by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Star Wars The Ewoks are coming to Star Wars Battlefront II as a new playable race so you can further relive some scenes from Star Wars’ past Another race of characters are coming to Star Wars Battlefront II and also bringing a new gameplay mode along with them. At least for a limited time, but we will ignore that for now as DICE is bringing us all the Ewoks to the game and with them a new mode called Ewok Hunt. All of which will be hitting Star Wars Battlefront II on April 18th for the low price of free. Well at least if you already own the core game on the PC, PS4, or Xbox One before or during the time this limited event runs. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
God Of War The difficulty settings for God Of War are back and we get to see how they will add an extra level of challenge to God Of War when we play Long-time fans of God Of War always have loved challenging themselves and other on playing the game at some insane difficulties. They are offered up by the dev team for a reason and they are there to make the whole experience a bit more challenging. Staying true to form, Santa Monica Studio is keeping with this element in the new God Of War and now we know how hard the game could be to beat. Overkill’s The Walking Dead Next Character Is Here To Break Hearts
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The next character for Overkill’s The Walking Dead game has a new trailer to see and it shows another darker side in the world of The Walking Dead It is time to add another character to Overkill’s The Walking Dead and here we go with Maya. Just like the last character that we were shown from Overkill, it is all done through a very cinematic manner and not through any real gameplay to look at. Not that I am going to complain as this one certainly embodies The Walking Dead universe with another tragic survival story told without any words but actions. More or less, the backstory of Maya that we can look to experience when we get to finally play the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this Fall. Read More...

God Of War Will Have You Playing Your Version Of Kratos
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War A new developer diary for God Of War is here to show a bit more the customization in God Of War and how it affects gameplay When the pre-order options for God Of War started to pop up we all had our first look at how we may be able to customize Kratos in the new game hitting us on April 20th. At first, it all looked cosmetic and a nice little extra to change up Kratos' look as Santa Monica Studio has done in past titles. Then it was revealed that there was going to be more than just a little bit of style and look with this "gear system" in God Of War and that there would be some kind of change outside of just cosmetic. God Of War’s May Also Be A Bit Different Than We Knew Before
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War The new God Of War is bringing many changes to the franchise and here is how the score for God Of War has been changed up to give more authenticity One of the things that God Of War has always been known for, outside of the insane violence to the Gods, has been the score and music that accompanies the game. It sets the mood in many cases or emphasizes what Santa Monica Studio was going for in the scene. Think back to any version of the God Of War franchise and I think you will be hard-pressed to find a scene that did not have some level of music with it to set the mood. Read More...

More Gameplay For God Of War To Show Off Trolls, Exploration, And More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War Even more gameplay for God Of War is here and brings us a new look at the Trolls in God Of War as well as how some of the exploration will play out Each day April 20th gets a bit closer and that means we get a bit closer to having the chance to play God Of War on the PS4. Even with all of the parts of the game that Santa Monica Studio has shown us for the game; it still feels like there is still so much that we have yet to experience. The way that these kinds of marketing campaigns should work. Give us just enough to have a great idea on what we are going into with God Of War here but leave out so much that the game still feels completely new once we hit the title screen. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 3/26/18 — 3/30/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of March 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more solid week of video games in the bag. I really need to find a better way to wrap this all up each week. Nonetheless, it has been another fun week with pretty much all highs for the week. We had a whole lot of new information for God Of War and we had a chance to see that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is making the leap over to the Xbox One now. We also had a nice big gameplay dump for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden that showed us just how awesome that game is shaping up to be. Read More...

God Of War’s Leviathan Axe Has More To It Than Meets The Eye
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
God Of War Even more details for God Of War’s Leviathan Axe has been revealed with all of the other ways it changes God Of War’s combat system we are getting If you have not seen enough of God Of War’s new weapon and combat style, then get ready for a bit more. It is going to be driven home insanely well before the game hits the PS4 on April 20th. At least if these videos that Santa Monica Studio keeps putting out there for the game have anything to say about it. That is the bigger chunk of what we have here again for God Of War, as you most likely guessed by now, but it also does look like there were a few things we had yet to be told mixed in this time. Learn How To Fight Like Kratos In The New God Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
God Of War A new behind the scenes video for God Of War is here to show us just how we can fight like Kratos from God Of War… or at least fake it… More from behind the scenes of God Of War is here as we have yet another motion capture video showing off how the team is making the game as life-like as possible. No, it does not look like Santa Monica Studios is doing anything that has not been done before in modern video games, but we at least get to see how some of the big attacks and combos we will be performing ad nauseam were digitized. Weirdly, none of it looks to have been done at all by the actual actor for Kratos and Atreus in God Of War, but it does look like all of the rage and anger will carry over. Read More...

See Dying Light: Bad Blood In Action For A Little Bit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Dying Light New gameplay for Dying Light: Bad Blood is here and it gives us a small taste of where this battle royale mode for Dying Light is currently at Not too long ago we heard about Dying Light: Bad Blood and what it was going to be bringing to the base game in terms of keeping up with all of those other titles out there. Not too surprising, it was the answer to the Battle Royale craze that is going on from Techland but also set in their zombie "shooter" that has had quite some staying power over the last few years. The core Dying Light hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC three years ago and players are still deeply involved in it. Read More...

Rumor Mill: Borderlands 3 May Get A Full Reveal At E3 & Release In September
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 27th of March 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Borderlands A new video and bit of information for Borderlands 3 has popped up and it points to a reveal of Borderlands 3 this June and a possible release date Update Confirmed To Be Fake Despite seeming to be backed by convincing evidence, the Borderlands 3 leak has turned out as a fake. Last year, around this same time, Gearbox showed us a little bit of what could potentially be a Borderlands 3 game. It was a tech demo to show off the work the team has done with the engine they are working in and how far the visuals could be pushed; even with this art style. Read More...

Welcome To Georgetown In Overkill’s The Walking Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of March 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead A new look at Overkill’s The Walking Dead title is here and they take us further into some of the environments inspired by The Walking Dead universe Just a bit more for Overkill’s The Walking Dead title has been placed out there in the mix of the very little we all have had so far. It is still scheduled to release this Fall for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC but Overkill and Starbreeze have not truly given us all much to go on. It is set in The Walking Dead universe, most likely the comics, and also takes place where the core of that story is held. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 3/19/18 — 3/23/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of March 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Put one more of those weeks of video games in the bag again, as we have come to a close yet again. Just for this week and not for good that is. With all kinds of news and updates out there. Although, it did seem to favor God Of War and Far Cry 5 more than anything. We did get to see the DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole launch and more for Detroit: Become Human, but those other two video games sure took up a whole lot of time this week. Read More...
