This Week In Video Games 4/23/18 — 4/27/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of April 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is one more week of video games in the bag and it was, as we assumed, a little on the light side of things. I do not think anyone really wanted to go up against the power of God Of War. Well, except Tomb Raider that just had a nice new reveal for the game. It was more on the smaller or indie video games for the week but we did get to see that Jurassic World Evolution will be bringing a bit more of the franchise with it and more for Detroit: Become Human. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Is Revealed & Gets A Littler Darker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider The reveal trailer for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here and it looks like we are going to see a darker Tomb Raider with this one The day is here and we now have the first real reveal for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider to get us all amped for. Sure the game was officially announced by Eidos-Montréal a while back, but this is the first video reveal that Square Enix has for the public. I state it that way as it is only a pre-rendered video we have for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider while select few in a few select locations have had the true chance to give the current version of the game a whole. Given that it is still slated to release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 14th it would be a bit safe to assume it is in a decent place to get a good preview. Read More...

11-11: Memories Retold Will Be Taking Us On A Different Ride Through WWI
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Memories Retold The official announcement for 11-11: Memories Retold is here and 11-11: Memories Retold aims to take us on a new gaming experience during World War I We have another World War I era game coming at us as 11-11: Memories Retold has been announced and heading to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC at some point. This would be the latest collaboration between DigixArt and Bandai Namco, but the basics of what we have so far may not be exactly what you are thinking as most WWI games are shooters. That is not to say that 11-11: Memories Retold could not be one, details are still sparse for the game, but as of right now it is announced and claimed to be a story-driven narrative adventure in the era with a unique painted art style. Stormdivers Has Been Given The Announcement Treatment
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Stormdivers A new title, Stormdivers, has been announced and there is very little to go on for Stormdivers outside of how the game may look at the end If you were a fan of Resogun and/or Matterfall, then get ready for Housemarque’s next title as they have announced Stormdivers. This is a new multiplayer-centric title that will be using the power of the Unreal Engine to bring us the gameplay and make the game look just as nice as we can imagine. I know that when I hear that, and given the current craze, it sounds like Stormdivers may be their attempt at a Battle Royale title. Given that they have been working on this title in secret for two years now, though, I am also on the fence of thinking that it is not and anything multiplayer now is just going to be lumped into the Battle Royale pool until we all see differently. Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor — Martyr Has Been Delayed
by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 19th of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Warhammer Delays have hit Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor — Martyr to make sure that the title is able to bring all of the Warhammer fun to all platforms at the same time May 11th will no longer be a day that you can expect to see Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor — Martyr hit the PS4, Xbox One, or PC as the game has now been delayed. Sadly it looks like the team over at Neocore Games ran into an issue with getting all versions of the game up to snuff, with the consoles falling behind, and now we have to wait until June 5th for the game. Just a bit longer than proposed, but we will at least still be getting this Diablo-like title set in the Warhammer 40K universe still. Read More...

Live Out Many Of Those Secret Agent Fantasies With Defector
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Defector A new VR game is coming, Defector, that will try and let you live out the secret agent lifestyle and try not to be a Defector Get ready to be able to live out some of those cray spy movie fantasies as a new VR title is coming to give you just that and it is called Defector. Probably not the best of names to go with for a title that aims to do the whole spy thing, but maybe Twisted Pixel has some great hidden gems in there to make sense of it all. They generally are good at that and maybe Defector does not point at the character we are playing and that of who were are hunting down or trying to find. I am getting off topic now as the speculation wheels are turning. Read More...

Spyro Reignited Trilogy Is A Rumor No More & Coming This September
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Spyro Official word has come down that Spyro Reignited Trilogy is coming to us all and will house the first three Spyro titles in remastered form Rumor no more as Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been announced and will be the nice big remastered package of these original games for us all. Most of the rumors we had heard so far have been about spot on, except that the games are being remastered by Toys For Bob instead. It will house the first three Spyro titles all rebuilt from the ground up and coming at us in the HD quality that the PS4 and Xbox One can currently push out there. It is not mentioned directly by Activision, but I am guessing it will be 1080p for the base models of the consoles and 4K for the Pro and X versions of the systems. Read More...

