So apparently, waiting was not on the agenda in the days prior to E3 opening.  What I mean by that is just the other day on Spike TV - they had their pre-E3 show where they showed a lot of the new trailers that previously, we would have had to wait until the actual show to see these trailers. After the reveal for Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock and the awesome new tracks, you may be thinking it may have been after E3 that we would hear or see anything further about this next Guitar Hero installment. Well since you are reading this, it is obvious that is not the case. There are still no further details on the game itself, but we do have a look at the next set of plastic guitars we will all be forced to pick up for Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock. Popular concert series Video Games Live has announced a crazy line-up of the of some of the most familiar and epic video game soundtracks for a new 90-minute special they are filming for PBS. Now, Video Games Live has been around for a while and is the brainchild of game music composer Tommy Tallirico and Jack Wall. For the unitiated, Video Games Live consists of video game music performed by a live orchestra with game footage and different lighting effects to coincide with the footage. This version of the concert will include music from the Super Mario, Zelda, Sonic, Halo, Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, God of War, Civilization, Chrono Cross, StarCraft and Guitar Hero franchises, and will also be "including a musical journey through Classic Gaming". I wasn't expecting to, but I personally really enjoyed the first Dead Space. While the announcement trailer for Knights Contract didn't do much to whet my whistle for the 2011 title, I will say that these screen shots just recently thrown out definitely do. I actually had no clue how blood and rage filled this game could potentially be. I mean, the trailer showed a bit, but these do so much more justice. Although visuals don't always make a game, they do add to the storytelling process of games. So we can only imagine how a skinned warrior and a huge, odd shaped looking monster fit in. Read More...
