Review — Hitman — Marrakesh
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hitman We sit down and review Hitman — Marrakesh. This is the third episode of Io Interactive's latest addition to the Hitman franchise. Here's our review on how they did. The world is ever expanding for Hitman and here we go with another episode and location to explore and kill many people that we are told to target. That is just how Io Interactive has everything set up in the game and that is just we have to do. All with a nice little story around it all but mostly just for the mechanics. Read More...

Left 4 Dead 3 Might Have Just Been Revealed On Accident
by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 30th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Left 4 Dead 3 We may be shown that Left 4 Dead 3 is coming to us sometime as Left 4 Dead 3 was spotted on an employee's computer in some way If rumors and speculation are true it looks like Left 4 Dead 3 may be on its way here in some time. That time is still up in the air if it is truly being worked on but as it looks an employee has been spotted over at Valve with a directory structure showing files that point to the game being in production. Of course this doesn't dictate that Left 4 Dead 3 is going to be a solid release here in the developer's portfolio but it does kind of lend to it being in the works. Especially given all of the other weirdness that happen to be going on along with this supposed leak of the game. Read More...

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Is Having Us Face Of Against Dragons Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty The third DLC pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been shown off here and it looks like Dragons are coming to Call Of Duty in addition to the zombies It looks like we have a good look at the new Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC pack that is coming to us on July 12th here. Well at least if you are playing the game on the PS4 that is given that Activision has set up the timed exclusivity thing again. I'm sure that it will be another month before this Call Of Duty DLC makes it to the Xbox One as usual but there is no date there. Which is sad for those gamers out there as it looks like Treyarch has given us something we have yet to experience in the franchise. Read More...

New Spider-Man Is In The Works But Not A Film Tie-In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Spider-Man During E3 it was revealed that Spider-Man was getting yet another title in the mix but this won't be a Spider-Man game tied into anything but the general lore Another one of the huge surprises out of E3 was the announcement of a new Spider-Man game coming into the mix. Maybe not a huge surprise given the agreement between Sony and Marvel for the IP but the bigger one would be that Insomniac Games is doing the building and that it will not be linked into the new film at all. In fact, this Spider-Man title will be a completely standalone title and unsurprisingly available for the PS4 sometime in the future. How long into the future is of course a good question as this is still a working title for the game but it would make sense to use the synergy of the new film; so maybe July of 2017… Of course as this is just an announcement and a tease for the new Spider-Man title, information for the game is still sparse. E3 2016 Impressions — Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Styx While at E3 I was able to see Styx: Shards Of Darkness in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Styx: Shards Of Darkness One of the other smaller titles on the floor at E3 that I was excited for was Styx: Shards Of Darkness. This would be the sequel to one of the smaller cult classic titles that Cyanide Studios gave us back in 2014. It is a fun little stealth action title that builds off the story of Styx: Master Of Shadows and from the looks of things builds off the expanded power of the Unreal Engine that they just didn't have before. Thankfully we don't have much longer to wait as the game is still slated to launch later this year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions — Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Vampyr While at E3 I was able to see Vampyr in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Vampyr In a nice dark room on the E3 floor we were able to spy upon Vampyr in action. For those who still haven't followed along, this is the new title from Dontnod that places us in the middle of the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918 in the role of a doctor who has recently been turned into a vampire. We've had a lot of news on Vampyr so far so hopefully you are up to date but if not then here are our first impressions of the game in action before all of the rest of the information from Focus Home Interactive drops between now and when it launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC next year. One of the big aspects of Vampyr is the fact that your actions and dialog choices will affect everything in the world. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions — Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty While at E3 I was able to see Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare If there has been one title at E3 that had strong feelings on both sides of the coin it had to be Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It had a lot of shade cast on it back when Infinity Ward first announced that it was coming on November 4th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Not because of it being yet another in the line of Activision's yearly Call Of Duty titles but because it looked too much like many other games out there and that it had lost its roots. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions — Skylanders Imaginators
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Skylanders While at E3 I was able to see Skylanders Imaginators in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Skylanders Imaginators Just as with every year since the franchise's start we have Skylanders Imaginators as the new addition to the franchise. We had the announcement that Toys For Bob is working on bringing us something new for the franchise and genre but at E3 Activision had a nice showing of the game from a bit of behind the scenes. We were allowed to see Skylanders Imaginators while out on the floor and also had a nice description of what will be coming to this franchise to make us shell out even more cash for the game and toys. All of which launching on October 16th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions — South Park: The Fractured But Whole
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
South Park While at E3 I was able to see South Park: The Fractured But Whole in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on South Park: The Fractured But Whole This has been marked down as one of my most anticipated titles of E3 and I was able to go behind the curtain and see South Park: The Fractured But Whole as they wanted to show us. Of course this being Ubisoft there was all the glamour mixed around it all to make everything more impressive than their little black room for the last title in the franchise. It looks like they get that South Park is something that is going to help rake in plenty of money and they are taking care of it. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions — Batman: The Telltale Series
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Batman While at E3 I was able to see Batman: The Telltale Series in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Batman: The Telltale Series. A few reveals for Batman have already popped up here at E3 this year but of course that isn’t where the reveals were going to end. In fact in the middle of Wayne Manor here on the floor Telltale Games had a secret access to the Bat Cave and allowed some of us to see the first 30 minutes of the first episode of their take on the Batman franchise. That sounds like quite a bit to take in but thankfully it was just enough to keep the hype ball rolling as we wait for the episode to finally land sometime this Summer for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Here’s what is new to the whole gameplay set up that we already know and love from the developer. Read More...

