On Call With Split/Second

This past Friday we were able to join in on the conference call for Split/Second, the upcoming game from Disney and Blackrock Studios. Visiting Rapture One More Time

After reading the Brian G article on DLC, I bring to you another DLC in the works from 2K Games that they will be releasing; The next BioShock 2 DLC called Rapture Metro Pack. This add-on will be available for the XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Here is some of the details that will be included in the next DLC. Arkham Asylum 2 To Be 'Darker' In Tone

Thanks to 1up.com for reporting on a Chicago Comic-Con panel that long time Batman voice Kevin Conroy was speaking at. Conroy has reportedly said that Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 will be "really really dark" and that legendary, iconic villain, Two Face, will be making an appearance. I say awesome. I, like everyone else, loved everything about the first Batman: Arkham Asylum and I feel it speaks really well that an unknown newcomer like Rocksteady Games can rock our worlds with the first good Batman game ever (and a rare piece of quality licensed work). Its nice to see them not only expand deeper into the Batman universe, but also do so with the finely polished third person gameplay the market had not seen in a long while. This is still just a rumor and based of sources from Destructoid. I'm not one to post a bunch of rumors. I hate when they are good ones and then they end up being false or a joke started to get views. I really hate it. But this is a rumor that I think most of the fans of 2K Games would go ballistic over if it was made to be a joke or for publicity. Saw 2 Is Going To Be An Eye Opener

The Saw movie franchise has been known to truck out a new film every Halloween, and has so for the seventh year in a row. That is when Saw VII comes out this year that is. But now it looks like it is going to go down that path with the video game version of the psychological killer storyline. Yes, it has been announced that Saw 2 is in the works. 38 Studios Finds A Publisher With EA

38 Studio's just announced that it has signed an agreement with Electronic Arts to publish their first title, which is not their MMO. 38 Studios, LLC is the enterprise of Curt Schilling (World Series MVP) and the creative minds of R.A. Salvatore (of Drizzt fame) and Todd McFarlane (Spawn anyone?) . 38 Studios has been working on an epic fantasy title code named 'Project Mercury', under the watchful eye of Ken Rolston, known best for being the lead designer of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Founded in 2006 by Schilling and acquired Big Huge games in 2009 which are best known for their work on Civilization II, Colonization, and Alpha Centauri. Read More...

The time has finally come for us all to head back into Rapture and see what has transpired since the fall of Andrew Ryan and get some questions answered. Is the city still standing up well? Have the splicers died off? What happened to those pesky ADAM filled Little Sisters? All kinds of questions that we were left to wonder when escaping from the underwater city in the first BioShock. The Story: Picking up almost ten years after Jack escaped from Rapture, BioShock 2 starts you out in a similar WTF moment forcing the start of the game. You just kind of wake up as a Big Daddy and have only clouded memories on what the hell is going on. Read More...

Big Daddy Got Wood!

Ever been so obsessed with a game or character that you needed to draw them or have it everywhere? Myself, I have anime, Super Sentai stuff on my PC, PSP Go, toys (or in Mike's case, dolls), etc. Well this Japanese man takes things to a whole new level as he takes the time to carve out a nearly life size wooden statue of Big Daddy from BioShock. In this nearly ten minute video, you will see how much detail this Japanese Jason took to create Big Daddy. I could not imagine how long it probably took him to finish the project, but needless to say it is worth a watch. Read More...

Today was the first day of the X10 conference in San Fransisco. X10 is an invite only event at the Terra Station in San Fransisco, where Microsoft gets to show off all things XBox 360. Get All Cuddly With Big Daddy

We've seen the BioShock 2 Launch Trailer or seen the ending that teased the sequel oh so long ago. In these trailers you may have spotted something that the Little Sister was carrying around. A nice little plush doll, made from random junk from Rapture, fashioned to look just like her Big Daddy savior. If you haven't seen it, then watch one of those videos and you will understand what I am talking about. 3G Studios just announced that they would be crafting a first person "social shooter" for Facebook, arguably the most popular social networking site on the net. It seemed like this was in the making, the idea of a Facebook as a platform for more robust content (i.e. something a little more in-depth than say Farmville or Mafia Wars). As more and more companies seek to establish a presence on sites like Facebook, like EA staking their claim for instance by picking up Playfish, this seemed like a natural progression. It almost seems like it has been ages since the first BioShock came out and rocked the gaming world and Survival Horror and FPS genres. With deep intriguing story and creepy as fuck visuals and audio. All wrapping up into what seemed like a nice ending to it all. Well at least if you didn't see the continuation video that did more than just tease BioShock 2. Then after that, we had to wait almost two more years to get the sequel we fans were all hoping for. BioShock 2 Shows Us How To Use The Scout Plasmid

During your play through of BioShock, didn't you always wish there was a way to Scout out what was going on in the next room? Wouldn't have been nice to be able to do that and also set up or actually attack enemies in the next room so they were weaker before kicking down the door for the attack? I know I would have saved a few deaths if I was able to do that. Actually screaming out "I wish I could [insert what I said above]" when I died. Not really, but I can picture it in my head.
