Shocking New: Chris Evans To Voice In Captain America: Super Soldier
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of February 2011 - 11:41 PM ]
Just like the announcement of Chris Hemsworth voicing Thor in the movie tie-in game of the same name, it looks like Chris Evans is doing the same for Cap. in Captain America: Super Soldier. As the title says, real shocking news right? I am almost certain that most of us saw this coming in the first place, so the announcement is really no big surprise. Just like I said for Thor the surprise would be that the game is at least worth a rental. Moving on from that, there are a few new screen shots below for us to look at and get all hopeful over. So No Co-Op In Batman: Arkham City
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of February 2011 - 04:57 PM ]
Well we can put the rumors the Batman: Arkham City co-op video that found its way to the internet started. In a recent interview Sefton Hill from of Rocksteady Studios gave there will be no co-op play in Arkham City. It will be a single player game only. This kind of makes me extremely happy. Especially with the reasons being that they didn't want to take anyone from the team off the work on single player to deliver a rushed co-op mode. Better to have one really good single player game than a shotty single and co-op. On the plus side for you co-op wanters, with the news came a few new screen shots of the game. Read More...

Let's Take The Dead Island Challenge
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of February 2011 - 09:43 PM ]
Yesterday when the trailer for Dead Island hit the internet it caused a huge sensation. It is quite a brilliant trailer to behold. I did happen to notice two things about it though. The main thing is that it caused so many emotional responses, most in the form of crying or tearing up. I'm not talking just women either before you go there guys. Be it the mixture of the music and the film style or the fact that you are watching something extremely happy being torn apart by flesh eating monsters. It has some impact. Read More...

More Ass Kickers Shown For Mortal Kombat 9
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of February 2011 - 07:06 PM ]
While the two below trailers are mainly about Liu Kang and Noob Saibot being playable characters in Mortal Kombat, let's play a bit of "Where's Waldo?" with the clips and see if we can find a few characters not fully announced yet. That is if you can look past the pretty basic story for Liu and asskickery of Noob. I think I'm seeing Ermac, Sindel, Kano and Jade in there. All pretty basic and assumed to be in the game from the start, but hey it is a fun little game to play along with these clips. Read More...

Alice Has A Little Problem...She Stabs People...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of February 2011 - 10:23 PM ]
To me this isn't really a problem but a well adjusted response to the twisted stuff Alice went through in the first game. I mean come on, she deserves to get some of that anger, aggression and violent feelings out some way and what better than stabbing the shit out of every living creature at the Tea Party. Confused on what I am talking about? Then it is obvious you have yet to see the new teaser for Alice: Madness Returns which I am so nice to present to you below. Read More...

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Has Finally Launched...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of February 2011 - 07:41 PM ]
With that, let us celebrate by watching the fourth, I'm assuming last, episode of the story as well as a showcasing of the full roster of on-disc combatants for MvC3. Mainly for all of you out there that have yet to get your hands on the game and play through the main story path of the game. Yes there is story somewhere in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Or at least I am hoping on the game disc itself. Read More...

New Shadows Of The Damned Visuals
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of February 2011 - 10:38 PM ]
Since being announced during 2010's Tokyo Game Show, Shadows Of The Damned has not had all that much going on in the way of news. Maybe because of the 2011 release year being upon us it is time to show a bit more on the Survival Horror that look like it has gone a long way away from that genre. It still has the same looks about it for a SH but the game play that has been shown for the game definitely doesn't seem to go along those lines. I am digging the creatures we get to see though. Like the blood golem looking thing and the demon without skin. Read More...

Green Lantern Hunts Down Those Pesky Manhunters
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of February 2011 - 07:49 PM ]
So just like the Transformers Game, Green Lantern is getting the same treatment with a video game tie-in. A game nicely titled Green Lantern: Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters and looks to be as tied to the film in every way but overall story. At least the below trailer would lead me to believe that it takes place somewhere mid-way or after the story the upcoming film will have. Here check it out. From the looks of it, Hal will already be versed in the ways of a Lantern to fight the threat. Read More...

Transformers Milking The Dark Of The Moon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of February 2011 - 04:47 PM ]
I was hoping that we were all beyond this with the epic tea bagging Devastator gave us in the last Transformers film. But I guess Transformers: War For Cybertron did well enough for Activision to look into doing another Transformers game. With that let me present you Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. The next in the line of new Transformers games and a tie-in with the new film from look and sound of it. Why they have switched gears from the new games they have created to the tie-in I have no clue. Well outside of wanting to milk the consumer for more money because of the film. Read More...

A Couple That Portals Together Stays Together
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of February 2011 - 11:59 PM ]
What better way to celebrate VD* than to have a fun little advertisement for Portal 2? I learned quite a few things from this little clip for Valentine's Day as well. Like that 54% of women are allergic to chocolate, flowers are filled with bees and that four out of five people are crushed to death by giant diamonds every day. That is insane and I never knew. All kidding aside, once again Valve shows their great sense of humor whilst celebrating a holiday that is just another excuse to have a holiday. Read More...

Getting Your Fight On In Knights Contract
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of February 2011 - 09:23 PM ]
Maybe it is just me, but I am looking forward to Knights Contract. It doesn't seem to be picking up much attention from any one at all but every time I see something new I get even more interested in what is going on with this game. Maybe it is the rehashing of old IPs that is downing out Knights Contract. Have we all given into the nostalgia bull shit so much that we are not willing to give a second glance to an original IP? Well if you are not pining over the latest Marvel Vs. Read More...

New Inversion Screens Show How To Command Gravity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of February 2011 - 05:12 PM ]
So here is a title that has seemed to fall through the cracks of my press releases. The game is called Inversion and it is being developed by Saber Interactive and Namco. Maybe because it was suppose to come out sometime last year and then got pushed under a rug. Maybe it is because things have been silent since GamesCom 2010 and a 2011 delay announced. I don't know, but it is now slated to hit selves February 7th 2012 and from what is being shown right now, the game has snagged a bit of my attention. Here's the story for those not in the know like I was: You take on the role of a young father and husband, Davis Russel, who finds himself thrust into war when his peaceful city is invaded by an unknown enemy. Get Read To Embrace The Darkness Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of February 2011 - 04:56 PM ]
Hey I remember when The Darkness came out. I also remember I was not able to play it due to my lack of fundage but I did get to take the demo for a whirl. Obviously not enough to make any decent or well informed judgment on the game. Nor any good point of reference for the announcement of the sequel that has just been announced quite simply named The Darkness II. So for those like me or have kind of lost memory of the game from about four years ago, let me throw out the nice recap 2K Games has written up for us. It's been two years since Jackie Estacado, now the Don of the Franchetti crime family, used The Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend's murder. Read More...

Hop The Rail In Brink And Meet A Shotgun End
by Andy [ Wednesday, 9th of February 2011 - 11:06 PM ]
It's been a little bit since we've had some cool Brink stuff up here. So I submit for your approval, not that I really care for it, some new screen shots from Bethesda's upcoming game. This is the one that you may remember having the cool Parkour running and gunning. Also the one that actually played extremely well at E3 2010 but for some reason got pushed back, from my memory, almost eight months. Anyhoo. We are not being left totally in the dark with some new screens of the game. Read More...
