Nintendo Is Bringing The World Championships Back At E3 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Nintendo has released their upcoming plans for E3 2015 and one of them involves bringing the Nintendo World Championships back after a long hiatus Normally it isn't big news, at least big news to me, when a company like Nintendo announces the times for their upcoming press conferences like the one that happens each year at E3. Unless there is a big hardware or franchise return update there really isn't much to go on, especially when it comes to Nintendo lately. Even the huge thing for the Wii U was kind of a bust and not all too much to write online about. Read More...

Universal Parks Will Soon House A Nintendo Land
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Nintendo and Universal Parks are teaming up to bring us all the Nintendo experiences we want in the real world It looks like all of us who ever wanted to wander into any of Nintendo's properties are going to be able to do just that sometime in the near future. It was announced that Nintendo is now partnering up with Universal Parks to bring some of their huge IPs to said parks around the world to let us all experience what a day in the life of Mario Mario would be like. Okay, well maybe not that far but there are going to be attractions and experiences at Universal Parks that will be solely focused on some of Nintendo's major IPs. At this time it has not been specified with games, stories, or characters Nintendo and Universal will be bringing but we can know that they just are coming. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
New rumors out there is a Legend Of Zelda live action show is being developed by Netflix from the Wall Street Journal It's only been seven years since we had that IGN April Fool's joke about there being a live action Legend Of Zelda film in the works so it is about time we get that all spinning up again right? Of course it is. Only this time it isn't April Fool's Day and this doesn't look like some elaborate hoax to generate web traffic to the IGN website. Read More...

Will The Wii U Be Worth It?
by Greg Tatterfield [ Tuesday, 4th of September 2012 - 05:16 PM ]
In 2006 Nintendo released the Wii which was the successor to the GameCube. The Wii had huge success in both China and North America. The Wii quickly outsold the PS3 and the XBox 360 at its low price point of $249.99 at launch. After 6 years Nintendo is planning to release their new console the Wii U sometime this year. The Wii U marks the only next generation console releasing this year. Being the first console out of the starting gate the question is will it be worth it the price? Read More...

Trailer Park (11/9/11)
by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 9th of November 2011 - 05:47 PM ]
Alright it's time for the next installment to Trailer Park! First up we got a magnificent trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii, showing off some beautiful landscapes and scenery featured in game, as well as some game play and story elements all to a gorgeous orchestral number. Now I sadly will not be getting Skyward Sword, as much as I would like to simply because I don't have a Wii and I really don't plan on ever getting one. A heavy price to pay to miss out on this gorgeous looking game. Read More...

E3 2010 Hands-On: The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 21st of June 2010 - 03:50 PM ]
It started with a rush of excitement from the crowd in the Nokia Theatre on Tuesday morning and proceeded throughout E3. A brand-new Legend of Zelda was coming to the Nintendo Wii. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the Wii Motion Plus-based adventure fans have been clamoring for since the little white box’s inception. Not much of the story has been released for Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but judging by the reaction at the Nintendo Press Conference and how long people were willing to wait in line to experience the brief demo at E3, that is not a concern…yet. All these people needed (myself included) was simply the chance to put the announced one-to-one movements to the test. Read More...

Review: Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 7th of January 2010 - 09:56 PM ]
Though Spirit Tracks is far from innovative, it boasts enough improvement in gameplay and graphics over Legend of Zelda’s previous release on the Nintendo DS, Phantom Hourglass, to insure its success.  Not every game has to be groundbreaking to entertain its audience.  Spirit Tracks takes fans of the Zelda franchise into another quest to save Hyrule – this time with Zelda’s spirit accompanying and assisting Link along the way.The story, including why you need to visit the Tower of Spirits, is not particularly innovative, but it has a certain amount of charm. A few generations after the adventure of Link and Tetra in Phantom Hourglass, peace reigns in Hyrule with Princess Zelda ruling. Read More...

