Clash Of The Frog People...Er I Mean...Titans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 13th of March 2010 - 12:42 AM ]
Maybe I am forgetting what happened in the 1981 version of Clash of The Titans, but I don't remember there being frog people challenging Perseus. It was a long time ago, but I still have no recollection of that. Please correct me if I am wrong. But in any instance, Perseus looks to be taking on frog people in the new game based on the remake of the classic Clash of The Titans. On top of our amphibian friends, it looks like a load of other new creatures were also made just for the game. Which continues the question I posed before, is this loosely based off a remake that looks loosely based off the original? Read More...

Not Your Parents Clash Of The Titans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 12:30 AM ]
Only a little more than a month away until the "remake" of the classic 1981 Clash Of The Titans hits theaters. For those who are early 80's movie retarded, it was a retelling of the Greek story of Perseus' persecution. Albeit a bit skewed from the original tale for film purposes, but a fun clay-mation driven film. The new film a deviation from the original from the looks of things, and not just the modern effects and CGI, but a bit of the story. The film is not what this is all about though. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of February 2010 - 10:44 PM ]
Who want's to get teased? Who wants to get teased about Fallout: New Vegas? I see you with your hand and heart in the air. Yes you right there. Stop pretending that I am not talking to you. We all know you want to see a small glimpse at what is kind of to come with New Vegas. If you don't, then please step out and check out the other articles on AggroGamer here. Ok, now that it is just us here who want to salivate over the new teaser for New Vegas, let me say this, it doesn't really tell a whole lot about what is going on the the game. It is a nicely rendered video showing what were expecting, a nice shiny city in the middle of a huge waste land with a few high tech robots picking up stuff. Read More...

So, raise your hand if you were upset when Hellgate: London was shut down. Look at all those virtual hands out there that seemed so depressed that I brought this up again. But turn those sad hands and faces upside down, it looks like you will most likely be getting this wonderful game and it's servers back up and running in the not to distant future. Like sometime this year distant future. With a new upgraded version and more player to go along with that as well. Read More...

Tekken: The Movie... The Trailer.. From Last Year?
by Kevin [ Monday, 18th of January 2010 - 06:14 PM ]
Surprisingly, there are many out there who are not aware of the Tekken live action film. Not surprisingly, I would consider those people fairly lucky. What's really interesting is that the movie supposedly dropped in the US, LAST NOVEMBER. Does anyone remember this? Essentially, the story was as such: "In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu. In order to keep the masses down, Mishima sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters battle until one is left standing, who in turn will receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth. We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a teenage street fighter who enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon the Mishima Zaibatsu's most powerful and controlling chairman – Heihachi Mishima. Splatterhouse A Metaphor For Black Friday?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of December 2009 - 01:33 PM ]
Just in time for the horrors we will all endure for the holiday shopping. A little something to get us all in the mood to go to the mall and deal with all the demon faced humans happy going, gift shoppers of America. A sight that, if you are lucky, will look like the below screens. Blood and creatures included. At least if you use your imaginations or go to Walmart after the ads have been placed out there. Enough jesting. Read More...

I Think Splatterhouse Could Use More Gore
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of October 2009 - 01:25 PM ]
Wow, it's hard to believe it has been over 20 years since the original Splatterhouse came out in arcades and then ported to the TurboGrafx 16. It was only thought to be remade by BottleRocket Entertainment earlier this year. Now it is all being handled by Namco Bandai Games who took on a few of the collapsed developer. But that is a different tale altogether. This one is all about how things have been progressing for Splatterhouse since the shift. Read More...

Not Just Clashing With The Titans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of October 2009 - 03:26 PM ]
Ok, so it is no surprise that another movie is getting the video game treatment. This time Clash of the Titans from Legendary Pictures is getting it's very own game based on the original film and the remake that is coming out next year. When you think about it, it could be a decent game, if done in the same epic style as God of War and Dante's Inferno. This is the type of film that brought the epic style to mainstream entertainment and out of your mother's basement. DnD player you know what I'm talking here. Read More...

You will be 'Enslaved'
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 30th of September 2009 - 04:11 PM ]
So back in August, Namco Bandai and Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory announced at Gamecom that they would be creating a partnership together. They also announced they would be developing a "blockbuster title with strong pan-Western sensibilities" for PS3 and XBox 360. Well now we have details on that very title. The title 'Enslaved' is loosley based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. Players take on the role of Monkey and Trip and travel through post-apocalyptic America. Read More...

The Ultimate Gaming Wishlist
by Jesse [ Friday, 3rd of July 2009 - 02:28 AM ]
I think if you look at the landscape of films that have been adapted from video games, generally it looks a lot like what comic book movies were like when they were first being released. Yes the original Superman and the original Batman movies from the mid-late 1980’s are classics, but look down the line at some of the sequels. Look across the board to movies like The Punisher or Captain America. These were awful movies. Read More...

The Ultimate Gaming Wishlist
by Jesse [ Thursday, 11th of June 2009 - 04:01 PM ]
The inclusion of three Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur IV was a hot button issue that polarized a lot of fans. For some they were an interesting addition to the tale of souls and swords. For others they were cheap, overpowered and had no business being there. Personally, I’m a huge Star Wars fan and I loved having them in the game. I can agree that a little more tweaking should have went in to making them more balanced like most of the other characters in the roster. Everyone knows just how ridiculous fighting against Yoda was, but even still this felt like the truest adaption of lightsaber combat in a video game. Read More...

What Do You Fight For?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of April 2009 - 06:33 PM ]
Tekken 6 XBox 360 Title Preview: Spring 2009 Trailer Where did all the fighting go in this fighting game? That was something I though after watching the latest trailer for the console version of Tekken 6. I mean watch the trailer and see. There looks to be more going on than just fighting in this fighting game. People with guns, fat guys moving faster than they really should be able too, you get the picture. What this does look like though is that there is the chance there will be more story going on in the game outside of the characters are just getting down and dirty for their own greedy needs.