The Wastes Of Mars In The Technomancer Are Downright Rough
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The Technomancer The E3 trailer for The Technomancer has been released and this time we get a view of The Technomancer's Mars and the life that it has taken on Joining into the mix of titles getting a specific E3 trailer here is The Technomancer. Another title that should have been a given since Spiders is pumping it out here on June 28th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC so you'd think they would want to get it right out there. Not that we haven't seen a whole lot on The Technomancer up to now but now we have another fun trailer to show off just what the game's version of Mars has become. That would be the setting for the game for all of those who happen to only be hearing about the game right now. Read More...

Call Of Cthulhu Gets Its First Trailer To Drive Us Mad
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu The first trailer for Call Of Cthulhu has been released just before E3 and it gives us a taste of what Call Of Cthulhu will have for us at launch The wait is over now and we have our first trailer for Call Of Cthulhu to look upon. Sure we've had a few screenshot in the past from Cyanide Studios but they are just stills and we all want to see things in full motion. There is no denying that and now Focus Home Interactive has brought us a good look at Call Of Cthulhu just before E3 and well before its release in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Sadly though, in the usual manner, there isn't much to go on or any word that what we are about to see is true gameplay or just a nice cinematic for the game. Read More...

Destiny: Rise Of Iron Is Taking Us Back To Some Of Earth's Roots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Destiny The next large expansion for Destiny has been revealed as Destiny: Rise Of Iron and it brings all of the huge enhancements that one would expect in this expansion It's been teased and "leaked" but now we have official word that Destiny: Rise Of Iron is the next huge expansion coming for the franchise from Bungie. I'm guessing that Activision thought it best to just out it before the upcoming huge E3 reveal due to all of the "leaks" but none the less we have the new expansion. At least the new expansion for those who have Destiny on the Xbox One or PS4 already. Read More...

Styx Is On The Run In The Latest Shards Of Darkness Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Styx The E3 trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been release and it shows off a lot of the fun that Styx will be having while killing Moving away from the larger E3 video game teases and announcements it looks like we have a new trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness to gaze upon. I know that this game will be shown off a bit more in detail by Cyanide Studios during the convention but as it will most likely be behind closed doors leading up to then, this is most likely all we will have for now. None the less we will have more on Styx: Shards Of Darkness here after the expo but this is what we have for now. Just rest assured that we'll have a whole lot before its release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime this year. Read More...

XCOM 2 Is Now Expanding Into The Console Territory
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
XCOM 2 With the success of XCOM 2 on the PC platforms it looks like fans have finally been able to get XCOM 2 headed to the consoles this September We all wanted and demanded it and now it looks like Firaxis Games has given in and now we have XCOM 2 on its way to the major consoles as well. Of course they are not doing the work directly as 2K Games has brought on The Workshop to help usher the game over to the new platform but given their history that isn't a bad thing. Especially since now we can all keep an eye out to see XCOM 2 hit the PS4 and Xbox One on September 6th of this year. If you don't live in the North American region that date would be September 9th.
