Ermac Is Here To Corrupt Mortal Kombat X Now…In A Good Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Ermac is the next character to be announced for Mortal Kombat X via the Kombat Kast #2 today and we have some gameplay Keeping to their promise NetherRealm has given us our next character reveal for Mortal Kombat X this week and it is Ermac. I was thinking Noob Saibot given some of the hints thrown out there on the internet but it looks like I was a bit off. None the less though now we have Ermac to look at for Mortal Kombat X and not just an announcement but a look at his variations and gameplay for one. All of this of course lifted from the Mortal Kombat Kast where the developers showed all of this off to the world for equal footing. Read More...

Now Here's How You Solo Monsters In Evolve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
New gameplay for Evolve has been released showing off how the game will handle when you are offline and playing solo If for some reason you want to play Evolve only in solo mode then you will love the new video that Turtle Rock has for us. We have two good matches played from both sides of the fight in Evolve all in solo mode. Yes, you can play as only the Monster or you can play as the hunters all in offline solo mode. That of course is nothing new as it has been drilled in but with all the amazing online modes, gameplay, and betas for the online mode we all might have forgotten that. Read More...

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Is What Quantic Dream Was Teasing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is being released for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android as well as looks like the big tease that Quantic Dream and Aspyr had for us Remember last week when we brought up the tease that Quantic Dream had for us for this week? Well it turns out my second thought on what was being teased was pretty much spot on as we have Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered coming out tomorrow (1/29/15) for PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS with an Android version to follow sometime soon. So I guess it is much less a tease than it is an announcement with extremely little lead in time for anyone out there to clear out their backlog a bit to give Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered a solid play through. I guess all of the fans of the franchise won't care about something like that though and will just throw their $9. Read More...

Reptile Slithers Into The Mortal Kombat X Roster
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of January 2015 - 06:01 PM ]
Reptile has been confirmed for Mortal Kombat X now and we have a nice little trailer showing off the lizard kombatant melting faces We have the first of two new characters for Mortal Kombat X to be revealed this week and it is Reptile. Yet another character that you would have been a no-brainer for NetherRealm to add into the Mortal Kombat X mix and now we have it confirmed. Not only confirmed but a bit in motion and showing off some great new moves as well as a literal face melting opening for a fatality. Why we only get the opening for these fatalities is still a little bit of a mystery for me but I'd assume that it is to try and keep 1. Read More...

Here's Everything You Need To Know About Evolve If You Didn't Know
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Evolve has been released to show anyone not in the know all of the ins and outs of Evolve's gameplay By now most of us should have a good grasp on Evolve and how the game is going to handle as well as a bit on the story for the game. We've had multiple betas and a plethora of videos from Turtle Rock so if you are out of the loop then you might have been under one of those rocks that the Goliath throws. I really don't know what other reason there could be as even on this site we've covered a lot on Evolve and I know we are not the only ones doing it. I wouldn't be surprised if you did a basic Google search with "Evolve" as the only string and not getting some results. Read More...

Two Characters Fully Revealed For Mortal Kombat X… & Goro
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X shows off two characters, Kitana & Kung Lao, as well as a tease for the pre-order bonus We all kind of knew that Kung Lao was coming to Mortal Kombat X when early shots from a gaming magazine hit the web at the beginning of this year. Now we have a new gameplay trailer and we get to see not only Kung Lao in action but the return of Kitana in this next iteration of the franchise. She is another character that I figured would be gracing us again in Mortal Kombat X but now we have the official showing as well as the ability to see her in action. That includes at least a small look at one of her new fatalities for Mortal Kombat X. Read More...

We Have A Behemoth Of A Reveal For Evolve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
The Evolve Monster for the expansion pack has been named, revealed, and shown why bigger is always better I thought we were going to have to wait much longer to finally see the fourth monster for Evolve to be announced and detailed. This would be the monster that we were all asked to help name and we might be able to see something shortly after the launch of the game next month. I guess the name was the last thing that Turtle Rock needed to finalize the new monster as here we go with the announcement of the DLC monster coming for all who pre-order. I'm sure it will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One sometime after launch but as of now that is how you get a hold of this new monster. Read More...