Zelda Still Nothing More Than A Phantom
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 10th of November 2009 - 03:06 AM ]
Last week, Nintendo announced that "for the first time" Link and Zelda will team up to save Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. When I first came across this bit of news, I honestly didn't think much of it. Don't get me wrong -- I'm looking forward to the next adventure with Link on the DS -- but after playing it at E3, I have had modest expectations on new gameplay. The more I thought about this new bit of news, the more excited I got. After 20+ years of waiting to be saved by Link, Zelda is coming to the forefront to assert herself as a dominant character in the series. Read More...

Zelda Wii: Five Ways Wii Motion Plus Can Make the Series Pop
by Brian Bentley [ Sunday, 2nd of August 2009 - 10:28 PM ]
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was essentially a port from the Gamecube to the Wii with improved controls. Now, “New Play Control” Wii games like Pikmin and Mario Tennis now sell for the reduced price of $30 USD. Twilight Princess, being a launch title on Wii, sold for the full $50 USD price point. I do not regret spending the money; the game was extremely enjoyable and since I had not played it on the Gamecube, it was a fresh and exciting first Wii game for me. At E3 this year, Shigeru Miyamoto announced that a new Legend of Zelda was being created for the Wii and released one piece of concept art. Read More...

E3 Hands-On Impressions of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
by Brian Bentley [ Saturday, 6th of June 2009 - 09:25 AM ]
Cooks, mathematicians and sports teams all employ a powerful weapon to achieve success in their chosen fields: formulas.  Much will be said from E3 2009 and beyond until well after the launch of the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.  A lot of it will probably not be flattering.  Nintendo has found a graphical and stylistic formula on the Nintendo DS that is both successful and fun.At Nintendo’s booth this year at E3, I was able to avoid the long wait times associated with playing an anticipated title like The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and go hands-on for the entire demo.  The demo was split into 3 parts: Dungeon, Boss and Train. Link Of Awesome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of November 2008 - 08:59 PM ]
Videos For Zelda Fans For some reason I have been having a few issues finding anything decent to write about as of late for you guys. But don't fret, not that you would, I have a couple of videos that I stumbled on that you might find of interest. This first on is a scene from Resident Evil 4 where instead of Leon, there is a Link skin instead. Still not sure how it happened or if it is just someone's really good video editing skills to do this, but it is completely amazing. This next one is kind of of interest and a little bit of news. The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy
by Sam [ Thursday, 14th of August 2008 - 03:25 AM ]
Fans of The Legend of Zelda may like this. A philosophy coming out late this November on Amazon.com     With both young and adult gamers as loyal fans, The Legend of Zelda is one of the most beloved video game series ever created. The contributors to this volume consider the following questions and more: What is the nature of the gamer's connection to Link? Does Link have a will, or do gamers project their wills onto him? How does the gamer experience the game? Read More...

IGN Rubs In The PWNage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of April 2008 - 08:07 PM ]
Zelda on the Big Screen Wow, and I thought I had no life. But here's a fun fact about that April Fools Zelda Trailer; they spent almost a year for set up. Yes! You read that right. And what's more, here they go and show you the behind the scenes of it all. It's longer than the actual "Trailer" they made. I hope they are happy with the waste of money and time just to prank the game community, most of whom knew it was a fake from the first watching of it. Congrats. Read More...

Total Link PWNage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of April 2008 - 09:40 PM ]
Legend Of Zelda Movie Trailer Premiere Ok, so I could have the largest dick in the universe and report this as 100% real, but I am not. In fact, I've been trolling around to find real stuff to report on, but alas, today is the day that everyone goes above and beyond to pull a prank. For F*cks sake, some of these "Joke" ideas are good enough to be made real; like the Bard class for WoW. But no, everyone has got to have their turn at teasing the world only to kick them in the virtual nuts by saying ha-f*cking-ha. I mean, I like a joke more than the next guy, but when you go to extreme lengths like what you will see below, it is no longer a good joke but just harmful. Read More...
