by Andy [ Saturday, 13th of September 2008 - 04:03 AM ]
So it seems that Microsoft/Woolworths has decided to drop the price for all of you UKers. This isn't 100% positive until the actual flyer comes out of course, but it would definitely make sense that they did, considering they dropped the price for the US and Japan. So now all of you who thought the xbox was too pricey may have to speak another tune. Hell, if you have an old version, you might as well upgrade to a nice elite. Read More…

Reality TV, Yet Another Low?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of September 2008 - 08:37 PM ]
MTV's official Rock Band 2 show!!! (Los Angeles) So, this is still rumor and has been posted only in a few places online as of late, but looking at the ad, it is most likely not a real one. But I thought I would post this due to the comic value of the concept and idea behind it. Why do I think it is a false one, because they ask you to email a GMail account instead of an official MTV account. Just me huh. Any ways, if you don't want to click in and haven't read the title bar, what I am talking about is that "MTV" wants to do a Rock Band 2 reality TV show. Read More…

Microsoft Flatters Nintendo
by Mana [ Monday, 8th of September 2008 - 09:14 PM ]
Yep you read the title right. It seems that Nintendo isn't upset at all over the Mii looking Avatars that Microsft released at E3. Instead Nintendo is actually flattered..weird right?  In this month's issue of Club Nintendo (Latin America equivalent of Nintendo Power) they talk to company president Reggie Fils-Aime about his thoughts on the Xbox Avatars, "Copying is a way of flattering, so we're very flattered," said Fils-Aime curtosy of a transltor. Since Nintendo's ever growing success with the Wii and its little Mii's everyone could assume when Microsft unveiled their Xbox Avatars at this years E3 in July that it was an obvious ploy to try and garner the same attention from a group of gamers that Nintendo has gotten the most attention from- The Casual Gamer. But has Microsoft forgotten about their core gamers who stood by their company despite the constant defects that their product had? Read More…

South Peak Interactive was on hand promoting the upcoming hack & slash game, entitled X-Blades.  It’s developed by Gaijin Entertainment & TopWare Interactive, and features a scantily clad main character, named Ayumi.  The basic premise of the game is a button masher with an attractive female protagonist.  I had been looking forward to this game for a long time, so I will share my impressions of the game with you.   It was a very easy game to pick up and just jumping in and having fun killing the monsters. LittleBigPlanet beta coming real soon
by Sam [ Thursday, 4th of September 2008 - 03:53 PM ]
PS3 owners may just get a chance to beta test the upcoming game LittleBigPlanet early this month. One of the devolopers on the Playstation Message Board, Sam_Protagonist, let everyone in on the details.     In terms of LittleBigPlanet, the game itself is all but complete however we're looking to run a test of the sharing, uploading, downloading and multiplayer server side of the game before it launches to ensure that under a large number of users it does everything it is supposed to. This kind of testing is often referred to as a Stress Test, however we're looking a little more deeply into the game experience than simply throwing thousands of players at the online side of the game at the same time. So, here's all the information you need regarding LBP's test. Read More…
