As if Gunfire Games did not have a full plate already, here we go with a new announcement and title with Remnant: From The Ashes. Add one more title to their list that we will be adding to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC come 2019. That is at least if survival-shooters are your kind of game as that is what Remnant: From The Ashes. All in a third-person mode with up to four-player co-op. So, quite a different style of game than what we are all currently waiting for, but still another one to fill their time and get us all excited for more.
Remnant: From The Ashes is set in a post-apocalyptic future, as is all the rage as of late, where the Earth was overrun by beings from another dimension called The Root. It is now our task to survive this new world and fight them in other dimensions to get ours back under control. All with dynamically-generated levels, future weapons and equipment, and all kinds of other customization for the team. All in another world that has been destroyed for no good reason besides it needed to be. That seems to be their theme of titles as of late has it not? I will still take it.
Outside of all of that, there is not much more to go on for Remnant: From The Ashes. Well, outside of the following trailer that came along with the announcement. Have a look and see what the new world, The Root, and some of the gameplay will look like in the game. Then get ready to wait until 2019 for the game to finally come. At least if there are no delays and the like…
Remnant: From The Ashes — Announcement Trailer
Remnant: From The Ashes is a third-person survival-action shooter developed by Gunfire Games and published by Perfect World Entertainment. It will feature four-player co-op in "dynamically generated worlds," and is currently scheduled for a 2019 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Remnant: From The Ashes is set in a post-apocalyptic future in which Earth has been overrun by The Root; hostile beings from another dimension. To survive, players will travel to other dimensions, fight through "dynamically-generated levels," craft weapons and equipment, recruit tradesmen to populate their home base, and customize their character to suit their personal playstyle.
What do you think about Remnant: From The Ashes as it all stands right now? Do you think it will be another amazing new title added into the mix or will we all be looking for something other than post-apocalypse by the time we hit 2019? Do you think it will house couch co-op or will it all be online co-op as has been the trend as well? Let us all know down in the comments what you are thinking and then feel free to discuss.
