How Would Dying Light Look In Real Life?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Ampisound made a cool POV parkour run for Dying Light to show how the daily grind could look in the real world With Dying Light just a few weeks from launch, I swear I use that phrase too often, we should be ready for more of those PR and Marketing campaigns to pump us up about the release here. Just as to be expected with any free-running or parkour title we have another group, Ampisound, producing a real life run of Dying Light in POV perspective. This would be the same group that have done the Mirror's Edge videos but not the Assassin's Creed videos. Hopefully that sorts out things for those confused on who would be running in this Dying Light promo. Read More...

New Year And New Things To Do In Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
There is a New Year's trailer for Dying Light and we have a bit more gameplay and features shown off with it It's a new year and it is time for some new stuff for Dying Light. Well at least in a fun little way of New Year's resolutions and a bit of extra gameplay. We are now under a month from release of Dying Light so hopefully we are going to get something to add to the parkour zombie killing fun coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If we are to speculate on the following trailer we could be getting some simple little side games outside of the core. If the above image and the following trailer are to be believed for Dying Light then are we going to get some fishing action in the mix? Read More...

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays From All Your Game Devs
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We've collected some of the random virtual Christmas Cards and holiday well wishes from developers and publishers for you Ho ho homicide has to have been one of the best Christmas greetings I have yet to see from a video game studio or publisher this holiday season and I've seen quite a few over the last few days. Tis the season that all of those who make our favorite form of media to try and give back to all of those who keep their families fed. Or at least try to for those who are most likely going to cry and whine to their parents if they didn't get the latest Blizzard expansion or the pre-orders for all of those games coming out next year. We have a new interactive trailer for Dying Light that allows you to wade through the zombie hordes way before release date from your PC If you can't wait until January to play a mission for Dying Light then you are a bit in luck. While you will not be picking up a controller or controlling the main character directly, Techland and Warner Bros. are hooking us up with a cool interactive trailer to play through. We've seen these many times over in the past so it isn't anything new as far as marketing but it does let us choose our own adventure in Dying Light right now for one mission. Read More...

The Day/Night Cycle Of Dying Light Is Intense
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Dying Light shows off the vast differences between playing the game during the day and night For Dying Light there have been two huge things mentioned as selling points time and time again. This first being the Free Running that Techland has looked to perfect in the game and the second being that of how viscous the Day/Night cycle will make the game. You know, the whole zombies getting crazier, stronger, faster, and smarter once the sun goes down in Harran. Just in case Techland and Warner Bros. Read More...

Your First Intro Into Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
The intro cinematic for Dying Light has been released from Techland and Warner Bros. Let's spoil that opening first few minutes Earlier in the week we were given the story trailer for Dying Light and its aim was supposedly to help us all understand what is going on in the game's story mode. It actually added many more questions than answers which is usually a good thing but it still feels like Techland and Warner Bros. are keeping it all coy about what we will truly be experiencing when Dying Light launches. At least in the way of story. Read More...

The Fun Of Getting Around Harran In Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
More gameplay for Dying Light has been released showing off the many different ways you can get around Harran while free-running Here we go with another gameplay video for Dying Light to show off all the free movement we are going to have when the game finally launches next year. This has to be the biggest selling point and new innovation for Techland and Warner Bros. given it is coming out around the same time as a whole bunch of other zombie titles. We wouldn't want Dying Light to become some kind of white noise in the background of all the zombie killing we are going to be doing on our PS4 or Xbox One do we? Read More...

Check Out The First Assignment For Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
New gameplay for Dying Light has been released and it gives more background on the game's world and overarching story line There is nothing like spoiling the first bit of a game and now we get to spoil the first "mission" of Dying Light. Well more IGN was allowed to do so as Techland and Warner Bros. can secure completely positive responses from them and not many others out there. Why else do you think the first bit of exclusive Xbox One gameplay went there and not to the social accounts for Dying Light or the companies involved with making and publishing the game? This Week In Video Games 11/24/14 — 11/28/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 29th of November 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games The biggest take away for this week in video games would have to be Evolve, Reviews, and Telltale. When you look at the list of what we were able to cover this week in video games then it should be easy for you to see just about that. There were a few deviations from that list of items there but with American Thanksgiving and Black Friday causing so many hiccups in the news streams not many other developers and publishers had much in the way of news and updates for their titles. I am sure that will not be the case for the next few weeks given what is coming up in the world of video games. Read More...

Review: Tales From The Borderlands — Zer0 Sum
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Tales From The Borderlands — Zer0 Sum. This is the first episode of Telltale's take on Gearbox's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did The first episode and debut of Tales From The Borderlands is now here. This has been one of those most talked about titles and fans of the Borderlands franchise have been questioning its worth since the first announcement about a year ago. This is a huge franchise with a lot of rabid fans so Telltale had their work cut out to make Gearbox's franchise prosper in a non-FPS way. Did they hit the nail on the head or is this just another QTE sit and watch a predictable plot. Read More...
