by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of July 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go and finish out his week with a few of those stragglers that we out there from the previous big weeks for all of these video games. Not to say that we did not have some good ones here, but after loads were blown during E3, it usually dries up and we have to go about picking up the rest of the pieces out there. Like for Pathfinder, Chernobylite and Doom Eternal. They did have some great showings during the event but these following weeks will always be a bit slower for the big news in video games. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of June 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That wraps up more of the news and updates for this week and all of the other video games we had out of this year's E3. We barely had a chance to get to all of them, but we did get to make a dent into the over 180 titles that did get the highlight during the event. Blood Bowl 3 Puts All Of The Elves Out On The Field Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Blood Bowl The next Blood Bowl team spotlight is here with the Elven Union taking the stage for Blood Bowl 3 now Another team is getting tossed out there for Blood Bowl 3 here and now we have the Elven Union taking the field to show off more of what they can do. Just as the name of the team implies, this is the one that is filled with all of those pesky elves with Cyanide giving them a little more grace instead of brutality in the mix. Not that they will not have any of that, this is a Blood Bowl game, but it definitely looks like they will be able to out-maneuver most out there that they come across. That will, obviously, come with its own drawbacks but depending on the style of player you are it can be mitigated. Read More...

Night Book Teases Us All With A Bit Of A Real World Mystery To Solve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Night Book A new FMV game, Night Book, was teased during this year's E3 with Night Book showing off what remote work can accomplish Here we go with another one of the great FMV style video games getting teased and poised to hit us with Night Book. This would be one of the next titles that Wales Interactive and Good Gate Media will be bringing to us on all of the platforms out there when it does hit. It also happened to be a small thing to slip out there during E3 this year that might have gone unnoticed for a bit. We spotted it, and given how the same style of games we have seen from them before Night Book have been our jam, it is time to take a look at this one. Read More...

The Medium Is Finally Opening Up To The PS5 Realm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of June 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Medium The Medium has been announced for the PS5 now and we will be able to head into the dual-worlds of The Medium again As if we could not see it coming beforehand, it looks like The Medium is finally making the leap from the Xbox Series X and PC to head over to the PS5. This was one of the smaller announcements that slipped out during E3 this year from Bloober Team and it should be something to excite us all just a bit more. It was another great entry from the developer before when it hit us and now on September 3rd, we will get to experience the dual-world mechanics and maybe with a few new features along the way. They are looking to use the features of the DualSense controller for The Medium to mix in a few things we did not get before; they just are not fully listed as of yet. Read More...

Back 4 Blood Will Be Offering Up Some PvP In A Familiar Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood Back 4 Blood will have a PvP mode mixed in for us all to take the horrors of Back 4 Blood on the attack Given the team working on Back 4 Blood, it was easy to assume that we could be seeing some form of PvP in the mix at some point. When it came to other titles from Turtle Rock, it took a bit and came post-launch. It looks like we are not going to have to wait further than October 12th for that to hit Back 4 Blood, though, as it was announced during E3 that we will be seeing a PvP mode in the mix of it all then. That would be the launch date for the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Read More...

The Hunt Will Soon Be On With The Announcement For Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Bloodhunt The Bloodhunt has been called as we have the official announcement for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt to join the Battle Royale genre The World Of Darkness is spreading out there just a bit more with the latest announcement that Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt is coming and bringing more Vampire fun to PC gamers out there. Not in a way that many have been waiting for in the vein of Bloodlines, but this one is a new Battle Royale game from Sharkmob that will place us in the role of our own Vampire out to survive the night. Not in a way that VTM players might be assuming with the name of Bloodhunt here, but in a way that is slightly close to the Second Inquisition. Read More...

Blood Bowl 3 Places The Imperial Nobility On The Field
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Blood Bowl The next team for Blood Bowl 3 is here to be highlighted as we bear up for the coming Blood Bowl beta The next team is ready to take the fields and cause all kinds of mayhem for the coming Blood Bowl 3 here. This time it is the Imperial Nobility to take on those Black Orcs and the various other teams we have yet to have confirmed here from Cyanide. Given that there is now a closed beta in the works that we can sign up for, I have a feeling we will see more of these soon too. For now, we have our second confirmed team for Blood Bowl 3 and a nice new video to take us through what they are all about and the various members of the roster of it all. Read More...

Meet Your Cleaners Coming To Clear The Ridden In Back 4 Blood
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood The characters we will have in Back 4 Blood are highlighted in the latest trailer showing them do what they do best in Back 4 Blood It might sound a bit off, but the cleaners are lined up for our inspection for Back 4 Blood so we can start to work on our gameplay strategies. To clarify, this would be the description given to us for the character classes we will have as they are referred to in the game universe. Given the fact that they are out there trying to clean up the world from the "Ridden" in Back 4 Blood, it makes a bit of sense but not something we generally use when it comes to gameplay elements. The same goes for how Turtle Rock is bringing these infected to us too. Read More...

Review — Layers Of Fear VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear We sit down and review Layers Of Fear VR. The creepy walking-sim is back in the virtual space again. Here is our review of Layers Of Fear VR It seems like so long ago that we had the original Layers Of Fear made a splash and offer us all a new way to go about some of the horrors out there. It was not the bigger title that did all of this, but it was a smash hit and delight to see what Bloober Team was trying to do with the genre and ways to offer up horror to the gaming fans. Then we cut forward a few years and after the big VR crazy hit, and now we have Layers Of Fear VR. Read More...

Layers Of Fear 2 Is Dropping Onto The Switch Here Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear Get ready to take Layers Of Fear on the move again with Layers Of Fear 2 hitting the Switch in just about a week from now It may have taken a little bit of time, but it does look like the Switch will soon be able to hop in on the horrors of Layers Of Fear 2 here. Not the biggest of issues as it did hit fairly hard when Bloober Team dropped it out there before and on May 20th you will be able to add it to the growing list of titles on the new platform to enjoy. Hopefully, this will help them to bring us all another entry into the Layers Of Fear line or maybe for the game to hit us in other ways as we have seen the original do over the years. That is always the hope when it comes to titles that do feel like they add into the industry and do not go with the normal flow of it all and just one more title to play and toss aside. Read More...
