At this year's CES in Las Vegas, NV there was loads to show off in terms of hardware. At least as gaming consoles and gaming computers go. At first glance, Section 8 looks like a Halo wannabe. At second glance it looks like a Tribes wannabe. At third glance it looks like a Battlefield wannabe. I'm not saying that a game that plays like those 3 games would be bad (heck, it'd probably be the best online shooter ever), but Section 8 seems to be lackluster in areas that each of those 3 game excelled in. The problem with that is while that Section 8 may be a solid game, the fact is that people are going to be playing the other 3 games that it is trying to emulate. Well it's about time...Pyro Studios, creators of the famed Commandos series, is set to release a new Commandos game more in line with the first title in this WWII strategy franchise. Multiplayer: The Book Burning Generation The other night I was driving home at 1 am with the God of War soundtrack playing in the car. As the game music, with mixed in audio clips from the game, was playing through my car speakers, I began to think on how truly epic the story of this game was. Not epic as in awesome, even though it is, but more in lines of how it actually fell in line with the Epic writings of the Greeks. Think the Odyssey and Iliad for what I mean. Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Provides Financial Update This makes me very sad to say, but it looks like the original release date of Late October of this year is no longer for BioShock 2. In fact a solid release date is no longer anywhere attached to BioShock 2 any more. Just a time frame. A year long time frame at that too. With only the excuse of needing to take extra time to give towards development time for the title.
