trey and Matt expressed a hatred for the term and that it was suggested when they had to start culling down the content. Read More...

Murdered: Soul Suspect... Now With E3 Walkthrough
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of July 2013 - 09:27 PM ]
Words can paint an amazing picture and level of detail in the mind's eye. But you know what is better? Actually getting to see things with your own eyes. We have just that for Murder: Soul Suspect straight from E3. Well at least Square Enix and Airtight games were nice enough to provide us and the world with a wonderful view of what they were showing in their booth at E3. While I will do the self serving thing and point you to my full write up, it was mostly based off what you are going to get to see in the next 25 minutes. You also don't have to wait in the long line to check it out, so there is that bonus too. Read More...

Happy Independence Day! Here's A Saints Row IV Trailer To Celebrate
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of July 2013 - 08:26 PM ]
It's Independence Day in the U.S. and what better way to celebrate it with blowing up a part of it and pretending that you fully understand what our rights, freedoms, and the day its self is all about. Don't worry this isn't a preachy thing about to start, but an intro for the latest trailer for Saints Row IV that just happens to have all of the above things mentioned displayed in the most eccentric way possible. It also includes an 8 bit text adventure reference for all of you nostalgia hunting humans out there. Isn't that lovely? Read More...

Here's What I Got To Play Of Saints Row IV At E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of July 2013 - 10:57 PM ]
While at E3 a few weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to sit and play Saints Row IV. I just recently began enjoying the franchise so I was a little curious as to where everything was heading towards in the franchise. I am sure that if you are in here reading right now, you are in the same boat I was in. Luckily for you though, instead of regaling you with all the fancy words and metaphors of how the game played, I'll just throw you a bone and show you the demo that we were allowed to play. The video below does have a bit of the actual story mixed in so Spoiler Alert. Read More...

E3 2013 Impression: South Park: The Stick Of Truth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of June 2013 - 11:35 PM ]
With the fall of the mighty THQ and the purchasing of South Park: The Stick Of Truth by Ubisoft, all of us have been questioning what may or may not change in the final product. Especially since Ubisoft has it's hearts with the French and the Canadians and the minds behind South Park love to tear them apart. With questions like that and a huge interest in the game, I took a seat and watched what Obsidian had to show us at E3 after the great publisher swap. Granted, some of these might not be additions or substitutions due to the swap, but it was all shown during the demo I was graced with. Read More...

E3 2013 Impression: Murdered: Soul Suspect
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of June 2013 - 08:16 PM ]
If there was one title I was overly excited to check out at E3 this year it was Murdered: Soul Suspect. Just the basic announcement by its self gave quite a few reasons why it could be an amazing new IP, but I got to actually sit down and check out a bit more of the game than has been shown. Here's a bit of what I am sure we will all be able to see here in the not too distant future. As has been mentioned in the announcement, we get to play as Ronan O'Connor who used to be an investigator in Salem, Massachusetts with a shady past. In what seems like an attempt to not force an exact belief structure, Ronan gets dropped in The Dusk (Ghost realm) that is a bridge between the land of the living and whatever is the "next. Saints Row IV Is The Most Dramatic Saints Row Game... EVER!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of June 2013 - 11:14 PM ]
We all know the Saints Row franchise to be over the top and not one to take its self serious. Saints Row IV is no exception to that either even though the new trailer released for E3 has it quoted as the most dramatic in the franchise. Hells, this "War for Humanity" trailer does look very dramatic, at parts, but it really is all kinds of hilarious. If you were expecting something else then you might not know the franchise. Take a look as the President of the United States and Keith David, as Keith David, save all of humanity. Read More...