Review — Q.U.B.E. 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Q.U.B.E. We sit down and review Q.U.B.E. 2. The puzzles and story continues as we try to make heads and tails of things. Here is our review of Q.U.B.E. 2 It is time to head back into the weirdness and puzzles with Q.U.B.E. 2. The sequel, obviously, to the last title that Toxic Games brought us that introduced us to some weird new puzzles to solve with the use of special cubes. Cubes that we bring to life with our special suit and granted through various other means. I know I particularly loved the first Q. Read More...

Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden’s First Gameplay Is Here To Bring Us In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of March 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Mutant Year Zero The first gameplay demo for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden is here and it gives us a lot more to go on for Mutant Year Zero than we could have hoped for Earlier in the month we saw Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden get all announced and everything but only had a cinematic trailer to go on to get a feel for what the game would truly be bringing. It looked amazing, but from the description that came with it, it did not feel like the same game that The Bearded Ladies were working on and aiming to give us. Not in a bad way, but the description was more tactical-adventure while the video looked more plain adventure in a weird setting. Read More...

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Is Officially Announced & Coming This Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of March 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider Just in time for the new Tomb Raider film to hit theaters, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider has been officially announced and coming this year for all platforms It looks like we can put most of the rumors to rest as Shadow Of The Tomb Raider has been officially announced and let loose on the world. At least in the most teaser of ways as Eidos-Montréal and Square Enix are still holding off on the full reveal of the game until April 27th. They still needed to work with the hype of the new Tomb Raider film, so it makes sense that they would make this announcement now and not wait until the film is no longer anywhere out there. This Week In Video Games 3/5/18 — 3/9/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 10th of March 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Time to put another week of video games in the bag and look back at what happened this week. It was a pretty big one for a few franchises out there as Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 and The Division 2 where given the announcements and the hype for Far Cry 5 is hitting some heights. We also had a chance to see a few smaller titles get some new updates as we had more to see for A Plague Tale: Innocence and The Beast Inside this week as well. I will take all of that and more for our video games for sure. Read More...

Review — Bridge Constructor Portal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of March 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Portal We sit down and review Bridge Constructor Portal. It is all the fun of building bridges and the humor of Portal. Here is our review of Bridge Constructor Portal It can always be fun when we get mash-up video games out there that take two IPs and combine them into one and that is what Bridge Constructor Portal is here to do. The name here says it all as Headup Games aims to bring the game over to the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch for the first time to get us all into building bridges and then hoping for another Portal game to release. Staying on topic though, here we go with Bridge Constructor Portal as it has come out and is available for all. Read More...

The Division It looks like The Division 2 is officially coming at us soon as we now have the announcement that The Division 2 is in the works and building from the past Fans of The Division will be glad to see that after two years of fun they are finally going to be getting The Division 2. Yes, it has been announced and heading to us at some point and from Massive Entertainment again. There is no word on when, but know that The Division 2 is definitely coming and with an upgraded version of the Snowdrop engine and with all the lessons learned from the last two years of The Division. Get Ready For A New Tactical-Adventure With Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of March 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Mutant Year Zero A new tactical-adventure game, Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden, has been announced and Mutant Year Zero aims to bring us a unique take on the post-human Earth We had a nice tease a few weeks back from Funcom that they were working on something new and now it looks like the cat is out of the bag as Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden has been announced and coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2018. At least it is safe to assume that this was what they were teasing even if they are not directly developing it like other titles in their wheelhouse. That part is being done by The Bearded Ladies, a team that consists of some pretty talented people from many of our favorite past titles like HITMAN and PAYDAY. Read More...