The PC Specs Needed To Make Evolve Look Evolved
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of January 2015 - 08:01 PM ]
Turtle Rock Studios have released the PC specs for Evolve so you can be sure it looks amazing next month Hopefully you were able to get in on the latest Evolve beta over the weekend and have helped 2K and Turtle Rock make sure that their servers are going to handle the massive amounts of traffic on February 10th. If you were not then that sucks and my condolences. If you were able to get the hook up for the PC version of the beta then hopefully it has looked rather decent for you. Read More...

Evolve Big Alpha Beta Retrospective
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Friday, 9th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Evolve is set shaping up to be the game of the year… perhaps one of the best games of the decade. I was able to participate in the Big Alpha and I thoroughly enjoyed playing. Turtle Rock Studios known best as the creator of the Left 4 Dead is set to release their new game Evolve on February 10th, 2015. Until then though they held the Big Alpha giving some people the chance to experience the game. Needless to say it was some of the most fun I've had playing a game in a while. Read More...

In Time For The Next Evolve We Have The Intro Cinematic
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
The Evolve intro cinematic has been released online to get all those hunters read for the next big beta on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC In only a few more days we will all be helping Turtle Rock and 2K test out those servers for Evolve. Hopefully you were in on the Big Alpha so you had a nice easy time getting set up for the next beta for the Xbox One or the server stress test for the PS4 and PC. If not good luck and keep an eye out for a whole bunch of new gameplay to be hitting after the beta is over as we are now moving closer to the launch of Evolve. With that close at hand we not only do we get those aforementioned beta/stress tests but a nice new video for those who are not going to be able to take part in the fun. Read More...

Straight Out Of CES Comes The LyteShot Kickstarter
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
LyteShot, a new gaming platform, was shown off at CES 2015 and has had its Kickstarter campaign kicked off This may be the first time you've heard of LyteShot but I've heard a few things and had the pleasure of seeing things up close and personal at CES here this week. Nothing in action outside of the below Kickstarter video for the gaming platform but if you can use your imagination, as the platform wants, then you can see how this could be the next great addition to gaming; both video and physical. If you follow along here you may get to understand and have a hand in bringing the whole thing to light. Pun intended. Read More...

Is Limbo Coming To The PS4?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
A listing on the PEGI website may have confirmed a PS4 version of the popular indie title Limbo, not through PlayStation Now Hopefully by now you've at least heard of Limbo. Not the place of nothingness in popular religious mythologies but the video game. It is a fun little title from Playdead and has been named as one of the best indie titles for some time now. Limbo has seen a release on many different platforms ranging from the PC to the Xbox 360 to the PS Vita to the PS3. According to a recent listing on the PEGI website it looks like it may be adding the PS4 to that list and not through the use of PlayStation Now as one might have been thinking already. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 3rd of January 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Hopefully this will be the last of the slow weeks for video games here. At least in the news side of things. We do have CES rolling out here in under a week so we may get to see some of the great new gadgets, audio devices, and video displays that will impress us when we get to play Mortal Kombat X and The Witcher 3 later this year. We'll be all over that next week for your reading and hopefully viewing pleasure. Until then, let us focus on those video games that we can look at now. Read More...

Project Scissors Gets Its First Live Action Teaser Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Project Scissors, the spiritual sequel to Clock Tower, has had its first live action teaser released to show the theme and mood of the final game Fans of the Clock Tower franchise may be familiar with the upcoming Project Scissors title coming soon. It is pretty much the "spiritual sequel" to the franchise. How it is only going to be a "spiritual" sequel instead of an actual sequel is beyond me as Project Scissors is being made by the same guy who directed the original series; but that is me just splitting hairs when we don't need to. Especially since we have the first trailer for Project Scissors just a bit below. Read More...

Kung Lao Confirmed For Mortal Kombat X Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
In an early copy of a Finnish magazine it has been confirmed that Kung Lao will be joining the roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat X Just like the Kano "leak" for Mortal Kombat X it looks like print media has given us a look at Kung Lao before the official announcement from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. may have wanted. This magazine being a Finnish gaming magazine, Pelaaja, and thus translated by a Mortal Kombat fan site for us all. Read More...
