A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the bag yet again. It was a rough week for us here but we still managed to get all kinds of news and updates out to you for our great hobby. There were a lot of big announcements to see and have out there as we had a new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 and the fact that Shadow Of The Tomb Raider will be getting an optimization treatment for the PC version. There was also word that Rock Band 4 will be getting RBN again and we even got our final review of God Of War out there for those still on the fence. Read More...

We sit down and review God Of War. Kratos is back and looking a bit older & maybe a bit wiser. Here is our review of God Of War The time is now and Kratos is back for another installment to the God Of War franchise. It has been a hard road for the Spartan turned God and Santa Monica Studio is here to give us another installment to the franchise. This time with some new twists and turns as well as a new location. Not to mention a whole new pantheon and mythology to have to fight/deal with. Read More...

A new behind-the-scenes video for Detroit: Become Human has been released and it goes into all of the ways the team had to come up with the design for the futuristic Detroit If you are into the art of games, and I mean that literally, then you will be glad to see the latest for Detroit: Become Human. In another behind-the-scenes video for the game that we have here, we get to see all of the designs and looks that Quantic Dream came up with to craft this not-too-distant version of a real-world location. Nothing that has never been done before, even with the specific city, but it is nice to see how the team progressed from where they started four years ago to what we will be seeing n Detroit: Become Human on May 25th when it hits the PS4. New gameplay for Beyond Good & Evil 2 is here and it gives us a nice look at how we can navigate Beyond Good & Evil 2 as well as kick some ass with melee More gameplay for Beyond Good & Evil 2 is out there now after the most recent stream update that Ubisoft just held. Get those hype engines running as it gives us a better look at some of the traversal and navigation mechanics we will get you use in the game. Not only that, but we get to see some of the new melee mechanics coming to Beyond Good & Evil 2 and just how the team captured them and brought them into the game. All in a work-in-progress kind of way, but it is a way that all of the long-time fans can see a bit more of the game before E3 and get those motors running a bit longer. Read More...

A new trailer for the next DLC for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is here and it shows us a bit more on how this will expand the story Shadow Of War has already given us The story for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is getting further expanded here soon and we have our first look at the next DLC that is coming. Well, more of a Story Expansion than a DLC but it is what it is for now and Monolith Productions is wrapping it all up for us and putting a little Orc skull on it. It would seem like this would be the last of the Expansion Pass DLC for Shadow Of War as well, although there is always the chance of more. Read More...

After a bit of time away, the Rock Band Network is coming back for Rock Band 4 with all of the fun tracks but with a few little caveats Good news for those who are still entrenched in the Rock Band 4 fun and were looking to get more songs and expand into genres that are not as traditional. In a livestream recently it looks like Harmonix has let the cat out of the bag and announced that the Rock Band Network will be making its way back into the game. At least for the most recent one that has hit the PS4 and Xbox One. Read More...

A new trailer for Vampyr is here and gives us a bit more gameplay to look at as well as more on how feeding in Vampyr will lead to our strength We are just about a month out from the launch of Vampyr and that means we should start getting a bit more gameplay to look at instead of the amazing cinematic or in-engine cutscenes we have had so far. They are nice and all, but we all want to see what DontNod has made for us in terms of actually playing the game and not what it will look like. That and it would be nice to see more on how Vampyr's unique "leveling" system will work. Read More...

It has just been revealed that Agony will have multiple endings as well as Agony having a rather lengthy gameplay time New details for Agony have popped up and all of which revolve around the main story of the game but none of the true finer details. As if Madmind Studio would let loose one of the better aspects of their new horror game that hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 29th. I mean, we could have hoped to get the full story of Agony before then but what would be the point of playing the game? Also, would you want to read through the twelve hours of story we are getting for the game or just experience it? Read More...

The latest trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 is here and it gives us even more gameplay for Red Dead Redemption 2 to excite us all Set hype levels to an all-new high as a new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 is here and it has a lot more to show us than we have seen in the past. It shows off all kinds of fun old west things as well as something that look in-game or at least in the game engine. There is no real description from Rockstar Games on it, but it definitely looks that way. Read More...

The dates for the console version of Through The Woods has been set and it looks like gamers will get Through The Woods sooner than thought Before you say, “Through The Woods has been out for a while,” take a step back and realize that it has been out since 2016 on the PC but had yet to cross into the console market. We get it. Hopefully, you get it. Read More...

Another Soulcalibur VI character is revealed as a trailer leaked out and shows that Taki will indeed be a part of Soulcalibur VI Another veteran of the franchise has been confirmed for SoulCalibur VI as we now have a video showing off Taki. It may not be from a video that Bandai Namco wanted out there for the game just yet as it was "leaked" but it does show us that the warrior of the Fu-Ma clan will be back in the mix. It does come at us as all of the other Soulcalibur VI characters have so it is a solid confirm, but not the best-looking video that I am sure will be coming. It is something to know now as we wait for them to bring us the official reveal. Read More...

A new partnership is here for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and it will make sure that PC gamers have the best experience they can have for the upcoming Tomb Raider title We may have just had the first semi-showing of Shadow Of The Tomb Raider last week, but here we are yet again to have a bit of information we did not get last week. It is nothing in terms of story, new gameplay, or even a direct look at the game from Square Enix. Sad, I know. Read More...

The release date for The Karters has been set and gamers can look to a date real soon to be jumping into The Karters on their PCs Get ready for some new kinds of races as The Karters has been set with an official release date for the PC. Some of you may not have heard of the game before, but it is 10Ants Hill’s take on the kart racing genre and they have finally been putting the last bits of polish on the game to get it out to us on Steam. Now that all of that has been said, we can look forward to playing The Karters on May 29th and then hopefully drag in a few of your buddies to the fun of split-screen multiplayer as well as online multiplayer as you try to go up those leaderboards out there. All so you can be labeled the best around. Read More...

A new horror title, Chernobylite, has been given the announcement treatment and it looks like Chernobylite will re-explore some conspiracies of Chernobyl A new survival horror title is coming to take us back to the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe and it is called Chernobylite. Seems like a weird name to give it given everything, but this is what The Farm 51 are going with and I am sure it will make more sense over time. The game has just been announced so there is not much to know for the game to help explain the Chernobylite thing. It kind of sounds like a weird beer thing by name alone. Read More...

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is one more week of video games in the bag and it was, as we assumed, a little on the light side of things. I do not think anyone really wanted to go up against the power of God Of War. Well, except Tomb Raider that just had a nice new reveal for the game. It was more on the smaller or indie video games for the week but we did get to see that Jurassic World Evolution will be bringing a bit more of the franchise with it and more for Detroit: Become Human.
