Mini Review: Resident Evil 5: Desperate Escape
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of April 2010 - 06:34 PM ]
This review has a few spoilers for Resident Evil 5 in it. This DLC takes place near the end of the game and talks about some major story parts. If you have yet to play Resident Evil 5 all the way through, you have been warned. Just when you think you have seen all you have of Resident Evil 5, Capcom adds in yet more to the story. Well at least they expand on the story by showing you what some of the other characters were up to while Chris and Sheva were off saving the world from the Zompocalypse. This time around, it is what happened to Josh, Sheva's militant mentor, and Jill Valentine, after you emancipate her from Wesker's mind control. Read More…

iPad Is For Gaming
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 2nd of April 2010 - 03:14 PM ]
The iPad as you have heard is being released April 3rd, 2010. The lines at the Apple store will be ridiculous, Apple is already struggling against the demand, and Steve Jobs is in a chair somewhere sitting in the dark watching his Apple TV and laughing at all the money he is making this weekend. As I have stated in previous articles, the iPhone format has already paved the way for more powerful mobile gaming, but now with the iPad (a larger iPhone) gamers can utilize the larger screen size and have a truly unique gaming experience. I bring this up because with the information overload about the iPad, EA and 2K Games have stated that they will be updating there iPhone games to be optimized for the iPad. EA's Command&Conquer: Red Alert and 2K's Civilization: Revolution are two very popular titles but are limited by the screen size of the iPhone. Read More…

Metroid Other M For Mouth Watering
by Andy [ Thursday, 1st of April 2010 - 10:24 PM ]
We have been waiting nearly a year now since the game was announced at E3 last year to see anything substantial from Metroid: Other M. Well we wait no more. Below is a new trailer that shows everything from cinematics to gameplay to control structure. Kind of a nice big reveal for everything surrounding Metroid: Other M. I do have issues believing that this game is on the Wii juist because of how nice everything looks. I mean look at the in-game action and tell me that doesn't look like something the Wii would never be able to pump out. Read More…

Games in a Flash - Revenge Of The Mouse
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 1st of April 2010 - 08:08 PM ]
Here we are again, on this Internet filled April Fools day. I'm sure you've probably killed your morning already looking at all the gags on all the websites from Gmail to Kodak. So while your already not working anyways, here are some games in Adobe Flash to contribute to your lack of work today. I thought to really add some flair, I would post games that only use the mouse to play! (I didn't want to make you work) Tactical Assassin This is an awesome first person shooter from Simon Hason and Negative Flash. Read More…

Dante's Inferno Getting All Saintly
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of April 2010 - 06:41 PM ]
In just under a month, the next batch of DLC for Dante's Inferno will be hitting XBox Live, and the PlayStation Network. It will be bringing two new modes with it, multiplayer and "build-your-own-challenge" mode. Also a few new enemies to add to the roster. Although I'm going to say that they are going to be slightly altered models from the main game with a new coat of paint. Look at the last DLC that came out. But this is of course information we all knew about from the start. Read More…

Halo Movie Has Cometh
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of April 2010 - 04:23 PM ]
That's right. You read the title right. IGN just posted the video that came along with the cryptic image of Master Chief that appeared yesterday (3/31/10). It wasn't the tease for a new game, but a live action Halo film. Oh yea. It's happening. Words can not sum up the epicness of this video. It even looks like it is going to sum up the entire game story perfectly. I mean, just from the below clip you can see how close they stay to the story. Just watch and enjoy. Read More…

Dead Space 2 Does Dark Void Right
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of April 2010 - 01:41 PM ]
So if you were at PAX East last week, or at least following the official Dead Space Twitter account, you might have had the chance to catch a glimpse of what is to bee seen of the Dead Space 2. Either by being in the conference room or via the live uStream of the event. But just in case you didn't get to catch it either way, or just don't want to sit through all the other stuff they talked about, here is the video of in-game footage. Not the best shot of the action, but it is something. Also not 22 minutes long. Read More…

Review: Groovin' Blocks
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of March 2010 - 05:55 PM ]
Finally another WiiWare game has made the hop from the smaller, power-wise, console to a larger one. I'm talking Wii to PS3 here. Which can be a huge step for some games to be ported over. The game in question here is Groovin' Blocks from Empty Clip Studios, a nice little Dr. Mario style game with a strong bass line to back up the gameplay. Back it up so much as it is part of the game play. How does the port over compare, well read on my curious friend. Read More…

PAX East: The Sight And Sounds
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 31st of March 2010 - 03:47 PM ]
If you were not able to make it to Boston for PAX East, do not worry that is why we were there. Some of the booths were so busy with people surrounding the screens, it was hard for me to even get a decent picture. But Michael and myself met a lot of people like Adelle from Gametopia, her husband Dan from Gametopia, Rich from Gametopia/Bitmob and some of the crew from Bitmob. As you can see from the Cosplay article there were a lot of strange creatures in the convention center, but there were a lot of nice people as well. Just my bad for forgetting to get a picture of the great people until it was too late. Read More…

Shank Cometh
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 31st of March 2010 - 01:41 PM ]
I've been following Shank for a while now, and I've been consistently impressed by the visuals and the style of the game. It's like a 2D explosion of sweetly animated vengeance carefully marinated in some of the craziest violence that does not include a certain Devil Who May Cry or Dual Wielding Busty Librarian Clothed In Her Own Hair. Developed by Klei Entertainment, makers of such downloadable goodness as Eets and N+, Shank has action to spare. Here is Shank killing a giant butcher. Read More…

Hackers Ruin The PS3 For Everyone?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 08:17 PM ]
The following words are my own opinions and not those of AggroGamer and its staff. A month or two ago, it was announced that someone had figured out how to crack the PS3 to allow for home-brews and "pirated"/backed up PS2 and PS3 games to be played on the system. It was not explained how for a week or two after the announcement that it could be done in a way that could not be patched. But this isn't the news here. The news here is that Sony, after stating it wouldn't, is going to force "Fat" PS3 owners to update so they can no longer install another OS on the system. Read More…

Little IncrediBig Planet
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 06:03 PM ]
There are few things more disarmingly cute than the sack population of LittleBigPlanet. They have had many "guests" come through their game, including the Pirates of the Carribean, the comedic antics of the Ghostbusters, the vengeance soaked Ezio from Assassin's Creed II, the borderline confusing narrative prowess of the Watchmen, the grizzled veterans of the Metal Gear Solid series, and many more. Well, coming April 8th Pixar is diving into the fray with The Incredibles pack for the LittleBigStore. The Playstation Blog proclaims, fairly proudly that, "This huge pack features NINE costumes: all of The Incredibles family (including a “Retro” Mr. Read More…

Rock Band Going To Metal Metal Land
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 03:50 PM ]
I knew it was going to be only a matter of time before the metal overlords known as GWAR made the move onto Rock Band. They hit up Guitar Hero already so why not move onto the Rock Band Network and spread their domination even further. Especially since Harmonix made it so much easier for bands to upload their songs to the network. Only a three week turn around most of the time, so they claim. There is no news on what songs or when the songs would most likely be seen, but from the interview performed at SXSW with lead singer/front man, Oderus Urungus, it looks to be in the works. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier In Real Life
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 01:40 PM ]
Looks like Ubisoft might be gearing up to go into feature films, or at least shorts sometime soon. First they do a live action short based on all the beginning story to Assassin's Creed II. Something that was produced very well and added quite a bit of extra content to the overall experience of the game. At least it did for me. But the Assassin's Creed short looks like it was just the tip of the iceberg for Ubisoft's short films. Read More…
