Star Wars The Star Wars universe is racing further into our homes this October with the release date for Star Wars: Galactic Racer The engines are starting to gear up, as we now have a solid release date for Star Wars: Galactic Racer on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While it might not be the title so many fans have been wanting the galaxy so far away, it is what Fuse Games and Secret Mode have been working on to bring us some of the races that we experienced back in the day. Kart Racer A new Kart Racer title has been announced with Nickelodeon Kart Racers where we will get to do just that with all of our favorite cartoon characters If you were thinking this October was missing out on some genre of video game to enjoy, you are right and it looks like Nickelodeon Kart Racers is there to fill that void. Today, Disney Interactive Studios announced today that the demo for their upcoming action racer Split/Second is now available for download on XBox LIVE. Developed by the award winning Black Rock Studio, Split/Second will be exclusively for XBox LIVE until May 11th. After the 11th, it will be available for the PlayStation Network. The demo will allow players to experience the Airport Terminal level where players will race through a fictional airport terminal taking out opponents by triggering events, such as bringing down the air traffic control tower and piloting a cargo plane remotely. The Debut Trailer For ModNation Racers Since E3, there hasn't been much talked about this new IP from United Front Games. It was a sneak hit during the Sony E3 Briefing and shown a little bit, in trailer form, around their booth. After that, it has fallen off the radar from all gaming sites, even here at Aggrogamer. But that is not to say that it has completely been scrapped and forgotten. Racing titles are ever-evolving. With the intoduction of the open world to the genre, it has seemed that subsequent titles especially after Burnout Paradise have followed suit. While Burnout Paradise was a glowing example of the open world mechanic done right, many of the games it has inspired have been less-than-stellar entries to their respective franchises. The latest evidence of this is Need for Speed Underground. While it aspires to be a “thrilling”, open exercise in evading the cops and rising above the ranks, it falls short in a number of ways, making the other racing contenders available right now the better choice, most definitely.
